NJ : Didn't we abort this plan?

AT. WANG : (-replies him quietly-) Ok Tak-ssi is right outside. He decided to stand as our testimony. Don't worry. We are going to give our 200 percent.

Namjoon, still ambivalent, didn't debate further as the projector was all set for the presentation.

Attorney Wang first opened the file of Seol Ah's application form with the contract in the next slide.

AT. WANG : This is Kim Seol Ah, my client's current manager. Here's the contract of her three months work schedule with him.

The Judge, including all others, patiently listened to everything Attorney was trying to deliver.

AT. WANG : On 12th, friday night. (-slides a caller list-) A call was received on her phone. This number is registered under the director of SK entertainment, Mr.Kim Seong.

SEONG PD : What nonsense is this! How does this even relate to the case?!

JUDGE : Please keep your voice down in the court.

LY. MUN : I apologize on behalf of my client. But, he is right. They are trying to confuse the court in unnecessary directions. I object, Your Honor.

JUDGE : Objection overruled. The court will let the defence complete.

AT. WANG : Thank you, Your Honor.

JUDGE : Proceed.

AT. WANG : Yes. My question is, why would there be a need for Mr. Kim to call Ms. Seol Ah then? But, before I seek for an answer. I would like to complete.

JUDGE : Continue.

AT. WANG : The very next evening, there was an official party held in his entertainment agency. And if you watch this clip...

The clip had a few police officers going into the boutique with the dress Seol Ah had borrowed. The staff members, unaware of the matter, identified Seol Ah as the girl who borrowed them from her passport.

AT. WANG : If my assumption is right, Seol Ah-ssi was manipulated into attending that very party. For which, she had to borrow the clothes to fit the dress code.

JUDGE : What are you pointing towards, Attorney Wang?

AT. WANG : From a talk with my client, I was knowledged that Seol Ah-ssi had been assaulted as she returned the same night.

JUDGE : Is she going to speak as a testimony?

AT. WANG : No, Your Honor. I am afraid, she cannot.

He next presented the hard copy of Seol Ah's medical report to the judge as he continued.

AT. WANG : Here's her blood report after the night, which confirms she was under sedation. The doctor added, it is given to patients to cease their memory of their extreme surgeries. Which implies, she doesn't remember most of what happened.

SEONG PD : How do you claim, it was me who sedated her? It could be somewhere else while she was returning.

AT. WANG : I never mentioned it was you, Mr. Kim. Neither that it happened inside the Agency. By your words, I suppose we can confirm she did actually go to your party.

Seong PD had visible sweat glistening his forhead. Attorney's smooth thesis, that having accused over something as grave as this, he would most definitely have a wrong take with his swift unstability.

By the glares, the judge fired at Seong PD, lawyer Mun found it best to stay quiet and cooperate.

LY. MUN : (-quietly to his client-) Please, calm down. Let them finish.

AT. WANG : (-continues-) But, that would be too vague, right? So, we have a witness working under SK. It was him, who helped her that night to escort her back to the neighborhood of where she lives. In fact, he has also provided us attestations of numerous other times from the past of Mr. Kim's deeds. Here are the clips and identity informations he had collected.

The was a compilation of a few clips with proper face visible in the footage. What the PD thought he had erased from his CCTV records everytime. They were in sooth, laid hands upon by Ok Tak, while the former was busy getting his pants down.

JUDGE : (-after the entire presentation-) Attorney Wang, this is a very clean study. You have plenty of evidences against Mr.Kim. However, this all leads to a different case. These doesn't prove your client's innocence in the plagiarism.

AT. WANG : It will, if I tell you, that one year ago my client shared his ideas on this very album which convinced Mr.Kim to sign him. Later, he rejected the agency upon the director's perverted eyes for his first manager, Ms. Cha Chae Ri.

Lawyer Mun, on serious thoughts, was unable to figure anything out, to escape the trap planted by their opposition. Along with the Judge, it was also his first time learning that profile of Seong PD.

AT. WANG : Mr. Kim couldn't take the humiliation and summoned her once again without my client's knowledge.

Assuming Chae Ri's incident and the plagiarism being two distinct cases, Seong PD never felt the need to be open about it with his lawyer. The biggest hole that the prosecution had at that point.

AT. WANG : As I have mentioned about this in my previous debates as well. The controversy, of a year before, to defame my client and close his way to any other agency. Now, I will add, it aired right after that incident. With my investigations, the anonymous site which aired the same belongs, invariably, to SK entertainment. Is that all, a coincidence?

The case was then teased with further complications and unforeseen faces. Seong PD grew a little more certain that the person behind Julia was Namjoon indeed. The text his phone beeped within a second, that Seong PD checked under the table, just confirmed it.

AT. WANG : Thereby, my case, Your Honor. It was purely his wants of revenge on my client of the accusation regarding plagiarism. He also tried to provoke him further by targeting his managers.

JUDGE : Do you have a verification to prove Ms. Cha's presence in the agency about that incident?

AT. WANG : Unfortunately, none. I have tried. But, she is not reachable.

JUDGE : That nullifies your present claim, Attorney Wang. The court asks for evidences as you might be well aware about. Although, you have a strong base for the assault case, the plagiarism still remains where it is.

With the lack of just one thing- Chae Ri's whereabouts- the scene turned stressful for the defence yet again. It was just so unfair, that despite the grounds provided, the law was blind to just one little speck that depended for its judgment.

JUDGE : The court can only give you a little more time to get Ms. Cha's testimony.

Lawyer Mun knew that he beared his last chance of debate at that moment. So, he gripped firm on it instantly.

LY. MUN : But, there's no point in doing that, Your Honor. If Ms. Cha was the manager, she would have been in their touch. I am afraid, that is a made-up story in the basis of other evidences. They are trying to force the merge of two different cases.

JUDGE : I can see your point, Lawyer Mun. But, the defendants have presented a solid base to make their claim. In that matter, the court is bound to dig to the depths of it.

AT. WANG : (-hopeful-) Thank you, Your honor. We won't let the court down.

JUDGE : Mind it, Attorney Wang. If you fail to bring the testimony or any other ways to prove this sole thing. I will have to take measures against your clashing cases. I am hoping you are aware of the consequences.

AT. WANG : Very well, Your Honor. I will agree with any kind of penalties with due respect.

JUDGE : All right. The court gives the defendants, three days of time. Next hearing will be on Friday. Any complaints?

LY. MUN & AT. WANG : Negative, Your honor.

JUDGE : The court is adjou-

The Judge was immediately interrupted by one of the guards outside, before he could conclude.

There was something he informed the Judge quietly, while others held their breaths in‐ still clueless.

JUDGE : There's a lady outside claiming she has something that this case would require. Are you aware of such person, Attorney Wang? Lawyer Mun?

LY. MUN : No, not that we were expecting anyone.

AT. WANG : Not in my knowledge as well.

JUDGE : Alright. The court is suspending for a brief half an hour break. Let's hear her side then.

With the Judge's leave from the court room, Attorney and Namjoon shared a nervous stare.

NJ : Could it be, Chae.. Chae Ri?

AT. WANG : Let's head out first.

Consternation had the best of Namjoon, just in the absolute fear of facing the facade of something he so ardently tried to avoid.

The two in the opposition of Namjoon led the way to leave the room, as the latter was finding it too hard to encounter his dread sitting outside.

With the door finally sliding out of an obstruction of his sight, Namjoon moved his gaze to the direction. Only, to find someone who was the last person he had expected.

NJ : (-eyes wide-) . . .
