Silver's POV

The nickname... He mentioned it again... The nickname I was known in high school is "Absolute Zero Silver."

Ugh, making me remember the memories.

I rubbed my forehead and ate a piece of chocolate bonbon, you know, the chocolate that has liquor and the one Ms. Juvia ate a year ago, at Paris. Don't ask me why I know that.

I felt dizzy all of a sudden. I ate that chocolate because I want to have a peace of mind and I want to sleep. Why is my dad like this? Too controlling...

Before I knew it, I was already asleep.

I punched the guy on his face, making him fall back and look at me in fear. There were blood on his shirt already, and on his mouth.

"M-Monster...!" He shouted and looked at me as if he was seeing an evil creature.

I looked at him with no emotions showing in my eyes. "Call me a monster, I don't care, loser."

He stood up while shivering and ran away from me. I wiped the blood from my hand.

The guy I was punching earlier is--- Rave Lockser.

Nah, I'm kidding. Its just some dude who tried to take advantage of a girl who's in my school and at the same time, my classmate.

I turned to her and she was crying. Her black hair is messed up and her eyes are a bit reddish from her tears. I walked to her and knelt down in front of her. "Hey, are you okay? It's going to be alright now."

She looked at me while sobbing. And, widened her eyes a bit. "A-A-A-Absolute Z-Zero Silver...?"

Ugh, that nickname. I was called like that because I always beat up people and I was always with no emotions when doing it. Some people say that I look like a dead person whenever I fight someone.

I was almost like a vicious, gangster person in our school. People feared me but there was this guy, Rave, who's always been at my side, my best friend.

"Don't worry, Mika. He won't bother you anymore." I bluntly said, my eyes showing no emotions.

"T-Thank you..." She said, wiping her tears but they continue to come out though. "I-I was *sobs* so scared *sob*... T-Thank you so much. *sobs*"

"No need to thank over it. I just can't stand seeing a boy taking an advantage of a highschool girl." I told her.

She giggled, while wiping her tears and I noticed her getting happy a bit. "You're quite funny, Silver."

My eyes blinked. She called me 'Silver', not 'Absolute Zero Silver'. It somehow... Made me happy a bit inside.

"Not really." I said, standing up and putting both of my hands in my pockets. "Anyways, I gotta go now. You should be careful on the way home, got it?"

She nodded and stood up. She wiped her tears and smiled. "Okay, thank you again."

Then, the next day, we didn't talked o each other.

"This is Mika, your fiancee." My dad, Gold Fullbuster, told me and introduced me to his best friend's daughter.

I just turned 20 and now, I have to get married.

She smiled at me and her long black hair, was now shorten up to her shoulders. She was  wearing a simple white dress and white sandals. She looked more matured, than the Mika I knew before.

"Nice to see you again, Silver-kun." She said, stretching her hand out to me. I just looked at it and sighed.

I didn't shook her hand but I just said, "Yeah, yeah. Same to you." She flinched but regained her smile again.

"I'm happy to hear that."

I wasn't dating anyone and I'm not expecting that because of my reputation so I have nothing against this arranged marriage. And, since its Mika, I think its okay...

Why did I think that?

Father left us at the living room to get to know each other better but, I don't really know how we can get to know each other. She was sitting opposite next to me, playing with her fingers.

She must be nervous.

After all, she's going to marry the "Absolute Zero Silver" from her past school.

I should be talking to her but I don't really know what topic I should say...

"U-Umm... S-Silver-kun?" She started while stuttering. I raised my head up, waiting for her to say something. "D-Do you wanna take a walk outside?"

"Outside? You want to go out?"

She nodded slowly. Her face is so red, like a tomato. Is she nervous? Yeah... It must be that.

I stood up, putting both of my hands in my pockets. "Well, let's go. Dad won't mind." She nodded once and held her handbag.

We both went out of the house and and started walking towards the nearest park, just 2 blocks away. Shouldn't I be holding her hand?

That would be awkward.

"S-Silver-kun..." She called out.

"Hmm?" I answered.

"A-Are you disappointed?" She asked while frowning. "That I'm your fiancee? The weak girl you saved back then at highschool?"

What is she saying?

I furrowed my eyebrows and we didn't stopped walking. "What do you mean? I'm not disappointed."

Her eyes sparkled and her cheeks are turning red. "R-Really?"

"Yeah. I'm not disappointed. Why should I be?" I bluntly said. She should be the one who's disappointed because she's going to marry the gangster.

I'm not that mean now. Back at middle school, I was the happiest person you'll ever meet but... I changed when I was in highschool because I was stressed... Because of my father.

I was surprised when she suddenly wrapped her arm around mine. Her bangs covered her eyes while saying, "I-It's alright, right?"

What's with her?

We both continued on walking and as we walk, I noticed people looking at us. Its not 'PDA'. Maybe, they don't just see this in their everyday life.

After a while, we reached our destination. We both sat under the tree, just enjoying the sunlight. It was around 5:30 in the afternoon. Pretty late, huh?

"S-Silver-kun... T-Tell me about yourself." Mika suggested.

"About me? There's nothing really special about me..."

"There should be something. Well..." She said. She looked like she was remembering something. Then, she clicked her fingers and smiled. "Tell me why you were called 'Absolute Zero Silver' back at high school."

I darn knew it.

I looked away. "It's none of your business."

"Aw... Come on, tell me." He said, holding unto my arm. "I'm your fiancee and a friend at the same time. You can tell me anything you want to say."

I let out a huge sigh and looked at her. She was staring at me with her puppy eyes, which I find it cute. And, her hands are clasped to each other.

"... Because of my father. You know, it's really stressing, to have a parent that expects too much of you. I guess, its why my mom left my dad..." I blurted out. "I sometimes wish, I want a different life. Not an heir to a company, but just a normal life...."

"... I feel you Silver-kun." She said, which made me widen my eyes and look at her. "I'm an heiress too so I know how you're feeling right now. The expectations, the rights... I don't even know if this is the right path for me."

I chuckled. "I guess, we're on the same boat then."

I feel warm when I'm with her, even its cold outside. I'm comfortable with Mika.

"... That's why, I've come to like you, Silver-kun."

My heart skipped a beat.

"W-What?"

Her face turned red. "I-Its not like, I'm expecting an answer this fast."

What? Being a tsundere character.

"But, I just want you to know that I love you ever since you saved me back then. I wasn't able to talk to you after that day or confess because I was shy... Then, we graduated. I wanted to confess but... I couldn't. And now, I'm glad I'm able to say my feelings to you now. Sure, I first thought that you 'were' that bad but after that day, I found out that you're the bravest person I ever met, the coolest person too." She raised her head up and told me, eye to eye, "I love you, Silver-kun. Not as a gangster, but as Silver Fullbuster."

I didn't noticed it but, I felt tears streaming down on my face.

She put her hand on my cheek and asked, "S-Silver-kun? Are you okay?"

I touched her hand, which is on my cheek and closed my eyes, feeling warmness. I guess... This is why I'm so comfortable when she's around. This is why I feel warm... I found my 'warm'.

"Thank you, Mika... That, at least there was someone who thought like that. All these years, I thought I'm the worst person to ever live on earth. I'm thankful that... there's someone like you, by my side. Thank you..." I said and opened my eyes. And for the first time, I smiled warmly.

She smiled back. "Always."

And so, after 3 months, Mika and I got married. I slowly fell for her as we live together in the mansion dad and her father constructed. I finally found the girl who'll stay by my side forever... And Rave told me, that I'm returning back to my old self: The happy and jolly person, like I was back then at middle school.

Marrying Mika, is something I will never forget.

I love Mika Fullbuster and I promise to protect her forever...

Along with our sunshine...

Gray Fullbuster.

The day when Mika gave birth to Gray... was also the day when she died. We were heading back to our home, with Gray on Mika's arms. Until...

I bumped the car to another car, causing a car crash.

I only hit my head on the glass so, there are only a few injuries but... Mika had it worst. She was hugging Gray so tightly and let herself... There was blood on her forehead and she was unconscious, she looked like she hit her head on the glass, which is shattered... Little Gray was crying on her arms and there weren't any injuries on him.

"M-Mika..." I said, while shivering and feeling my tears falling down from my eyes. I held her face and checked her heart beat.

There wasn't any.

I pulled her to my arms and cried. I let the love of my life to die... I let the girl who gave me warmth to die... I let her die...

I...

I looked at Grayand took him from Mika. While crying and holding her hand I said, "Mika... I promise to protect our sunshine... So, please..."

It was too late when I went to the hospital with Gray and Mika on my arms. Mika was already dead...

As a single father, I want Gray to grow up bravely and not to become like me. So, as he grows up, I try to forget  the pain... The fact that I was the reason Mika was killed. I told Gray about Mika when he was 16 years old but it didn't affected him that much because he didn't know her but I know, deep inside him, he wanted a mother.

After all, I'm both his mother and his father at the same time.

I miss you, Mika... I love you.

"I love you too, Silver-kun." 

I looked back and saw Mika in a white dress, standing in front of me and smiling. "Thank you for letting me love you, Silver-kun. Thank you for starting a family with me. Thank you for protecting Gray and guiding him to the right path. Juvia-chan, right? I will pray for the two of them. So, please... Continue on being a father to Gray."

"M-Mika..."

"Shh..." She puts a finger on my mouth. "Please don't blame yourself too much now. I'm at peace and I'll be waiting for you here, Silver-kun but please, don't come here now, just come when the time is right so now, protect Gray, our sunshine."

I woke up, with warm tears on my eyes. I stood up and saw my pillow is soaked. I must be crying for a  long time... Of course, that dream was long.

I smiled.

"Thank you, Mika." I whispered.

What if Invel makes Gray and Juvia fight each other? What if Gray dies again? What if Juvia dies?
