Damn, this is so amazing!!

First off, the lyrics...

These lyrics are pretty straightforward, yet I'll dissect it a bit...

' A head like steel and a soul of gold

And a heart that's made of glass

But mine's cracked '

A heart that's made of glass may seem pretty, but it is delicate. Easily cracked.

It may seem a pretty thing to have, but then you need to ensure the glass doesn't crack...

Perfect usage of the term!!

'No idea where I'm going

But there's no looking back'

I particularly like these lines because there's somewhat a sense of powering forward without too much looking back.

Yes, we do need to think about what has happened before, and let those experiences helm what lies ahead, but too much hesitation can lead one to lose opportunities, or let stuff go by...

For someone who's trusted too much and fallen, these lines may come as solace in that they can just go forward, taking what comes when it comes...

Why, oh why you do me like that '

When faced with a situation like the one described (when someone gladly hurt you), one can only wonder why someone did that...

But then, again, the chorus follows, subtly giving a hint to wonder, but then brush it aside and walk ahead, not looking back...

Then comes the melody, which is honestly just too awe- inspiring, what with Scott's powerful voice...

When you watch a live performance version of this song, you can see that Scott sings throughout the song and tends to get a bit breathless towards the bridge, but still keeps going at it.

That part between the bridge and the third chorus gives me chills!!

Then Mitch and Kirstie provide the perfect accompaniment to Scott's powerful vocals and complement the lyrics extremely well.

Avi's bass, yet again, is just on fleek!!

At the part ' I'm cracked ', just listen to the different voices. It's an awesome combo.

What can I say about Kevin, though? He never fails!!

Aside from the lead vocals, too, it's beautiful!!

On the whole, 'Cracked' is freaking awesome!!
