I woke up when a light flashed on my face, making my eyes clinch. That light was  from an unknown source.

I opened my eyes, after flickering and adjusting them in the brightness.

I wasn't in that room I remembered.
I wasn't in the dark where I was left after being  brutally raped.

I didn't feel the pain anymore.

I got up.

I looked around to notice that it was a different place that I couldn't recognise. There were no four corners of the room. There was no house. It was an open field, soft ground of grass I was laying on. Sun rays had woken me up from it's bright light.

I stood up and started to notice that the place I was standing was beautiful. There was a garden at a distance of few feets in front of me. I started walking towards it, mesmerized by it's beauty. As I was walking in the grass towards the garden, it seemed like the grass was whispering in the cold air, like a room full of people praying to god while saying ssshhhh together.

There was a smell of baked apple in the air. It was the smell of plants growing. The sun was showering the garden with its golden glow and sugar coating winter melted slowly from the roses. I crossed the garden which was full of red big roses. It was so big. I never ever had seen such a huge garden my life. I walked towards the end of the garden touching and feeling the softness of the roses. I smiled and looked at them, thinking of plucking one of the big red rose for me but I couldn't. It was too Beautiful to be plucked off.

I walked away to find a way to know where I was. So I kept walking. And then I saw something.

They say the earth is round and small. They all say true! After going through this much of pain, I'm still here. Coming back to this house. But it wasn't the same as I last saw it. It was changed. The structure of the house was bright as it was build and painted few days back only. I recognized that it was the same house where I was earlier, but how am I back to this house?

I saw a blurred image and stood back to go further near the house. The image was now getting bigger as it was coming towards me. Walking towards me. And I saw him! I saw Walter. He's here.

He stopped at a distance and reached out for me but before he could do anything or say anything I ran into him and hugged him. My face buried in his chest and exhaled his scent which was mixed with cinnamon and little bit of alcohol. He's been drinking but there's no other place I'll feel safe. He's my safe and happy place. I cried until my tears emptied. He held me tight as if he was holding my broken pieces together.

"Where have you been, I've been searching you from 3 hours. I searched every corner of your place but couldn't find you. I was scared to hell. Are you okay Angel? " he asked all these things in a breath. As if he was holding all these questions from the minute he started searching for me.

Where have I been?

Walter's POV :

"Where have you been, I've been searching you since 3 hours. I searched every corner of your place but couldn't find you. I was scared to hell. Are you okay Angel? " I asked all these things breaking the silence between us. She looked fine. Not tortured or in pain from her appearance but I was so scared. I knew that the demon who was after all this was powerful than any other spirit.

I looked at her and checked her up from head to toe but found nothing that could worry me. But still somewhere inside me there was this feeling that something is wrong with her.

"No no, I'm good. I just got scared after the light went and my cuts weren't giving me pain so I got up to find you but couldn't. So I decided to go for a walk and fresh air. I'm good don't worry. Look" she waved her hands in the direction of her body with a assuring smile but there was this unknown fear I could see in her eyes.

I nodded and didn't ask much because the way she was smiling was all I needed. I wanted her to be okay and good.
