my parents 15th marriage anniversary was today

yesterday, i heard my dad say to my mom "you wanna go order some take out for dinner tomorrow or somethin?"

and today i heard them walking about what gifts they were getting for each other

my dad said "i'll give you some Amazon cards after i get my paycheck,"

and my mom said "oh i didn't even get anything for you"

then, dad says, "i'm getting my truck Windows tinted in like a week so I thought that would be good enough"

honestly i think that's so much more touching than a huge romantic crazy anniversary because they don't NEED to prove their love to each other, they just chill out and they know.
