She felt alone.

She knew that she had this thing she did ; looking deeper into a matter than originally needed.

She thought that she was just overthinking everything, that everybody was still there for her, thinking that she was over-reacting...

Little did she know that it was actually happening ; her growing distant did not help the fact that she was already shy.

It's sad, really, that as soon as you are not as fun as people thought you were, they leave you and most likely will not engage a conversation with you again.

Her friends did the same.

The longer she stayed quiet and observed everything in different angles, the more friends she lost.
It is quite understandable though, who would want to talk to you when you never really talk anymore?

She only noticed what was happening at the very end, when it was too late.

She didn't know what to do anymore, it was already hard for her to get those friends who left her, let alone trying to make new ones or even regain the old ones!

So she stayed quiet.

It was no problem for her to enjoy being by herself, she already did that all the time before.

Little by little, she started hearing voices in her head, telling her how she was worthless and couldn't even be friends with anybody.
She listened.
Those voices were the same as the ones which gave her good advice, so she always listened, starting to believe them as time passed.

She told herself that no matter how much she tried now, she would never get back what once was hers ; happiness, friendship, humour.

She was too stupid and worthless for that.

The worst in all of this was that nobody noticed. Everyone led their own lives.
No one seemed to care.
She believed the voices even more.
Soon enough, they became her only friends.
Yes, they were talking bullshit about her, but at least they were talking to her.

She slipped deeper and deeper into those dark abysses.
No one knew...

Until it was too late to do anything.
