Okay so I entered a contest on DA and I was actually pretty proud of the result. So yay me.

The prompt was draw a moment from Undertale that really struck you for some reason or another. They also asked for a reasoning, so I guess I'll put it.

This moment is actually a pretty big one for me. I had just been gifted the game a day or two ago on Steam, and as payment for the gift, my friends insisted they saw every little reaction of gameplay through Skype. So I went with it. Every time I played Undertale my first time through, we all got in a call. So far, the game seemed pretty normal to me. Sure, the game mechanics were unique, but so far, I had seen most of these plot elements. A major character dying. Someone who seemed to be nice is out to kill you. All those things made Undertale seem pretty normal at first. The first time I really saw what set this game aside from the others is this battle.

Dating characters in video games. The only time I'd done this before was Fire Emblem Awakening, and even then, I was forced to marry Chrom since I always paired us up together. (I dont regret it though. Hehehee) One of my friends called out as I was looking through the ACT options Come on, Kat! Flirt with the skeleton! You know you want to! Meanwhile my sister was just plain confused and my other friend was thrilled and started saying she shipped Papyrus and I. It was at this moment that I really started getting into Undertale. This was the moment that started to set Undertale aside from any other game I played. And from this moment, I never looked at Undertale (or any story-based game for that matter) the same. It helped me appreciate just what makes a game unique and the stories behind it and it's characters.
