Our Modern Language
Here's what I don't get. I read a lot of Shakespeare and epics and classics, and the language is so much different from how we talk today. Like, most words don't even exist anymore.
But it was so beautiful. So profound. So eloquent.
Now we've lost so much and taken away from none other than ourselves. What will our language be like in the future? Will all of our words somehow be reduced to a single syllable? Will we use more slang than actual words? Or text abbreviations?
It's a sad fact of life.
I would encourage you readers to expand your vocabulary every day so we don't lose more of our language. You're a writer, (most likely if you're on this app anyway) which means you probably value this topic as much as I do. So thanks for reading and please give a vote to show your support.
Once again, I love each and every one of you. I'm so thankful that I'm almost to 1,000 works reads! Thank you guys!
My faithful readers are my favourite people.
