Quirk
Quirk:
. Bloodcurdle
. Blood Manipulation
He sometimes calls it Bloodcurdling Manipulation for short.
Bloodcurdle is an already known quirk, and despite the fact he'll be associated with his father if he uses it, he does use it. His mother's quirk was blood manipulation, which allows him to manipulate his own blood and the blood of others. It's a disgusting quirk, as he calls it, and it always makes him queasy or cringe. He'll even feel pretty nauseous at just the thought of having to ingest someone's blood.
Bloodcurdle, of course, allows him to paralyze others by ingesting their blood. It lasts the longest on B, shortest on O. He not only has Bloodcurdle to aid him in a fight, however.
Blood Manipulation allows him to do two things: use his blood to create attacks, or to use others' blood to create attacks. His own blood is drawn out from his tear ducts, which seems painful, but because it's his quirk, it's rather painless. He can draw out blood and send it towards whoever he's attacking. His blood can be absorbed through the skin because of a special component it gets mixed with when it comes out of his eyes, and once his blood is in their body, he can control them like a puppet. You can tell when they're being controlled because strings of blood will be visible.
He can control them with his blood and make them come closer before he can take their blood and manipulate it, using their blood to attack any others that may also be around.
The weakness to this quirk, however, is anemia. He can become pretty anemic, sometimes dangerously so. After battles he takes a lot of blood building supplements. If it's bad enough he has to go to the hospital and get a blood transfusion. This is why he's often so pale.
He will start feeling dizzy and lightheaded after losing about 5% of his blood. He's small and not fully grown, so he can't handle losing that much yet. As an adult man he may be able to lose 14% before experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness.
By the time he's an adult, 15%-30% of blood loss will make him experience nausea, and it'll increase his heart rate and respiratory rate. His urine output and blood pressure will be decreased, and it could cause anxiety and unease.
By 35%, he'll show signs of confusion and/or disorientation. Sometimes it isn't so bad until 40% has been lost.
Hemorrhagic (or hypovolemic) shock usually occurs when you've lost 20% or more of your total blood volume. Symptoms may be:
. Rapid breathing
. Weakness or fatigue
. Confusion
. Cool, pale skin
. Sweaty, moist skin
. Anxiety or unease
. Low urine output
. Drowsiness
. Unconsciousness
The bright side to this is that since he's capable of manipulating blood, he can cause the blood to rapidly build itself back up so that he won't die or continue experiencing such serious side effects (but obviously he can't when he's unconscious, and those are the times he needs taken to the hospital). He can manipulate his own blood to increase the volume, or manipulate the blood of others to increase their blood volume.
At some point in his life, he learns to increase his volume of blood even while he's using his quirk to draw it out so he can keep his blood production up, which is safer for him.
If he doesn't manage to increase the volume of his blood, he can slip into a coma as his organs begin to fail. If he loses 50% of blood, then he will die, as the heart will stop pumping blood.
Again, however, he can force blood to increase in volume, so he shouldn't die.
It should be noted that when he's in a battle and also lightheaded, however, it'll be very difficult for him to focus on manipulating his blood to increase its volume. It's just best that he doesn't use too much of it and reuses any blood that he can.
