10: Graduating the Final Days

And just like that, it was the day before the last day. Mr. Jeon was going over the projects which were completed and turned in already. He had been distant and cold. He wouldn't even mention anything about the last late night encounter you both had. He wouldn't even direct his view towards you or slightly acknowledge you anymore. You were just one out of his many students.
It hurt you for some reason. You couldn't understand what made you suddenly feel that way but his actions hurt you.
"Whoever I haven't called up yet please stay after class," he said. He saw your work was up next so he put it at the end so you could stay after. You wondered what took so long for yours to come up when you were one of the firsts to turn it in. Eventually, when the bell rang more than half the class left, leaving you with five more students.
You noticed what was happening and figured out that it was on purpose. He handed back the last paper to the last student as she finally left.
"Come up," he said, not making eye contact with you. You stood up and went to his desk as he took out your paper. "I'm surprised with your work but there's one thing. Something didn't go right in the theme you chose. You got a 90 in total."
"Why only 90?"
You weren't complaining. It was still a great final score but you thought something higher would be better knowing that for your other stories you'd get 100's. It was confusing to you at first why he gave you 10 points less but then you knew he was just messing around with you on purpose.
"The theme wasn't followed correctly towards the story," he explained. "Wasn't it 24 hours/ forbidden love? Well the love lasted more than 24 hours didn't it?"
You suddenly widened your eyes at the lame excuse that he gave. He was being too strict with the whole theme on purpose when he knew very well that the story was very significant.
"I guess I got too caught up with it. Based on my own experience."
Hearing that made Jungkook look up at you immediately. He suddenly figured out the meaning of the story you wrote. It was about you both.
"Y/n-"
"Well what if it lasted more than 24 hours? For me it did, Mr. Jeon, but I guess I was the only one," you said, looking down. "I'm sorry. I'll get going now."
You grabbed your things and left the room, leaving him thinking about his actions all by himself.
+
"Really?"
"Yeah I'm not coming tomorrow," you said, throwing your stuff on the couch. You wiped out a tear that went out of your eye as Yeonjun noticed.
"Wait what's wrong?" He asked, standing in front of you and cupping your cheeks. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
At that moment you broke. Your tears trailed down your cheeks as he hugged you tight.
"I'm so embarrassed at this point. I don't want to see him again!"
"Who?" He asked worriedly. "Did Taejun bother you again?"
"Not him, let's not talk about it please. Just go and leave me here tomorrow. I refuse to go."
+
And so that happened. Yeonjun went to school without you as you stayed sleeping. Before leaving, he had checked up on you just to make sure you were okay and you were cuddled onto your pillows. You slept in peace for at least some time.
At school he kept wondering why you didn't want to go and what happened to you. But he wasn't the only one who had that thought in mind. He didn't know anything until his professor called his name before he could leave the classroom.
"Yes, Mr. Jeon?" Yeonjun asked, confused, as he walked to him.
"Have you seen your sister?" He asked. "Did she come to any of her classes today?"
"She didn't," Yeonjun replied. "She said she wasn't feeling well."
"Why? Is she okay?" Jungkook asked once again. "Did anything happen to her?"
It made him question why but he just shrugged, finding it a bit weird why his professor was so worried.
"She's sleeping at home."
Jungkook nodded and reached for something on his desk, handing it to Yeonjun right after, "This is her story. Please make sure to give it to her."
Yeonjun nodded, taking it and excusing himself out of the classroom. When he got home, he left the papers of the story on the kitchen counter as he got ready to head out once again to meet his girlfriend. You were just waking up when he left from taking a big nap when you went downstairs. You went to get something to eat and suddenly saw the papers on the counter.
"This is mine, but how?"
You flipped through the pages and froze, seeing something written on the side of it.
I fell in love with the story.
I fell in love like the gentleman and the damsel.
I fell in love like an idiot.
Because that damsel was right in front of me and I couldn't see it.
I refused to believe it. I was part of a forbidden love.
This gentleman couldn't show his feelings for the damsel and now she ran away from him.
Can I know the sequel in person? Please?
You left the paper on the counter realizing how he had written his number underneath as well. You grabbed the paper and ran with it to your room, hiding it and hoping that Yeonjun wouldn't find it. You sighed, thinking about it and wondering if what you read on the paper was actually true or not.
+
"Did you seriously do that?" He yelled. "What's wrong with you!? She's your student!"
"Come on Seokjin," Jungkook sighed. "She's not my student anymore. She graduated."
"But you should've been mature enough to not mess around with your student!" Seokjin argued. "Look I'm just saying this for your own good. I don't know who this girl is so you have to be careful on your own."
"I know, I know."
Actually he didn't know. He wanted to just leave and head over to you in order to tell you everything in person. To just talk and to explain himself. To hear your voice one more time. He just couldn't do it. He couldn't just go to his student's house. He knew you had your private life and for your professor to be part of it was just wrong.
