Chelia: "F-Father?"

Lyon: "That's correct. You've really grown since I last saw you"

Chelia's mind was soon consumed by rage and confusion.

Chelia: "Why the hell did you leave?"

Lyon: "That's no way to talk to—"

Chelia: "I CAN TALK HOWEVER I WANT!! This is my kingdom and I could have you killed with a thought!!"

Lyon: "As I expected, you have not learned about the customs of meeting royalty from other kingdoms"

Chelia: "Shut the hell up and answer the question!"

Lyon: "Fine, you're so quick to anger... you get that from your mother"

Lyon cleared his throat.

Lyon: "Your mother has kept secrets from you. Including that our kingdom was split in two on the day you were born"

Chelia's mind was racing. The kingdom was big enough as it is, but knowing it was split in two surprised her.

Chelia: "What do you mean? Why?"

Lyon: "Slave revolt. The slaves outnumber the average commoner 3 to 1. They weren't happy with how they were being treated. So in order to solve it, the kingdom split in two. The two kingdoms had different rules of how the slaves would be treated. Then we divided them up, making slave revolts more difficult to be successful"

Chelia: "And... you had to go to the other half to rule over it"

Lyon: "Correct"

Chelia: "S-So... t-that means..."

Lyon: "Correct, I'm the rightful ruler of the two kingdoms"

Chelia shook her head to get her mind clear.

Chelia: "No, you only rule that kingdom. Since mother died, I inherited this kingdom"

"Since mother died". Those three words echoed in Chelia's mind. Rage flowed into her head again.

Chelia: "Why did you kill mother?!"

Lyon: "What are you talking about?"

Chelia stood up.

Chelia: "Mother was killed in your throne room!"

Lyon grew a slight grin.

Lyon: "Though it is true she died in my throne room, I'm not the one who killed her"

Chelia: "Then who did?!"

The doors to the throne room opened and someone started walking inside. Chelia then saw it was Romeo, in all black armor. Chelia started freaking out a little.

Chelia: "W-What are you saying?!"

Lyon: "Romeo killed your mother"

Romeo: "On the King's orders, of course"

Black wind started surrounding Chelia.

Chelia: "You bastard!!"

Lyon: "Calm down. We only had her killed because she attempted to kill me first"

Chelia: "I don't care!!"

Chelia thrusted her hand out and shot a blast of black wind at Lyon. Romeo stepped in front of Lyon and created a wall of dark purple fire. The wind collided with the fire wall and somewhat exploded on impact. Chelia realized she wouldn't be able to beat them by herself.

Chelia: "Guards!"

No one came inside.

Chelia: "Guards!!"

Romeo: "I took them out. Not dead, just hurt"

Chelia: "Why are you doing this?!"

Lyon: "To reclaim what was once mine"

Romeo: "Shall I kill her?"

Lyon: "No, she is still my daughter"

Chelia: "Like you care!"

Lyon: "Fine, if you really don't like it, we will have a duel"

Chelia: "Sorry, but I'm going to win, I have 3 Blue Eyes White Dragons!!"

Lyon sighed.

Lyon: "I can't tell if you're being serious"

Chelia: "What kind of duel?"

Lyon: "A royal duel. You and a fighter of my choice will battle in the kingdom's arena in front of everyone, including the slaves. The victor will win the other's kingdom"

Chelia: "And what if I refuse?"

Romeo: "We could always kill you right here"

Chelia clenched her fists. Chelia was so angry and wasn't thinking clearly.

Chelia: "FINE!! I accept!! I'll kick whoever's ass I need to!!"

Lyon: "Very good"

Lyon turned around and started walking to the doors.

Lyon: "Tomorrow at noon, we will have the duel. If you don't show up, it's means you give up"

Chelia: "Don't get your hopes up, you bleach haired bastard. I'll be there"

Lyon walked out of the room while Romeo was following a few feet behind.

Romeo: "See you later, Princess"

Chelia: "See ya, shorty"

Since she'd met Romeo, Chelia and Wendy were taller than Romeo. And judging by how those words made Romeo flinch, it was pretty affective. Romeo then walked out. Chelia then fell back into her chair with her eyes wide open, horror in her eyes.

Chelia: "W-What did I just agree to..."

Chelia was about to have a mental breakdown. Romeo, who'd been her most trusted friend since Wendy left, had been the one who killed her mother. All Chelia wanted to do was hide and cry. She sat in the throne and cries into her knees.

Chelia: "W-What am I going to do...."

The Next Day, 11:55am

Chelia was on the inside of the kingdom's arena. It was pretty much like the Roman Colosseum, but a little bigger. She was in the waiting area, where once ready, she would enter the main fighting area. Chelia's body was shaking. She was doing her best to keep herself from crying.

???: "Queen Chelia, are you okay?"

Chelia turned and saw a tall, blonde woman behind her. Her name was Lucy, and she was the personal maid to the Queen. While Wendy was still in the castle, she'd grown close with Lucy.

Chelia: "I-I'm so scared..."

Lucy: "It'll be okay, my Queen. You're strong, stronger than you know. And when you beat them, you'll win their kingdom and be able to make all of their lives better too"

Chelia: "Yeah... I could"

Lucy: "There is no 'could'. You will win. And you will do that. You will beat them for your mother. You will beat them for threatening you. You will beat them for messing with your kingdom"

Chelia: "But if I lose, they could have me killed. I... I don't want to die..."

Lucy: "You won't die. We're in your kingdom. And on your command, we could have the king and the traitor assassinated"

Chelia stood up.

Chelia: "No, I'll beat them and drive them out with my own power. I'll do this for my kingdom"

Lucy: "You sound just like your mother, she would be very proud of the Queen you've become and will one day pass on to your child"

Chelia smiled for the first time since yesterday.

Lucy: "Also, do this for Wendy"

Chelia: "What do you mean?"

Lucy: "I know you have feelings for her. And I know you really want to be with her again"

Chelia blushed a bright crimson.

Lucy: "I knew it! You're so cute when you're all red"

Chelia: "W-Was it that obvious...?"

Lucy: "Definitely, I'm just surprised Wendy didn't realize it"

Chelia: "And now I may never be able to tell her how I feel"

Lucy: "You will win this. And once you do, go to her house, hand her a box of chocolates or some flowers, and say how much you love her!"

Chelia blushed more, but smiled.

Chelia: "Thank you, Lucy. If I win, you'll get 2 weeks off with full pay"

Lucy bowed.

Lucy: "Good luck, Queen Chelia"

A guard walked in, and even the guard looked nervous.

Guard: "It's time, your Highness"

Chelia: "Okay, I'm ready"

The guard took her out of the waiting area and into the arena. The whole place was packed with people, from rich to poor, from noble to slave. Everyone was here. Chelia wondered if Wendy was watching. She then saw someone walk into the arena wearing a red cloak. The person removed the cloak to reveal who it was. Once Chelia saw who it was, her legs started to tremble a little. She would have to fight Lyon.

Lyon: "Daughter, I'm surprised you actually showed up. I'm proud to know you value your honor"

Chelia did her best to stay calm.

Chelia: "Oh shut the hell up"

Lyon: "Remember where we are, everyone is watching. So I'd choose your words more carefully"

Chelia: "I said shut up!!"

Chelia used black wind to shoot herself forward. She engulfed her fist in black wind and threw a punch at Lyon. Lyon countered by putting his hand out and shooting ice shards at her. Chelia managed to avoid them and threw the punch. Her fist connected to Lyon's chest and sent him flying back. However he kept his footing.

Lyon: "Impressive, you're definitely putting up more of a fight than your Mother"

Chelia: "I SAID SHUT UP!! Sky God Boreas!!!"

Chelia swung her arms, creating two large waves of black wind, and shooting them towards Lyon.

Lyon: "Ice Make: Ice Falcon!"

Two giant falcons made of ice shot towards her, however the black wind blocked it.

Lyon: "How about you just give up, you won't win. You see, the colder it gets, the stronger I get!"

Chelia realized the whole stadium felt colder. She knew the longer this battle dragged out, the less her chances of winning were. Chelia took a deep breath and focused all of her mana into one attack. She then yelled at the top of her lungs.

Chelia: "SKY GOD HOWL!!!!!!!!!"

A giant blast of black wind shot out of her mouth and towards Lyon. Lyon put his hands together and held them towards the attack.

Lyon: "Ice Make: Ice Dragon!"

A giant shot of ice shot right out of his hands. On the front of the shot, was the head of a dragon. The two attacks collided, creating a giant tornado of ice. Thankfully, the stands were protected by a powerful magic barrier. When the dust finally cleared, Lyon was still untouched.

Chelia: "Damnit!"

Chelia has used all of her mana up in that attack. She had nothing left to fight with.

Lyon: "How disappointing, I thought you would at least be able to put a scratch on me. But what can I expect from you"

Lyon held his hands out again, ready to attack.

Lyon: "Surrender now, or be killed by this attack"

Chelia was almost crying. She was so scared. She wanted to surrender, but something kept her from doing so. One question repeated in her head. Would Wendy want you to surrender? No, she wouldn't. Even if it means dying here, you're dying protecting those you love.

Lyon: "Ice Make: Ice Dragon!!"

Another ice dragon shot towards her. Time slowed down and everything went silent. Chelia then closed her eyes and spoke to herself quietly.

Chelia: "If I die, I'm dying for my subjects, I'm dying for my kingdom, I'm dying for those I care about... I'm dying for Wendy"

???: "Don't think you can get off that easily"

Chelia looked up and saw someone standing in front of her. She was wearing a brown cloak with a hood. The person yelled.

???: "Sky Dragon Roar!!!"

A giant tornado of wind rushed to the ice dragon and destroyed it on impact. The resulting burst of wind made the person's hood come off. Chelia then saw her beautiful ocean blue hair. The girl turned around and Chelia almost bursted into tears.

Wendy: "Hey Strawberry, did you miss me?"
