My eyes fluttered open as I was awoken from my sleep. I looked up at Scott in confusion before remembering the night before.

Fuck I fell asleep-

I smiled nervously at him,
"Sorry for falling asleep- what time is it?" I ask. Scott looked at his pocket watch,
"It's three in the morning. Come on, you need to get out before the maid comes in!" He grabbed me by the hand and hoisted me out the bed and up onto my feet.
"Can I take a safer way please-? I only come at night because by then the vines are less frozen over, their gonna be all frosty and I'll fall!" I exclaimed. Scott hesitated before nodding
"Okay, but we'll have to be carful." He warned.
"Dont worry Prince, I'm the quietest peasant you'll ever meet!" I grinned and put my hands on my hips.
"Sure" Scott giggled,

"Right enough mucking about, let's get you outta here." He grabbed my hand gently and crept out the room.
I staggered out behind him and accidentally bumped into a vase.
"Jimmy!" Scott shrieked and quickly caught it,putting it right back in place.
"What?! It's not my fault this place is so dark!" I retorted. He gripped my hand tighter as he lead me down the dark castle hallway.

All the sudden we both froze as a door behind us opened. Scott covered my mouth and pushed me into the wall - pushing me next to a bookshelf
"Scott? What are you doing out of bed?" A voice asked. I peaked behind the bookshelf to see a man with long,platted purple hair and long black nails holding a candle.
"O-Oh uh I-I was j-just-" He leaned against the bookshelf,"Y-You know- hangin about-?" He smiled sheepishly. The man looked at him unimpressed and grabbed him by the shoulder,gently moving him out the way. I froze as I looked up at him - I saw a shocked expression flicker over his face.
"Oh" He cleared his throat, "Right- Theirs a window at the on the left corridor, bellow it on the ground is a pile of hay. If you go about it the right way you can escape through the window and land on the stack." He statted. I looked at him in surprise before nodding.
"T-Thanks Xornoth.." Scott smiled slightly.
"Your welcome, now hurry on before someone else wakes." Xornoth said.
"A-Alright-!" I hugged Scott before running down the hall as quietly as I could and making my way out the window.

I watched as the boy Scott was trying to hide ran down the hall. I was genuinely shocked- Scott never liked to talk to any of the princesses presented to him let alone anyone his age. I turned back to Scott and put a hand on his shoulder,
"Come now brother, you need some rest before you start the day." I say.

He nodded wearily as I walked him back to his room. Before he walked in I paused,
"Hey Scott? I need to ask you something.."
"O-Oh- yeah?" He looked at me.
"Was- was that boy presumably from your 'story' you found?" I ask in which my brother fell silent. I shake my head and slightly chuckle, "All I'm saying is, I'm glad you've made a friend." I smile warmly at him and ruffle his hair. Scott smiled back at me before returning to his room. I looked around before sneaking back off to my room to write a letter to Prince Joey - I'm meant to be marrying his sister but it seems I take more of an interest in him.
