The next day, Aiden went to Sage's house as usual, waiting for her outside her bedroom door.

However, when he was about to open the door, he noticed a small note on the handle, making him tilt his head in curiosity. Picking it up, he folded open, reading the words that were inside.

'Little change of plans! We're gonna go to the music room today. Meet me there, just follow the directions.'

Music room, huh? The thought of that brought a small smile to his face. Aiden had always been a big fan of music, ever since he was five and his father got him his first toy piano. Ever since then, making music has always been a huge part of his life.

But because of his current condition, he stopped music all together, and hadn't touched a single instrument in years.

He missed it, a lot.

Following the instructions that had been written at the bottom of the page, he finally reached a pair of two big white doors in the hallway. He hesitated a little, doubting whether or not he had reached the right place, but soon opened the door.

It was definitely the right place.

Instruments were spread all throughout the room; guitars, bases, pianos, violins, drums, even instruments he had never even seen before!

His eyes were wide with surprising and amazement, they seemed to all be well taken care of, so much that they seemed brand new. They were all beautiful, in great conditions, and looked so expensive as well.

Aiden started to walk around the room, eventually reaching a giant white piano that stood in the middle of the room. His hand gently passed over it, memories of his childlike self flooding his mind. It was as if he had stepped through time, that love for music coming back.

Looking around the room, an idea came to mind. There was no one around to see or hear him, right?

So maybe...

Maybe he could give it a try..

He sat down in front of the piano, gently passing a hand over the keys. He might be a little rusty, but a skill you truly love will never disappear from memory, no matter how long it could be.

In the silence of the room, Aiden began to press the keys in a pattern, and soon enough, a soft melody began to dance around the walls. A smile had spread across his face, a warmth suddenly hugging the inside of his chest, of his heart.

For once in a very long time, he was happy..

He felt.. secure..

Safe, even..

Nibbling on his lower lip, his eyes drifting clothes, his mind drifting away in the melody, the world around him slowly disappearing as he opened his mouth.

A few more seconds went by, and the music came to a gentle stop. He hadn't even realized that his hands were trembling, and that tears had been streaming down his face for the past minute. He never got emotional when it came to music, not in the past anyways, but it had been a long time.

He took a deep breath, though it was a little shaky, wiping away his tears. It had been the first time in a long time where he had let out his emotions, even if it was just a fraction of it.

"That was pretty good.."

He took in a sharp gasp, quickly turning as he stood up to see Noah standing by the door, arms crossed. With a hand on the piano to keep his balance, a rush of fear quickly filled his body.

"N-Noah! I- I was just- I w-wasn't- I didn't m-mean to- I-I was only-!"

"Calm down already."

"... s-sorry.."

"Question: Why are you in my music room?"

If he wasn't afraid before, he definitely was now, quickly taking out the note Sage had left him for proof. "Um, S-Sage told me to meet her here.. I got bored so I started playing a little.. I-I didn't know this was yours.."

"Well, I'd like to use it now. Do you mind?"

He shook his head, his head hanging low as he made his way to the door, beating himself up in his own brain.

Noah rolled his eyes before walking by the piano, his hand happening to brush against, and his eyes widened at the sudden feelings that zoomed throughout his body.

Sadness.

Loneliness.

Fear.

This had the aura of someone who had been suffering for a long time, someone who had been in true despair.

"Aiden, wait!"

But it was too late by then, Aiden had already left the room.
