"taehyung-ssi!"

upon hearing a call of his name, taehyung whipped his head towards the direction of where the voice came from to find another fellow teacher, jung hoseok, with a smile as bright as sun running to him. the alpha was a few years senior and he taught chemistry.

"yes, hoseok-ssi?" taehyung stopped in his track to smile back politely. he continued his walking as soon as hoseok leveled his step.

"let's go to this newly opened cafe just a few blocks from the school building for lunch," hoseok said radiantly. "don't worry, it's my treat!"

the offer was tempting but hoseok never meant it as a friendly kind of lunch but a date slash lunch kind of thing. it had been a few months since the alpha had started on advancing his flirting and courting to taehyung, the first few times were subtle but he had gone bolder as times passed. he was sure hoseok almost confessed to him the last time they ate together, and now it was just on the tip of the alpha's tongue, similar to a time bomb ready to explode anytime. taehyung really, really liked hoseok. he was a very good hyung with big heart and good personality, yet he was no more than a hyung to the omega. he already had someone he was tied with anyway.

"i'm sorry, hoseok-ssi," taehyung started apologetically. "but i need to grade some tests today."

hoseok's bright smile faltered a bit, taehyung felt bad. "ah, maybe next time, taehyung-ssi?"

"hoseok-ssi, i am well aware of your intention but i'm afraid i cannot accept your feelings," taehyung said seriously. "i'm already married as i've said many times before, i cannot do this it will be bad for both you and him."

"but taehyung, no one knows who is your mysterious husband. you never wear any rings, and there is no picture of your marriage either," hoseok said exasperatedly. "that's why i'll tell you again, taehyung-ssi, i won't stop until i truly believe that i have no chance in winning your heart, because i'm truly one alpha with very hard wills."

and just last time, taehyung still didn't know how to answer hoseok, he just stared back sadly as the alpha smiled brightly again.

"well then, taehyung-ssi," hoseok said, cheerful again. "i'll see you next time! have a good day!" then the alpha left taehyung alone in he middle of corridor with heavy heart and guilt.

"sorry i can't help you with your stuff, gukkie."

"no it's fine, babe," jeongguk said, his phone clamped between his left ear and his left shoulder as he lifted a box filled with books and some of his personal belongings to be put at his new table in the teacher room. "there's no way i can't do this alone with all these muscles."

a melodious giggle was heard from the other side of the call, pulling a bunny smile on jeongguk's face as he cherished the happiness that radiated from his mate's voice.

"you surely put your muscles in good use. ah, i really want to finish grading soon so i can watch you work out now," taehyung whined, much to jeongguk's amusement.

"baby, don't say that when we're at work or i might run to your class right now," jeongguk said darkly.

"stooop, just finish soon so you won't be late to your first class, guk. bet the whole students are excited to meet you."

"bah, there's nothing to be more excited than having lunch with the most beautiful omega in this school."

"shut up! ugh, i gotta go, you're distracting me, bye, gukkie!"

jeongguk laughed endearingly. "you're the one who called me first. let's have lunch on the rooftop later, baby, bye~" and he ended the call with a pout as he arrived at his table.

too busy arranging his table, jeongguk didn't notice another presence inside the room watching every movement of the alpha with undivided attention. taehyung had reminded him of their deal on hiding their relationship and forbid him to bring their selfies to be put on his desk. jeongguk was pissed at first so he opted not to bring any photos instead because each one has taehyung in it. a few minutes later once he had almost finished, a cough resounding the room had caught his attention.

jeongguk then turned around only to see a very beautiful woman sitting on a desk a few meters away from his own. the woman was a beta and she was a new face so jeongguk bowed his head politely in greeting. "my name is jeon jeongguk and i'm the new p.e. teacher, pleasures to meet you."

the woman smiled gracefully and bowed back. "pleasures to meet you, too, jeongguk-ssi. i'm shon wendy. i teach math." little did jeongguk know about the glints inside the stare the woman had on him.

"ah, i see," jeongguk said. "well, wendy-ssi, it's time for my first class, excuse me," bringing a volley ball with him, jeongguk bowed once more as he advanced towards the exit before a hand stopped him.

"let's go together, jeongguk-ssi," wendy said. "my first class is in the same direction as the gym hall. that way i can also show you the way as you're new here."

she didn't wait for jeongguk's reply as she already walked ahead a few steps. not wanting to miss out the opportunity, jeongguk wordlessly followed her.

"jin hyung packed joon hyung and i lunch boxes," taehyung said excitedly, once he and jeongguk had seated themselves on a secluded bench on the rooftop. "this one he told me to share with you so he made extra." there were indeed two delicious bento lunch boxes taehyung brought with him.

the couple immediately unwrapped their lunch and ate the food while moaning with the taste.

"jin hyung is the best, tell him that," jeongguk said, uncaring with his full mouth. " he should've worked as the nutritionist in this school's canteen instead writing blogs and books."

"who knows he would finally accept joon hyung's proposal someday, " taehyung said, leaning heavily on his husband's broad shoulder.

fortunately, the rooftop was deserted so they could have their privacy away from any prying eyes.

"gukkie, tell me how your first day went," taehyung adorably mumbled with mouth still full, wide puppy eyes staring up at his husband.

"well, it went...  smoothly, i guess?" jeongguk said, scrunching his nose like a bunny. "the students were okay, but the girls were so noisy, though. they wouldn't focus on what i taught them so jimin-ssi handed down and reprimanded them. your best friend seems like a great guy, i think we'd be good friends."

"yes! jiminie is the best! i know right," taehyung grinned widely as jeongguk bopped his nose.

"oh, and i met this math teacher--i think her name was, um, wendy?--she was the one to show me the gym room."

"ah, wendy noona is a math teacher here," taehyung said, giggling. "how very kind of her to do that. she's usually very cold and frightening that every students call her an evil."

"ah, yeah, i think i know what you're talking about," jeongguk nodded understandingly.

"she looks unapproachable and cold but noona actually has a warm heart and is very kind," taehyung cheerfully said. "when i first worked here, she didn't acknowledge me for a whole week! but one day, i was holding many stack of books ascending the stairs. it was so heavy, i almost fell but noona held me from behind and helped me carry my books. she didn't show much expressions but i know for sure she is a cool person!"

looking at the omega so enthusiastic and pure talking about someone's kindness filled jeongguk's chest with warmth and pride. his omega had always been so humble and kind, looking at people for their kindness, never judging by one's appearance. jeongguk just wanted to smooch the hell out of his mate in front of everyone to tell the world who the omega belonged to. taehyung would be blushing so hard if he were to do that, though, given by how shy the omega was. perhaps this was one of the reason taehyung wanted to hide their relationship, jeongguk thought.

jeongguk was taehyung's first love and so taehyung was jeongguk's. the elder never had any relationship or love interests before so when it came to taehyung and jeongguk's relationship, taehyung had always been the shy one that ran away or took a step back with jeongguk being the one chasing. their relationship was very private, either, with only family and close friends knowing. if taehyung wasn't ready to show off everyone their marriage, then jeongguk, the whipped alpha he was, would surely follow him.

but jeongguk was still one impatient man. so when the time came, he promised himself to show as much pda as he could to everyone as a little punishment for his shy, little baby.
