Chapter 17(Unedited)

I guess my heartbeat has never been so fast unlike now when I felt like it will come out of my chest. The thumping of my heart was accompanied by the shaking of my leg and sweating of my face.

The take off made adrenaline rush through my body but somehow I managed to survive it without having a panic attack. It has been already 5 minutes since we are flying. Finally, I found the courage the open my eyes and the sight in front of me left me speechless.

The city looked so beautiful from above.

"Do you like what you're seeing?" Aaron asked me with a smile.

"Yes! The view is so mesmerizing." I smiled as I watched us flying above the sea.

"I knew that you will love it and that's why I asked you to come along with me. Are you not scared of the heights now?"

"I guess it's not that bad as I had imagined. I mean the beauty of the city is making me forget about my fears." I smiled.

"Indeed. Enjoy it."

The journey was for more than an hour but I don't regret it at all because I really loved the view and I will always be thankful to Aaron who made me experience this.

"How are you feeling now?"

"What do you mean?" I looked at Aaron in confusion.

"You are scared of heights so I thought that you might me having some sickness or feeling some kind of nausea?"

I shook my head, "No, I am completely fine."

Aaron smiled, "That's great. You should now go and sleep because tomorrow is going to be a big day."

"A big day? What will happen tomorrow?" I laughed because I was having fun here and I was enjoying every day of my life.

"I will tell you about everything." Aaron's playful mood soon changed into serious one.

"What?" My smile faded and my heart started thumping fast again.

"Yes, tomorrow I will answer all of your questions because I don't want to hide anything from you anymore. I want you to know everything and accept me after knowing the truth." He sighed.

"Accept you? What are you—" I started to ask when Aaron interrupted me.

"Amelia, I know that you may not like what you hear tomorrow or you may not believe me either but trust me, whatever I have done and whatever I will do in the future, I am compelled to do so."

"Aaron, why are you leaving this in such suspense, you can tell it to me now, why wait till tomorrow?" I asked in frustration but I was honestly done with all the suspense.

"Amelia, please just one more day. I need some time to gather up the courage to tell the truth. Moreover, before telling you the truth, I need to attend an important meeting with a client so I can't tell anything to you now." He shrugged.

"Fine, but I hope that you will not delay this topic anymore. I will be eagerly waiting for tomorrow to hear the truth."

Aaron gave me a sad smile, "You will get to know it tomorrow, Amelia. Goodnight."

"Goodnight, Aaron." I gave him a small smile before heading upstairs to my room.

I removed my makeup and wore my comfy pajamas and sat by the window to watch the waves at the sea. The waves looked so calm at the moment but once they got fierce, they can harm anyone. You cannot understand people by just looking at them and knowing them for just few days or by staying with them, spending with them for few days.

Sometimes, it also takes year to understand someone and get to know about his past. Everyone has secrets and everyone has a past. My past was something I could never reveal to Aaron or anyone. Not even, Kylie. My dark past was something which I could prefer to hide all throughout my life if that's possible.

But Aaron? This guy was something else. He was making me feel like everything was not as bad as it looked like. Maybe I was over thinking and even if I assume that something bad is going to happen, it won't be that bad. I mean, what could happen at worst?
