“It will be a one on one battle, the winner will be declared once the opponent has no Pokemon left to battle.”

It was my turn for the gym badge and I'm sure to win in my first try like Jordy and Jack.

Jordy used Fearow while Jack used Mankey.

Their matches was very interesting. Mankey using seismic toss was amazing, which helped them win the match.

Fearow on the other hand was much more in a disadvantage because of the type. This didn't stop Fearow from learning Assurance, but that move didn't help so drill run was the best option to use as it is a part ground type move.

This isn't about Jordy or Jack it is my turn and my spotlight now I'm going to use Charmander.

“Charmander, time for a battle.” I said.

“Raichu battle time.” Said Lt Surge.

“You may have the first attack.” Demanded Lt Surge.

Okay don't mind if I do “Charmander use ember.”

What a hit it was but wasn't much damage to Raichu.

Raichu began charging up his thunder punch, so I needed to slow it down by getting Charmander to use tackle.

Tackle did nothing, Raichu used thunder punch taking out my Charmander making us lose the match.

“What? No! I can't have lost.” I said out loudly.

“Charmander is unable to battle the winner is the gym leader Lt Surge.”

I was disappointed and so was Charmander, we really wanted to win that badge. I guess nothing works out the way it is supposed to.

We left the gym to head to the Pokemon centre to grab lunch and to heal up Charmander.

“Hey Kieran don't you worry you will get that badge in no time.” Said Jordy.

“Easy for you to say, you guys done it in your first try. I thought battling Misty was going to be hard but Lt Surge is much tougher.” I said.

Jordy gave me a hug and our eyes met realizing what was happening we stopped.

I just finished my food, “Okay guys I will see you in half and hour. I'm going to train up my Pokemon's because this I need to be stronger. “

I went to battle field behind the Pokemon centre and proceed to start my training sending out of my Pokemon.

A voice was heard as I was getting my Charmander ready for battling with my other Pokemon's.

“Want to have a battle?” A mystery voice said.

I turned around and saw a grown man standing there in all blacked out clothing. I knew who he was, I smiled and nodded.

“Okay let's have a double battle using four Pokemon each side. You got that little man.” Said the mystery person.

“I was little man four years ago. I'm older now and wiser to kick your butt.” I said.

We both smiled.

“Charmander. Pidgey. I want you two to battle first then I will use Ponyta and Golduck after.”

“Smart choice but now meet my Pokemon's. Growlithe and Inkay come on out.”

I got my pokedex out to register both Pokemon.

“Growlithe, the fire-type Pokemon. Growlithe is a Puppy Pokémon of pleasant demeanour and great diligence. It drives enemies away with barks and bites.”

“Pokemon not detected.”

“Wait what you mean Pokemon not detected?” I asked.

“Inkay is from another region.”

That explains why I can't tap in Inkay's data into the Pokedex.

“Are we battling or are we chatting?”

“Still as demanding as always.”

“Charmander use ember on Inkay.” I demanded.

“Inkay dodge then use psybeam.”

It was a clean hit.

He was strong but I'm stronger. “Okay Charmander use ember once more. Pidgey...”

Pidgey was learning a new move in wing attack. That's awesome.

“Okay Pidgey use wing attack.”

Both was a clean hit on Inkay, knocking him out leaving Growlithe the last Pokemon standing.

I substituted Pidgey for Golduck to give up an upper advantage.

“Okay Carnivine you're next. (Carnivine bit onto the guys.) No time for that now go and battle my nephew.”

“Okay let's not waste any more time on this battle uncle James. Charmander use ember and then tackle on Carnivine. Golduck use water gun followed by hydro pump on Growlithe.” I shouted which could be heard in the Pokemon centre.

I was a success knocking out both Pokemon. Leaving uncle James with one Pokemon left.

“Okay you beat me say you a lot stronger than your parents I must say.” Said James.

“Thanks.” I said.

“Hey! Kieran!” I heard Jordy's voice in the distance as she was running towards me. My surrounds was different it was glowing around Jordy as she was running towards me, it was like we are in a movie with effects.

Jordy ran into my arms giving me a big hug.

“That battle was amazing no doubt you will beat the gym leader in two days time.” Jordy said.

“Yeah I know I will beat the gym leader. Hey uncle James you want to watch me beat the gym leader in two days time?” I asked.

“Sure. Don't tell your mother you know she hates me for what I did.” Said James.

“Can you blame her for what you and Jess was up to?” I asked.

“I guess not.” Said James.

Jordy went back inside the Pokemon centre as I stopped by James, who was looking at Jordy with a passion.

"You like her don't you?" He asked.
