I woke up after I heard a knock at the door, I get out of the bed to answer it. It was Jordy.

“Hey.” She said as she walked into my room giving me a kiss on the cheek. She made her way to my bed to sit down.

“Hey.” I said. I was confused as I was still trying to wake up.

“Your dad called me after he couldn't get through to you. He said it was urgent, and he wants you to go home.” She explained.

I got dressed and called my dad.

“Hey dad, Jordy said you wanted me home because it is urgent.” I said.

“Yes, your mother has given birth to a baby girl this morning. We need you to come home and help around while I'm working. I'm trying to get the boss to let me take some time off but this project will make us rich.” He explained.

“Mum was pregnant. Why didn't I know?” I asked.

“Kieran, your mother had complications. So it was in our best interest not to tell anyone as we thought it was a good idea to do so. Kieran, can you please come home immediately.” Dad said.

“Yeah, I will just get my stuff together and be heading back home by tonight.” I said.

“Okay, thank you son.” Dad said.

I nodded and smile once the call cut off.

I go back to my room and start packing up.

'Clothes check, map check, journal and pen check, pokedex check, pokeballs check, toiletry bag check and gym badge case check. I think that is everything.' I said to myself as I put everything in my backpack before heading out to find my friends to tell them the news.

I saw Jack and Lois in the distance with Nurse Joy as they were talking about breeding.

“Hey Jack. Lois. Have you seen Jordy?” I asked.

“She left 10 minutes ago to go to the next town. She said she does not want to waste no more time and that she wanted to get the next gym badge before Friday.” Lois said.

I was upset.

“Why what's wrong?” Asked Jack.

“I wanted to talk to you all, I need to leave to go back home.” I said.

“What!? Why?” They both asked me.

“My mum just gave birth to a baby girl and I need to be there for the both of them as my dad is still working on his project.” I explained to them.

“Congratulations man I didn't know, you better get going. We are an hour or two away from home.” Jack said.

I gave them both a hug and asked them once they see Jordy let her know why I won't be there as I will be with family for couple off weeks.
