"Hello my name is Kieran, I want to become a Pokemon master just like Ash Ketchum."

It's been 18 weeks now, I am yet to get the thunder badge from Lt Surge. My battle is tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it. When I got to my room at the Pokemon centre, I could hear crying from Jordy's room.

Knocking on her door.

“Come in.” She said.

I walk into her room, looking straight into her eyes.

“Jordy what's wrong?” I asked.

“My mum and dad have spilt up.” She said.

I walked over to her and comfort her by giving a hug, our eyes was still meeting with each other.

It was the next day, I was in Jordy's bed with her resting on my arm.

'Did something happened, I can't remember' I said. I tried to remove my arm without waking Jordy up. She woke up as soon as I moved off the bed.

“Hey.” She said as she was still trying to wake up more.

“Hey.” I said, with a smile.

“Thanks for being a friend last night, also thanks for letting me sleep in your arms.” She said.#

“Your welcome, so nothing happened last night?” I asked.

“No.” She said while having a little giggle, I was feeling embarrassed.

I left Jordy's room to go to my room, I did my usual routine.

It took me about 10 minutes to get ready.

I went downstairs to an energetic Lois, she was telling me about a fishing competition.

“Kieran, look there is a fishing competition today. Please let's do this before your gym battle later?” She asked.

“Yeah why not? What's the prize? Do you keep the Pokemon's you catch?” I asked.

“The prize is an egg and it's your choice if you want to catch the Pokemon.” She explained.

“Okay, well what are we waiting for?” I said.

Me and Lois met up with the rest of the gang to make our way to the fishing competition.

“Welcome to the annual fishing competition. This year the winner with the most weight-in will win the chosen egg from the day care lady. Any Pokemon's that you catch will not be added to the total, So let the fishing begin.” Said the presenter.

I settled next to Jordy's fishing platform.

“Good luck.” I said to her.

She just smiled at me, as I was about to cast out my rod I heard a voice it was my uncle James. He was speaking to the gym leader Lt Surge, I put my rod on the rest and walked over to them.

“Hey uncle James, Lt Surge.” I said.

“Hey Kieran, you're fishing for the competition(I nodded). That's great, so are you hoping to get a new Pokemon today? How is training going for Charmander?” Asked James.

“Training is going great and I know I will beat you Lt Surge.(Looking into his eyes.)” I said.

“I look forward to our battle.” He said.

I head back to my platform to see that Jack had caught two, while both Jordy and Lois had four. I was yet to catch one.

It has been an hour since the competition has started, I have caught nothing while Jordy is in the lead with Lois. Jack has 3 Pokemon's.

Lois had a battle with a Pokemon called Goldeen, a Pokemon she was happy to catch.

Suddenly my rod started losing line and I had a Pokemon, I kept trying to reel it in and it was becoming more and more hard to reel it in.

After 10 minutes of non-stop reeling, I managed to land in the Pokemon.

I got my pokedex out and point it at the Pokemon “Tentacruel, a Jellyfish Pokemon. An evolved form of the Tentacool. Its numerous tentacles serve as a powerful weapon. It is known as “The Gangster of the Sea.”

I decided to I wanted to catch, so I sent out Pidgey to battle this Pokemon.

Pidgey used wing attack on the Pokemon but the Tentacruel used it tentacles to grab Pidgey.  

“Oh no. Pidgey use sand attack.” I said.

Pidgey managed to get free from the tentacles, I told Pidgey to keep using tackle and wing attack as fast as possible.

I sent out Charmander to help out using ember as the only move in the battle.

I threw one pokeball at the Pokemon, catching it within seconds.

“The competition is now finished.” The presenter said.

'Just made it in time.' I said to myself.

The weight-in are in:

Jordy: 6 Pokemon's — Five Magikarps and one Horsea — 58KG. 

Lois: 8 Pokemon's — Four Magikarp's, two Horseas, and one Shellder — 60KG.

Jack: 3 Pokemons — Two Shellders and one Horsea — 16KG.

Kieran: 0 Pokemons — 0KG.

Unknown person: 2 Pokemons — Two Magikarps — 20KG.

Unknown person: 4 Pokemons — Two Horseas, one Shellder and one Magikarp — 30KG.

“The winner of the fishing competition is Lois. Well done to you.” Said the presenter

“Well done dear, here is your egg. (Handing the egg to Lois, who is celebrating with all her Pokemon's.)” said the day care lady.

We head back to the Pokemon Centre to grab some lunch and to heal up my Pidgey.

I got my pokedex out to look at my newest addition move set.

Tentacruel:

 Poison Sting

Acid

Water Pulse

Hydro Pump

Sludge Wave

Toxic Spikes

Poison Jab

Surf

I was very impressed with the move set. I finished my lunch and made my way to the gym.

“Hope you are ready for our battle Kieran? (Sending out his Pokemon.)” Lt Surge asked.

I nodded and sent out my Charmander.

“The battle will end once your Pokemon is unable to battle leaving the last one standing as the winner.”

I know the battle is going to be tense.

Jack, Jordy, James and Lois was watching the battle.

Charmander used ember followed by tackle as the first attack of the battle.

Raichu then used thunderbolt.

Lt Surge got his Raichu to use thunder punch but lucky my Charmander moved out of the way and used ember in the face of Raichu.

The battle wasn't over just yet, the battle was just beginning.

“I see a lot of difference in your battle.” Said Lt Surge.

“Yeah, let's finish this once and for all. Charmander use ember.” I said.

“Raichu is unable to battle, the winner is Kieran and Charmander from England City.”

We all walked outside of the gym to see the light sunset.

“Here's the Thunder Gym Badge, that battle was truly electrifying.” Said Lt Surge.

Lt Surge walked inside.

We were approached by a fellow trainer.

“That battle was amazing, my name is Scotty by the way.” He said.

“Thanks Scotty, my name is Kieran and I want to become a Pokemon master.” I explained.

“Well I hope you do.” He said as he was walking away.

“That was truly a good battle Kieran. I need to go but I will soon see you again, my boy I love you and I hope you become the top trainer that your destine to be.” Said James.

“I will and love you too(I hugged him).” I said.

James walks into the sunset leaving everyone watched him go.

Last night at the Pokemon Centre before heading to the next gym battle in Celadon City.

I go to my room to sleep as I was very tired.

Lois:

I was in my room before I heard a knock at my door.

It was Jack, I grabbed and pulled him into my room before kissing him.

“Boss, I met our little problem today.” Said an unknown person.

“Well Scotty you need to befriend him and do as planned. No-one mess with Team Rix.” Said the boss.

“Yes boss (Smiling).” Said Scotty.
