When I am sad and disheartened,

I sit in my balcony,

Only me and me alone,

Yet the universe to give me company.

Seeing the vast sky I sit and think,

Is it better to just sit and blink?

And mull over the problems so small,

When you can have it all?

All alone with no one else

I sit alone with the stars,

Asking, why can't everybody live happily,

Instead of quarreling and fighting wars?

They blink in turn and shine brightly,

As if replying the answer to me,

" Problems are necessary in life,

That is life's alchemy.

So open your heart and leave it free,

This is the way it has to be,

Leave alone the world and come to us,

Come and explore the universe!

Then you will see, how vast the universe is,

Yet you mull over things so small,

And waste that precious moment,

Which has now become history for all.

So don't worry about your problems,

You will find a way to get through,

And if you are sad and angry,

Forgive him who did that to you."

Calm, I stand up as to say,

Thank you for the things from you I learn,

They are motionless and cannot speak,

Yet they reveal the secrets hidden.

Then I come back to the world of mine,

Where ego, hatred and anger dwell.

Where there is no day without problems.

And everybody has a tale to tell.

I leave my anger and pluck up the courage,

To go and face a new challenge,

And forgive and forget what has happened,

Because forgiveness is sweeter than revenge.

Then sad again to the stars I cry,

And the stars answer with a sigh,

Come child, come we will explain,

What we did yet again!
