red skies
Red skies in the early morning -
a sailor's warning to those at sea
But if at night, the red burns bright,
then delighted the shepherds will be
Red skies over a rampant inferno
Vivid flames obscured by smoke
Burnt orange and burning bodies
Maroon fumes on which you choke
Red skies commence at sunrise
Candyfloss clouds and dreams
Then the sun dips below the hemisphere -
A crimson symphony
Red skies cast by the Goddess
as she crosses Helios
A warm and hazy painting
A hue of coral stretched across
Red skies herald our Ending
Our planet swamped by a greater globe
Scarlet stars and bloody chaos;
swirling colours in Death's robe
