Storytime...
When I look her in the eyes,
I see the lies
She tried to hide
In trying to save her pride
Nearly every second, she fights
Especially through the dark and lonely nights
Nearly every morning, she wakes with a smile
Even though, her everyday is a trial
She goes to school
People call her things like: bitch, slut, whore, and fool
She pretends it has no affect
But it hurts her, I bet
It doesn't stop there,
She goes home after a day, almost too hard to bear
Her parents are fighting
Her demons are biting
She gets barely any sleep
And she knows she can never say a peep
Until she does
It creates quite a buzz
"The quiet girl has a life"
Once she was out of sight, she picked up a knife
Intending to end it all
But I was there, ready to catch her fall
As I looked again into her eyes
I didn't see demons or lies
I saw her vulnerability
And all I wanted was to give her tranquility
The road to recovery
Is as rough as the sea
It doesn't matter what happens, because I'm here
You will get through this, my dear
As the seasons changed
You didn't want to be hanged
You actually wanted to succeed
In something other than that terrible deed

Okay, so I don't normally talk in this poetry book, but I'd like to say something to you all.
First of all, thanks for taking time to read this; I appreciate it!
Second of all, please don't copy my poems. They all are very dear to my heart and I wouldn't want someone else to take credit for my heart's words.
Uhm, thanks again for reading this!
PS. this was written in a guy's POV...
