She would admire the green youth sprout from the earth
As they battled for sunlight like warriors for land
Their roots twisting through the soft soil
She would give them water hoping to calm them

The flooding would make them more power hungry
She would watch them curiously as their limbs flailed
Killing for their cravings and desires that stood before them
No matter how brutal they were she loved them all

She couldn’t help laughing at the small creatures
The way they charged towards power
After a tall royal pansy that held control over them
She was amused by the furious children beneath her

Knowing that this war needed to end sometime and soon
She took action to stop the greedy green children
So she plucked them apart and far from their roots
Not noticing the last survivor that reached the royal power
