In between the memories,
Forgotten,
And old,
There sits a girl,
With an aching soul.

She lives with kindness,
Loves with blindness,
Yet no one helps to soothe,
The burning fire in her heart.

No one can see,
The tears that she sheds,
For the little girl of old,
That is the one thing she dreads.
To have people see her weakness,
To have people call names,
To have no friends at all,
To her,
That would be shame.
