the town is silent
a plea so loud
yet so quiet.

A bland world
of black and white.
Where do they go
in such a fright?

A town destroyed
memories forgotten;
smoke and dust,
the air, thick as cotton.

Watch your step.
For you may fall,
a ceiling tile
that was once held tall.

Are you frightened?
Do they care?
Will you scream?
Your eyes only stare.
