So I wrote this a while ago and never published it.  It's not very good but I've been neglecting this book so I figured I'd just put it up.  I hope it's not too terrible.

Then why are we here
With hate in our veins?

If it is true
All that you claim
Then why am I here
Struggling to see the same?

If it is true
the smile of the night
Then why am I here
Tears left and right?

If it is true
Your love of human life
Then why am I here
Holding your baby tight?

If it is true
the kept peace of this world
then why do I see
the blood of children stain our streets?

if it is true
that our fate lies in our hands
than why am I told
that I can't make choices in my life

If it is true
That the world is forgiving
Then why are we born with pain in our veins
Why is this the world I live in?
