2 Weeks Later

-

It's been two weeks since Jeno and Jaemin saved me, and I'm feeling a lot better. I still have to wear the bandage wraps around my chest, but the bites on my neck are healing up nicely.

It's all thanks to Jeno and Jaemin. Without them, I would've definitely been dead right now. They did everything the best way that they could, and they did so well, especially with their limited experience with these kinds of things.

I'm so happy, and proud, to call them my best friends.

But anyway, I made it clear to the two of them that for the time being, I can't, and won't, go out at night. Thankfully, they complied.

Of course, that was all fine and dandy with Jeno, but it was a bit of an issue for Jaemin since he's a vampire. But we can work around that.

Since the sun rays harm him, he can wear stuff like long pants, jackets, and hats. That way, he won't draw that much attention to himself if he has to constantly shapeshift into a cat all the time.

So he agreed to that.

Today, I have to go back to the convenience store for more groceries. And more importantly, more of the Cherry Bomb vape pens.

Luckily for Jaemin, it's overcast today so he gets to wear his normal shorts and shirts. But, we had to bring two umbrellas, just in case it rains while we're out.

After a while, we finally made it to the store, and were greeted by a person all too familiar to me.

"Welcome back Renjun~"

"Hi Mark"

I gave him a small smile, as the three of us entered.

"I've never seen you two before. You new around here?"

Jeno and Jaemin just nodded.

"They're my best friends, Jeno and Jaemin"

I admitted.

"Wahhh, really?! Golly, they earned the friendship title before me?! What luck!"

I stopped in my tracks when he said that.

"You...want to be my friend? Why??"

"Why not~? You seem like a really nice guy~"

I couldn't hide the small smile that crept its way onto my face, and I could see Jeno and Jaemin smiling at me.

"So, can I~?"

Mark asked with great anticipation.

"...I don't see why not"

I answered, picking up a grocery basket.

I could hear his little celebratory cheers as I walked away, to help Jeno and Jaemin find the groceries that we needed.

15 Minutes Later

-

"Will that be all?"

"I think it should be. Are there any new flavors besides Cherry Bomb yet?"

"Indeed there is~. Hang on one sec..."

Mark rummaged through one of the boxes of supplies that got shipped to the store, and pulled out a new box. 

He pulled out one for me and one for himself.

"This flavor is called "Boom". I hope it's good. I haven't even tried it yet. So just in case you don't like it, here's a Cherry Bomb to go with it~"

He rang them up for me, and I paid the total no problem.

As soon as he handed me the change and groceries, he left from behind the counter with his keys.

"You're leaving so soon?"

"Yeah. I heard that there's a storm coming through. I don't want to get caught in it"

"I see. We better hurry home too then"

Jeno and Jaemin nodded, and quickly skipped out of the shop.

Mark bid his goodbyes to us after he locked up the shop, and dashed away to his home.

The three of us then dashed home as well, after hearing thunder rumbling in the distance. We made it home just in time, and the rain began to fall as soon as we entered the house.

"...Now what?"

Jaemin questioned.

I set the groceries down, and got the things I needed to make dinner.

"You guys go ahead and wash up while I make dinner. It'll be done soon, then we can chill and find something to do until this storm blows over"

The two of them played Rock Paper Scissors to decide who'd go in first.

Jeno ended up losing, but Jaemin offered to clean him while he just sat in the bath. Jeno was so pleased with that offer that he practically ran to the bathroom.

I chuckled softly, and started making dinner.

1 Hour Later

-

"Dinner's ready!"

I yelled from the kitchen, and Jeno and Jaemin both came running.

They both sat themselves at the table, and I could see just how excited they were, from Jeno's wagging tail and Jaemin's shimmering eyes.

I got two plates and utensils for each of them, and placed their food right in front of them.

They seemed confused as to what it was, since I'd never made it for them before.

"What...is this???"

Jeno asked, tail still swaying vigorously.

"Shrimp Fried Rice"

I answered.

"Really?!?!"

Jaemin shrieked, and immediately took a bite out of his food.

His face immediately lit up and he squealed whilst chewing. Jeno looked surprised and decided to try some for himself, then his face lit up too.

They both began to stuff their faces at top speed, making me smile a little.

"I'm gonna go wash up real quick"

"Okie~~~"

They both cheered as I left.

When I got back, both Jeno and Jaemin had finished eating everything on their plates. Not only that, they were already sleeping on the couch.

Jeno was laying longways across the couch, and Jaemin was laying on top of him, with Jeno's arm wrapped around him.

I ate something quickly before turning everything off around the house. I woke the two of them up for a brief moment, to help them get in bed with me.

Both of them snuggled up to my chest, and I began petting their heads so they could go back to sleep.

"...Dinner was good hyung~"

"...Really good~"

They both sleepily stated, before dozing off again.

I continued petting their heads and closed my eyes, so that I would soon fall asleep myself.

"...I'm glad to hear that"
