I met Jaemin in the most ridiculous way possible.

"Hyuuung. I wanna go out for a waaalk!"

"But won't people notice your ears and tail?"

"Nope!"

He quickly tucked his tail in his pants, and put the hood over his head from the hoodie I gave him.

"Well alright then. Let's go"

"Yay!"

Jeno really enjoys being outside during the day. And he most definitely loves flowers and grass.

We eventually came across an ice cream truck by a park, and Jeno begged me to buy him some. Of course, I complied. He wouldn't stop giving me puppy eyes if I didn't.

We sat down on a bench and enjoyed our ice cream, and just talked with each other. He's really cute, especially for a werewolf. I always thought that werewolves were vicious and hostile, but Jeno is the complete opposite.

He's very tenderhearted and extremely docile. He told me that when we first met, the only reason that he growled at me was so that he could get my attention. And when I started backing up closer to the bear trap, he had no choice but to charge at me, to get me out of the way.

He really is something special. Instead of seeing him as a werewolf, I see him more as half-human, half-puppy. He may have human-like features, but he has the personality and mindset of a puppy.

On top of that, he's way too innocent to be considered a threat. Seriously, when we were passing by a pond on our way home, he got down on his knees and stuck his face inches away from the water. It was a pond of Koi fish, and one of the fish stuck its head out of the water. The fish booped his nose, and in return, Jeno licked it, exactly like how a puppy gives kisses.

He came back to me after that, and we continued to walk home. However, we suddenly heard faint meows coming from behind us. We ignored it, but the sound just kept getting closer and louder.

We quickly turned around to look behind us, but nothing was there. We turned to start walking again, but a black cat was suddenly blocking the way. It kinda scared Jeno a little bit, since it appeared out of nowhere.

It was looking right up at us, but unlike other cats, it had red eyes.

"Oh. It's cute"

I bent down to pet it, and it started purring as soon as I touched it.

"Cute, but odd"

"What do you mean Jeno?"

"How many cats do you see that have red eyes? You don't find that to be the slightest bit odd??"

"Not really. It's different, and I like different. You're different too after all, and I don't mind it"

"...Fair enough"

I picked up the cat, and gladly carried it home with us.

Hours Later
Midnight

I woke up in the middle of the night, and I noticed that something was off.

Before I went to sleep, I laid the cat next to me on my bed. It went to sleep right next me, but now it's gone.

"Oh? You're awake?"

I realized there was someone hovering above me, after I heard an unfamiliar voice.

It was a boy, who had rather pale skin, and had the same red eyes as the cat.

"You're the cat from before, aren't you?"

"Correct. You're not surprised??"

"Not really. I knew that you were different from the start. So, what are you?"

"I'll show you"

The boy's mouth slowly opened, and revealed two long, pointed fangs on either side of his mouth.

He held me down by my head and my legs, and slowly proceeded to move towards my exposed neck.

He was a vampire. That much was now clearly obvious.

His fangs grazed my neck, but before he could sink them into my flesh, he was tackled to the ground, freeing me from his grip.

It was Jeno that tackled him.

The boy pushed Jeno off of him, and hissed in annoyance.

"Are you alright hyung?? Did he bite you??"

"I'm fine Jeno. And no, he didn't bite me. Thank you"

He smiled knowing that I was ok.

The boy saw that he was preoccupied by me, and took that opportunity to tackle him down the stairs.

I heard Jeno groan when they reached the bottom, and quickly got out of bed to help him.

When I got downstairs, the boy had pinned Jeno down. He held his hands above his head, and pinned his legs down so that he couldn't move.

He slowly proceeded to move towards his neck too, until I stopped him.

"Hold on a second!"

"What?! I'm in the middle of something here!!"

The boy snapped, seeming very agitated.

"You're a vampire. So you'll take the the blood of a human or an animal, right?"

"Sure? Why?"

"I have some uncooked meat in the kitchen that still has the blood on it. That is, if you want it"

"You're seriously trying to bribe him?!"

Jeno shrieked in annoyance.

"Silence you dog!"

The boy hissed at Jeno.

"Show me to the meat, human"

15 Minutes Later

-

The boy calmed down as soon as I gave him the uncooked steak.

He especially liked how the blood was cold, seeing as he had never tasted cold blood before.

Jeno wasn't too pleased that I gave away his steak though. But I promised him that I'd buy him a new one.

"So, what's your name anyway?"

I asked while he was sucking up the last of the blood.

"Jaemin... Na Jaemin"

"So, Jaemin, why did you decide to attack me and my friend Jeno?"

"I didn't want to, especially since you're the only human who's ever taken me in. Usually, humans would throw things at me, or just run away in fear. They don't treat black cats with red eyes too kindly"

"Told you"

Jeno scoffed to himself.

"I was so happy that you took me in, and I wanted to show you my gratitude, but I was too consumed by hunger for blood. When I saw you sleeping, I figured that I could take advantage of your vulnerability. But you suddenly woke up, and your werewolf friend attacked me. I had never tasted werewolf blood before, so I got even more consumed by my hunger and attacked him... I wasn't always a vampire, but ever since I became one when I was little, I've never been able to control myself after my parents kicked me out. I didn't mean to cause either of you any harm. I'm sorry..."

He held his head down in utter shame.

It was then that I noticed that his skin wasn't as pale as before, and instead of red, his eyes were a normal shade of dark brown.

His hunger must've caused him to go full-blown vampire.

In a way, to me, he's kind of like Jeno. He's an outcast to the world, with no true friends or family, just like Jeno once was. His parents abandoned him after he got turned, just like Jeno.

And he somehow wound up into my life, just like Jeno. I guess there's only one thing to do then.

"Jaemin, you're welcome to stay here with us if you want"

"What?!"

They both exclaimed in pure shock.

"I go to the store somewhat often, so you'll never have to worry about being hungry. And there's another extra room, so you'll have a place to sleep"

"...I would be more than glad to accept your offer, and I'd be truly grateful. But..."

He warily looked over at Jeno.

"Vampires and werewolves don't exactly 'get along', especially if they're under the same roof"

Jaemin nodded immediately, avoiding Jeno's frightening gaze.

That may be true, but these two are not the average werewolf and vampire. These two are different, and I bet their relationship can be different too, given time.

"If I can get along with both of you separately just fine, then I see no reason why a human, a werewolf, and a vampire can't get along together just fine"
