One year later

"Is that the last one?" Mrs. Jeon asked as Namjoon dragged in Jungkook's luggage, leaving it with two other large bags behind the couch in the living room.

Namjoon nodded. "I still don't see why Jungkook gets to stay in a dorm while I have to go to school from home," Namjoon complained.

Jungkook smirked. "It's not my fault I have a rich fiance who can afford this place."

Namjoon shot him a glare. "This is just not fair. He gets to have a hot ass billionaire fiance, too. He's 17!"

"18," Jungkook corrected, running a hand through his hair. "I clocked 18 three days ago. Unfortunately, you didn't come home at all that day. You were probably in some alleyway club smoking cheap weed and drinking some lame ass gin."

"I'll kill you!" Namjoon charged at Jungkook but Mr. Jeon got in the middle before he could touch him.

Jungkook scoffed a laugh. "You won't even dare."

"That's enough you both," Mr. Kim warned, turning from Namjoon to Jungkook. "Are we forgetting he's your elder brother, Jungkook? The fact that you're 18 and engaged to a CEO doesn't mean you can disrespect your big brother."

"Then tell him to butt out of my life!"

"Namjoon." Mr. Kim faced his older son. "Cut him some slack. Seokjin wants him in a dorm. Jungkook wants to be in a dorm. Leave him alone."

"As simple as that," Jungkook said casually.

"I will slap the teeth out of your mouth if you say anything again," Namjoon warned.

Jungkook rolled his eyes. "I'll like to see you try. I wouldn't even do anything. Jin wouldn't have to lay a finger on you, he has a ton of people just for that."

"Jungkook," Mrs. Jeon called warningly. "Shut up. That's enough of both of you right now. My God, " she shook her head. "I'll see how long you both will be able to stay away from each other with crying you miss the other."

"That's never going to happen, " Namjoon said stubbornly.

"As if." Jungkook rolled his eyes.

Mrs. Jeon shared a look with her husband. Of course, the two of them knew that the two boys were acting that way because they were panicking. Because they had never been away from each other for more than a few days. Because they were already missing each other and a fight was them stubbornly denying it.

"Okay now." Mr. Kim tapped Jungkook's shoulder. "We'll have to leave now to beat the traffic."

"Yes, that's true, " Mrs. Jeon agreed. She walked over to her young son and touched his face. She smiled proudly at him. "Take care of yourself, okay? Be a good boy and remember what family you're from."

"Yes, mum." Jungkook nodded. He was getting emotional. But he was a big boy, he couldn't cry.

"We'll call you every day. Make sure you eat and don't live on Ramen alone, " She continued. "Sleep well and don't stay up late, okay?"

He nodded, humming in response.

"We'll go now, " Mr. Kim announced. "Stay well, Jungkook. Study hard. Become an astronaut and fly us to the moon."

As his family left the room, Jungkook clenched his fists, his throat worked and his eyes watered. He walked behind them, making sure to stop his tears from falling. It was bound to happen, he was bound to live alone at some point in his life.

His gaze dragged to Namjoon. Namjoon walked the slowest, his hand behind his neck, scratching his head. Jungkook could see him chew the inside of his cheek.

"Hyung, " He called in a whisper so Namjoon wouldn't hear, and deep down hoping Namjoon would hear.

Namjoon turned to him. "What?"

He scowled stubbornly, gulping. He looked down away from Namjoon's face. "Come over whenever you want."

Namjoon scoffed. "Damn right, I will." But his lips lifted in a small fond smile before he slipped out of the room and disappeared down the hall with his parents.

Jungkook smiled as he shut the door. But his big boy facade dropped and his tears fell. He wiped them away and looked around his expensively furnished dorm room. Jin had personally bought the furnitures from America and sent them to the dorm.

It was not Jin's former hostel like Jungkook had wanted before. He hadn't wanted that one anymore. He had had his heart broken in that one. Also, Jin had said that dorm brought back painful memories to him. Memories he had refused to share with Jungkook.

"I'm just happy it's all over now, " he had said through the laptop screen.

This one dorm was new. It was the most expensive dorm around. Two storeys with 6 apartments. Jin had picked it out himself the moment Jungkook received his admission letter. He had been excited, he had sent over a bouquet of flowers and a celebratory banquet to Jungkook's parent's house.

Despite Jin being so far away from Korea -from Jungkook- it was barely noticeable because he never failed to call, facetime or text. He never missed any from Jungkook either. It was just as if he were there with Jungkook. Whenever Jungkook began to miss him so much, he would reach up at the necklace he always had on and touch the pendant and automatically, he felt Jin's presence with him. And that had been enough for him.

But he missed Jin a lot. He missed everything about him. It was hard for Jungkook, but he loved Jin so much and that made it bearable.

Jungkook wiped the tears from his face. He missed his family already but he couldn't run after them. He would have to get used to being away from them eventually. So, he took the handle of his bags and pulled them into his room. Lucky for him, the dorm had a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom and toilet. It was a little apartment for him. His own apartment.

He dropped the bag on the white cloud rug of his room and opened it. In between his clothes, he grabbed the two picture frames there. One of his family and the other of Jin. He placed them on the top part of his empty bookshelf and stood back. His heart swelled with love as he looked at the faces of the people that mattered most to him. He had learned to love life because of them. They were his world. Even if he fought with Namjoon all the time, he was going to miss Namjoon a lot because he would have no one to bug him or watch Animal planet with or pee with flushing or make his life a living hell.

But he knew Namjoon, he would be back by the next day with an overnight bag. And Jungkook couldn't wait.

Jungkook took his time unpacking his clothes, most of which Jin had sent from across the world. It was one of the perks of being with a billionaire. After an hour of folding and refolding, he finally got the hang out of it and rounded off.

Dinner was kimchi fried rice and fried chicken his mother had packed in a food flask for him. His dad had bought groceries from the store on their way and stacked his refrigerator so he was full of snacks, fruits, and drinks. He could do whatever he wanted, however, he wanted with no one there to caution him. He was living the dream.

The downside to all of it was that he had to go to school the next day and register his courses. He wished he could just enjoy all of the freedom and food without having to actually go to school. School was boring, too tactical and he felt maybe he wasn't designed to go to it. But his mother would kill him. God forbid, one of her kid being a dropout. And he was going to try. If other people could go to school, he could too.

Jungkook lay on his couch, playing on his phone while watching Animal planet on TV when a knock sounded on his door. He shuffled to his feet and went to check it, looking through the peephole. Someone stood outside. A guy, tall with blue hair, backing the door.

"Who is it?" Jungkook asked.

The person stayed quiet.

"Sorry, who is it?" He asked, speaking a little louder.

Still, the person said nothing. Jungkook rolled his eyes. Whomever it was didn't have anything important to say obviously.

"Hello? Your Pizza delivery is here!" Jungkook looked out again and saw the person was a delivery guy and he had had an earphone on.

"Not me!" He yelled back feeling irritated he had left the comforts of his couch for nothing. He returned to the couch and resumed his chatting on his phone with Jackson.

Minutes later when he was about to put down his phone and concentrate on watching 'World's Deadliest Animals', a knock came. He looked towards the door, contemplating whether it was worth it to go over. But the knock came again, this time in the form of music.

Jungkook got to his feet and strolled over. "Who is it?"

"Someone, " a tiny voice came.

"Huh?" He asked, looking through the peephole. The person was in a face cap, their full figure hidden from sight.

"Who?" He asked again.

Putting up their left hand, five fingers wriggled at Jungkook, a familiar silver ring glistening on the fourth finger. Then, the person jumped into sight. Jin smiled brightly at him.

"It's me, Kookie. Open up, " he said excitedly, taking off his hat.

Jungkook wanted to scream. "Hyung!" He actually screamed. In a frenzy, he unlocked the door and flung the door open.

Jin grinned at him. "Hello, baby, " he called.

"Hyung!" Jungkook cried and jumped into his embrace in the hallway.

Jin hugged him tightly, burying his face in Jungkook's neck. "God! Baby, I missed you so much." He mumbled in Jungkook's neck.

"I can't believe you're here," Jungkook cried.

Jin held him tighter, he peppered kisses all over his face. "I promised, didn't I?"

Tears of joy filled Jungkook's eyes. It was surreal to have Jin there. He couldn't believe. He was too excited. Too happy, he felt he was going to burst.

Soon, he got to his feet. He looked into Jin's eyes, not having to look up again since he had gotten taller over the year. He shook his head. "You're really here." His fingers grazed Jin's face. He hugged Jin again. "I missed you. I missed you so much!"

"I know, baby. Me too, " Jin replied honestly.

Eventually, Jungkook was able to pull away but he took Jin's hand and led him into the dorm. He latched the door, then turned the lock.

"This room..." Jin started, scrutinizing the living room.

Jungkook bit his lips, following Jin's gaze around his new place.

"It's small, " Jin said. "Is this actually the room I picked out?" He turned to Jungkook.

Jungkook nodded. He looked around the room again. It was big enough. He liked it that way.

"It looked bigger in the picture."

"Hyung, it's okay."

"I could get you a bigger place, " Jin offered. "A duplex?"

Jungkook laughed. "It's fine. I love this place."

"Are you sure? I don't mind."

Jungkook took his face in his hand. He brought Jin to look at him. He smiled lovingly at Jin. "I'm sure. I love this place, Kim Seokjin. So much. Since the first day I saw it, I knew I wanted to have it. If you take it away, I don't know what I'll do."

Jin's eyes softened at Jungkook's words. He laughed lowly. "I love you too, choco Kookie, and no one is taking me away from you." He leaned down and kissed Jungkook's lips lightly then pulled away almost immediately. "Show me around."

But Jungkook had wanted something else, not to show Jin around. He had wanted Jin to kiss him more. They had seen in over a year, a peck on the lips didn't suffice at all. "Okay." He led Jin into the Kitchen, then the bathroom and lastly the bedroom.

"Now, this is what I saw. It's nice," Jin said.

Jungkook nodded as he watched Jin walk further into the room. "When did you get back?"

"Now, " Jin answered, picking up his picture frame. He smiled at it.

"You came here from the airport?"

Jin nodded. "Yeah." He put it down and turned to look at Jungkook. His eyes raked Jungkook's body down then back to his face. "How have you been?"

"Fine. I missed you everyday." He touched his necklace.

"Me too. But I'm here now, " Jin assured. He approached Jungkook. "There's nothing to worry about again. I'm sure I made my dad proud. I saved the jobs of thousands of workers. My mum and Chayoung can live the life they deserve. And you, " he stopped in front of Jungkook, his finger grazed Jungkook's lips." you can be happy now, my love."

Jungkook felt a shiver run down his spine. "What about you?"

"As long as you're happy, I'm happy, " Jin whispered.

Again, Jin leaned down, his lips brushing over Jungkook, sending shock waves throughout the boy's body. Jungkook had his hands behind him, he waited for the kiss, but Jin jerked away when his phone rang in his pocket. Jungkook cussed within him in disappointment as Jin pulled it out his phone.

"Mum, " he mouthed to Jungkook and turned away, walking to the window as he connected the call. "Hey, beautiful."

Jungkook watched in awe as Jin took his call, his voice disappearing, as he fell in a daze. Till that moment, he still couldn't believe his luck. Jin was the dream man, the type of man everyone prayed day and night to find. And here he was, in his room, for him and him alone, true, loyal, handsome and head over heels in love with Jungkook.

In truth, Jungkook didn't know what he had done to deserve Jin. Jin was just so good, maybe too good for him. But he knew if he told Jin that, it was going to irritate him because he had come to realize that Jin saw him in the same light as he saw Jin; perfect, too good, just the best.

"Yeah, we just got in about half an hour ago..." Jin's voice became audible again, and Jungkook found he had taken a sit on the soft bed. He bounced on it softly, making sure it was the perfect feel for Jungkook. "Uncle Liam will bring the deeds for the place over... Me?..." His eyes moved to Jungkook. He smiled and winked. "I'm with Kookie..." He licked his lips. "Will I be back today?" He eyed Jungkook.

Jungkook swallowed. He shook his head at Jin. "No, " he mouthed.

"Tomorrow..." Jungkook's heart warmed. He fought back a blush of overexcitement. "Yes, ma... I will, I'm sure he misses your company too... Okay, now, I have to go to him... Yeah, good night. Bye..." He pulled down the phone and ended the call.

"How is she?"

Jin nodded. "She's fine. Says she misses you."

"Me too."

"So, " Jin relaxed, leaning back on his outstretched arms. "Have you had anything to eat?"

Jungkook walked towards him, closing the gap with every step he took. "I have. Mum packed dinner for me to come with."

Jin eyed his sad expression. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. I didn't think I would miss them." He took a seat next to Jin.

"I know. I understand." Jin turned to face him, resting his head on his own shoulder. "But you will be fine."

Jungkook turned to him, too. "I know. I have to be."

"Better."

The two of them stayed silent, just looking into each other's eyes for a moment. Both pairs of eyes mirroring the same twinkle of love and desire. It was Jungkook who leaned over and closed the gap in a small kiss. He pulled away but only a few inches and studied Jin's expression Jin's eyes had been shut in the short kiss, they fluttered open and he looked at Jungkook. Of course, he could see Jungkook was nervous, afraid to push beyond. Afraid to scare Jin away.

Jin touched his face, caressed his reddened cheek with his thumb. "I'm yours, Kook." He moistened his lips. "Whenever, whatever you want, " he reassured.

He belonged to Jungkook. It was something he had come to understand fully well. He was not a property, nor an object. He was a human, a free human, but somehow he was owned. Invisible strings and ropes bound him to Jungkook, and Jungkook to him.

Jungkook didn't wait longer, he crashed his lips against Jin's and kissed him like there was no tomorrow. His sense of reasoning rocketing out of his body. He felt a new emotion take over his body, his mind. When Jin kissed back, deepening the kiss in a passionate, hungry enthusiasm, Jungkook reached over and straddled Jin on the bed.

Jin wrapped his arms around Jungkook's waist, rubbing his hands over Jungkook's slender back. Jungkook's low moans sent his adrenaline rushing. He moved his lips, planting soft delicate kisses on Jungkook's neck. Jungkook's head fell back in utter ecstasy, allowing Jin to suckle lightly on his throat.

Jungkook whimpered in pleasure, his fingers getting lost in Jin's bed of hair. Soon, he was lifted and they were switching positions but this time, they weren't sitting anymore. He was flat on his back, Jin planting his knees on either side of his body. Above him, Jin looked divine, breathtaking and Jungkook could see the love shimmering in his eyes. But he saw more than love, he knew Jin wanted him, just as much as he wanted Jin. But when Jin leaned down he placed a hand on Jin's chest stopping him.

Jin looked down, his expression turning soft and worried. His gaze washed over Jungkook's face his heart ached when he saw the nervousness morphed on Jungkook's face. "It's okay, Kookie." He touched Jungkook face, reassuringly. "We can stop here."

But Jungkook didn't want to stop. Jin didn't want to either. He knew this because of the obvious bulge in Jin's pants, pressed against his groin, against his own hardness.

"No, no, " he shook his head. "I want to." He nodded. "I do. I just.. I need a minute."

"Okay." Jin began to get up but Jungkook held him down, wrapping his arms around Jin's waist.

Jin loved him, he knew it. He loved Jin, hell, he couldn't stop thinking home much. And he knew Jin would never hurt him. There was nothing to be afraid of. He knew it would be painful. He had always known, been afraid of it, dreaded the hurt of the first time. No one had seemed worthy enough for him to go through that pain for. Until he met Jin. He was crazy about Jin. He wanted more, all of Jin without boundaries or limitations. Jin was worth it, every hurt, every pain that would lead to years of pleasure and reckless abandon. And he was happy for one thing, that he had waited. That Jin would be the one he would go through that pain for. That Jin would be the one to bring him that pleasure he had always wondered about. He was ready.

"I know you won't hurt me or break my heart."

"Never. I would never, " Jin whispered softly.

"I know. I just wanted to say it so you know that I know. And I love you, hyung. I trust you, too."

Jin's heart warmed. He shut his eyes briefly. "I love you, too, baby."

Jungkook leaned up one more time and kissed Jin, he wrapped his arms around Jin's neck and fell back against the bed, giving Jin his full permission to take him and show him the other side of loving.

NOTE ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/ABUSE: A lot of people are suffering in silence, unable to speak up for various reasons; fear, love, lack of strength or support. It's not an easy decision to walk away from an abusive relationship. I've read books and come across lots of people who have been through abuse and to be honest, from the outside looking in, it seems like an easy decision to just walk away.

But walking away is really hard. It is the right thing to do but it's also the hardest. They say 'you never feel the pinch unless it's on you', so I can never really understand. I'm not a counsellor or a therapist and I suck at giving advice, but I really hope and pray that for everyone going through any sort of abuse, that they receive the strength to walk away and the courage to speak up to people who would help them because that is the only way out.

Abusers will, most times, try to make it seem like it's the person's fault. It is not. Their tantrum, mood swings and temper is all on them. Everyone deserves respect. Anyone who abuses another person clearly does not respect or love them. If you love someone you would never want to see them hurt. And abuse is extremely and excruciatingly hurtful.

Second chances don't always work out and it might be too late before realisation hits. So, please think about yourself before you start to make excuses for them: your physical and mental health are important.

I sincerely hope you all stay safe and find happiness. Everyone deserves that.
