Once Jin and Jungkook got outside a large 3 storey building, Jin gently untangled his fingers from Jungkook's.

Jungkook looked down at his fingers, fisting them as disappointment washed through him. He suddenly felt alone without Jin's hands in his.

"So, uh, this is my building," Jin announced, awkwardly pointing out the obvious. "Come on."

They both walked in and headed straight for the elevator.

"Wow, how nice," Jungkook chuckled as they stood in the tiny elevator. "An elevator?"

Jin nodded softly, not realising Jungkook hadn't seen his response.

"Hyung, is it expensive here? If it's not too much I would love to live here. We can go to the same school and live in the same dorm. I'd love that. Wouldn't that be nice, hyung?" Jungkook asked, excitedly.

Jin's head slowly came up to look at Jungkook, then suddenly snapped out of a thought when he found Jungkook watching him expectantly.

"Huh?"

"I said, I would love to live here. So we can be closer," Jungkook repeated.

"Oh yes, Kookie. That would be great," Jin nodded, all smiles.

But soon, Jungkook could see Jin wasn't as happy as he tried to appear. He looked just as tensed as he did back at the cafe, and Jungkook couldn't help but think it was his fault.

Sighing, Jungkook gulped and looked down. "Don't you want me to be here?"

Jin looked towards him. "Why would you say that?"

"You look angry, hyung. I haven't seen you angry before." Jungkook's heart was racing. He really didn't want Jin to be angry because of him.

Jin's hand came up to rub his eyes and he let out a sigh, shaking his head furiously. A grin suddenly appeared on his face. "I'm not mad at you." He wrapped his hand around Jungkook's neck and pulled him into his body. "I promise, I'm not mad. I'm just thinking about stupid things, okay?"

"You sure?"

Jin nodded against Jungkook's head, ruffling his hair in the process.

Jungkook chuckled as his hair tickled his face. "Stop!" He shoved Jin away.

Jin smiled and leaned against the wall of the elevator and just then the elevator 'dinged', causing Jin to push himself away.

"We're here," He announced again and walked into the hallway.

The hallway was long and wide, with doors on opposite sides of it. There were a few students standing around, going in and coming out of their rooms.  Jin smiled or waved to a few of them, who acknowledged him too.

"Hyung, you have lots of friends."

"They're not my friends, kookie. They're just my neighbors," Jin corrected him.

"Oh, but you can go to their rooms when you like, right? To talk and watch movies."

"Uh, yeah," Jin shrugged and nodded at the same time. "But I don't go to their rooms."

"Why?!"

Jin chuckled at Jungkook's tone of shock. "Nothing really. I mostly keep to myself."

Jin stopped and turned towards a room. Room 277, Jungkook read.

Bringing his backpack to his front, Jin started to ransack it and soon got out a key, he inserted it in the keyhole before turning it. The door creaked open and Jin moved to the side, allowing Jungkook to enter the room.

Smiling excitedly, Jungkook rushed into the room.

"I love it!" He laughed, making the same 360 degrees turn with every step he made. "It's so big. Hyung, you must be paying a lot."

"Not really. My roommate and I split the bill."

"Wow," Jungkook gasped, overwhelmed he was in Jin's dorm room. "I never want to leave!" He rushed to hug Jin's sides.

Jin laughed. "Why? Cos it's big?"

Jungkook shook his head, shutting his eyes. "Because you live here."

Jin wrapped his arms around Jungkook and hugged back, inhaling Jungkook's soft lavender scent. But soon, he pulled away and walked over to the kitchenette.

"Hyung, are you okay?" Jungkook asked, having watched Jin stand backing him for almost 20 seconds.

"Yup," Jin swiveled with a smile. "Orange juice?"

"Hyung, do you have alcohol? My hyung wouldn't let me drink alcohol. He always hides it in his room and drinks it alone," Jungkook complained as he walked over to the couch and knelt on it, leaning his elbows against the headrest so he would be facing Jin and backing the tv.

Jin chuckled. "You want to drink alcohol? You're only 16."

Jungkook rolled his eyes, flailing his hands effortlessly in the air. "Who cares, hyung? You're here and it's not like you're gonna tell on me to my hyung or my mother."

"Well,..." Jin trailed, placing his hands on his hips. "We don't have alcohol here."

"Hyung, you're lying." Jungkook rushed to the fridge flinging it open and running his eyes through the contents.

"We don't keep alcohol in the fridge, we keep it over there. On the top shelf," Jin said and pointed to a shelf right above Jungkook's head.

Jungkook shut the fridge and moved backwards, standing on his toes so he could now see the empty shelf. He turned to furrow his eyes brows at Jin in suspicion.

Jin laughed at his look. "I swear, that's where our alcohol stays."

Jungkook nodded. "Whatever. I'll just take the juice then."

Jungkook strolled back to the couch and flopped on it, just looking around.

Jungkook hadn't been as happy as he was with Jin in that moment, in a while. Jin was his comfort and joy.

"Here you go," Jin said from behind Jungkook, handing him a glass of orange juice.

"Thank you." Jungkook took the glass from Jin.

Jin wiped his slightly wet hands on his trousers, before nodding towards the tv. "You can watch a movie while I prepare the meal."

"Do you need my help?"

"No, I got it. Just have fun, yeah?"

Jungkook nodded satisfactorily and jumped for the remote.

While Jin had gone back to prepare their meal, Jungkook turned on the tv and began surfing through the channels. He settled on Mnet movies where White Chicks was playing. He had watched the movie a couple of times but couldn't help the excited smile that formed on his lips at the thought of watching it again.

15 minutes later, Jungkook was fully engrossed in his movie while Jin was still in the kitchenette. He had gotten more comfortable and even had his legs flung on the coffee table in the middle of the room.

His phone vibrated in his bag, indicating he had a text. Reluctantly, he reached for his bag and searched for his phone not taking his eyes away from the movie.

When he felt the shape of his Samsung S9, he grabbed it and slowly tore his eyes from the TV. A heavy sigh escaped his mouth as he rolled his eyes at the texter.

From Jimin:

Hey, Jungkook. I heard you were sick and couldn't make it to school. I hope you feel better soon. I'll drop by after school-

Jungkook stopped reading and threw the phone back into his backpack, placing it on the floor by the side of the chair.

Jimin was dreaming thinking he would meet anybody when he got to his house later. The time was barely past 11 and Jungkook had no intention of leaving Jin's dorm anytime soon, neither did he have the intention of allowing anyone get in the way of his current happy mood with Jin.

So he settled back to watch his movie.

"Hyung, is your roommate coming back soon?" Jungkook asked, not looking away from the TV.

"Uh, no. Later in the evening, Kookie."

"Does he work?" Jungkook asked on.

"Yeah," Jin nodded.

Jungkook got on his knees and turned around on the chair, facing Jin. "Do you work, hyung?"

"No, Kookie. I don't have to," Jin replied.

"Are you that rich?"

Jin laughed, shaking his head. "No, I'm not that rich. I'm just comfortable, you get?"

"Yup. Are you almost done?" He got up and walked to the kitchenette. "Mmmh," He inhaled deeply, then slowly exhaled. "It feels like I'm in the kitchen of a 5 star hotel.

Jin laughed. "I'm almost done. Just give me 5 minutes."

For the next 3 minutes, Jungkook watched in admiration as Jin rounded up his cooking and dished them in separate plates. And soon, Jungkook found himself sat in the presence of an exquisite banquet.

"I just want to look at them forever," Jungkook cried and laughed at the same time.

"Come on, eat up. There will be plenty of these kind of meals in the future."

"Really? You'll cook for me again?"

"Of course," Jin said, nodding in assurance. "You're my choco kookie. If I don't cook for you, I don't know who else I'm going to cook for."

Jungkook didn't say more as he settled to eat the food prepared by his Jin hyung.

After their meal, Jin cleared the dishes into the sink while a full, heavy tummied Jungkook tiredly walked back to the couch, flopping on it carelessly.

Jin soon joined Jungkook, grabbing Jungkook's legs and placing it over his laps, they both settled to watch telly.

They had watched 3 movies and were just starting the 4th movie when Jungkook's phone started to ring in his bag.

Groaning, Jungkook fetched his phone before resuming his position on Jin's lap.

"Hyung," Jungkook called once he had answered the call.

"Where are you, Jungkook?" Namjoon asked, worriedly.

"I'm at Jin-" Jungkook clasped his hand over his mouth as he flung his legs to the floor. He had almost outed himself. "At the gym."

"Gym?"

"Yeah." Jungkook shut his eyes, rubbing against the crease that had formed on his forehead. "T-the gym, hyung."

He felt Jin's eyes on him and immediately thought Jin would see him as a liar.

"You're not feeling fine, why would you go to the gym?"

"I felt bored and I'm all better now. Are you home now?"

"Yeah. Come back okay?"

"Okay, hyung."

Jungkook sighed as he hung up.

"Your brother?" Jin, who had been watching him all the while, asked.

Jungkook nodded. "Yes. Past 6?!" He exclaimed as he saw the time on his phone.

Jungkook jumped from the couch and grabbed his back.

"When did it get to 6?" Jungkook asked.

"Shit," Jin muttered, as he too got to his feet.

"Hyung, thank you for today. I had so much fun. Your hostel is so beautiful and your food is reslly tasty," Jungkook rushed out as he slipped on his shoes. "I have to go now. My mum might come back home early tonight. She'd kill me if she doesn't find me at home."

"It's okay. I'm glad you came over," Jin smiled at him. "Let's go."

Jin walked Jungkook to the bus stop and they stood waiting for the bus to arrive.

"Hyung, I'm going to apply for this school."

Jin turned to him, his hands shoved in his pockets.

"I don't think I'll be happier anywhere else," Jungkook continued. "Should I come here?"

Jin nodded. "Do so."

Jungkook nibbled on his lips to hide his blush. "Okay, hyung."

Soon, the bus arrived.

"I'll go now, hyung. I'll call you when I get home, okay?"

Jin nodded. "Mmh."

"Take care of yourself, hyung."

"You too. Don't think too much and always text or call me whenever you start to feel bad, okay? I'll use my superpower to flip your mood over, okay?" Jin winked.

Jungkook laughed as he hugged Jin. "You're the best, hyung."

Jin hesitated but still hugged back. "You too, Choco Kookie."

Once they pulled away, Jungkook climbed into the bus and sat by the window. He put up his hand and waved at Jin who was watching him.

Jin's lips lifted at the sides as the bus drove off. But as the bus disappeared into the distance, his smile fell. He shook his head at the loss of physical contact with his choco kookie before turning to cross over to the other side of the road where his school was.

His heart stopped as his eyes met the raging, piercing eyes boring holes into his head.

-

Fortunately, Jungkook got home before his mother and headed straight to his room. He turned down Namjoon's invitation to eat Ramen for dinner, giving an excuse that he was tired.

Once he got to his room, he dialled Jin's number, but it went to his voicemail. He tried again and didn't get Jin, so he went to take a shower.

After showering and washing his hair clean, he walked back into his room to dress up. He wore a white cotton shirt and a checkered pajamas bottom before slipping into bed.

He grabbed his phone and checked his notifications.

3 missed calls from Jimin

1 new text message from Jimin

From Jimin:

I went to your place but no one was home. I guess we'll see tomorrow at school. Take care of yourself.

2 missed calls from Yoongi

1 new text from Yoongi

From Yoongi:

You can't avoid me forever, Jungkook. Please pick my calls.

But none of those messages mattered to Jungkook. There was none from Jin and that bothered him.

So, he texted Jin.

To Jinnie Hyung <3

Thank you for today, hyung. You really made me happy 😊 I was so sad when I left. I miss you already hyung ♥️ I'll dream of you and I together in your dorm room as roommates, isn't that a good dream hyung? Have a good night, Jin hyung.

Jungkook waited the next 15 minutes for Jin's response, and was already drifting to sleep when Jin's reply came in.

From Jinnie Hyung <3

I'm happy that you're happy, my choco kookie :) What a nice dream that would be! Invite me into your dream, so I'd get to see my kookie one more time tonight okay? ;) Sleep well ♥️

Jungkook's smile broadened as he reread the text message. His heart tug fondly as he soon drifted to sleep.

-

Once he sent the message, Jin held unto his phone tightly as he hugged his knees to his chest. He was shaking and his heart was racing and banging against his rib cage, as if to force itself out of his body.

He rested his head atop his pulled up knees as shivers ran through his body from sitting on the cold bathroom tiles.

"Open the fucking door, Jin!" An angry voice came, followed by a series of banging against the door, frightening Jin the more causing him to snap his head up.

There was no way in hell he was opening the door... Not that night.
