Jungkook didn't bother with Ariana Grande jumping around in the TV. His thoughts were directed to the person who was a couple of rooms away from him, acting very strange. Jungkook felt, it was probably a mistake coming over. Maybe he should have invited Jin over to their usual spot. He hadn't thought his surprise through.
He ran his hands down the thick material of his jeans in frustration. His head fell. He sighed heavily. He let out worried groans. Why did he always have to ruin everything? He had managed to get his full life on track. The one aspect that still seemed shaky, that he was supposed to take his time to arrange, he had managed to screw that up too.
Jungkook hissed. "I should have called him." He shook his head in regret.
"What are you thinking about so hard?"
Jungkook snapped his head back to find Jin standing in the room. He was alone, smiling at Jungkook, fondly. He didn't look like a stranger anymore. He looked like the Jin hyung Jungkook knew.
"Can I get a hug?" Jin asked, contorting his face in a doubtful grin.
Jungkook got to his feet. He walked towards Jin and stood before him. Delicate, loving yet piercing eyes searched desperate, kind ones. Jungkook was eager to know what was on Jin's mind. In that moment, he wished he had the power of mind reading.
"Kookie..." Jin called, taking Jungkook's hand in his.
"Where is your roommate?" Jungkook asked, tracing his thumb over Jin's smooth knuckle. The feel of Jin's hand in his sent waves of ecstasy wiring through every vein in his body.
"He's in his room," Jin answered.
"Is he angry I came looking for you?" Jungkook asked. "Is that why you acted like that?"
"No, Kook, he isn't," Jin said softly. "He's not mad at anyone. And I'm sorry how I acted. I was really surprised. Trust me, I'm very very happy to see. You have no idea how much," Jin whispered.
"Are you sure you're fine?"
"Yes, Kook." Jin raised a brow. "I said, I missed you. You didn't say it back."
Jungkook smiled hearing Jin's voice, listening to the reassurance he wanted. "I missed you too."
Jin smiled back. "So, can I get a hug?"
Jungkook nodded and stepped into Jin's embrace. Cold shivers ran up his spin causing his heart to unexpectedly skip a beat. He relaxed in Jin's strong hold, his heart and soul baring themselves in the loving embrace he had craved for days. He felt like a starved child finally having to eat a proper meal.
He moved closer against Jin's body, making sure as many parts of their bodies as possible were touching, that was how much he craved Jin's touch.
Jin held him like his source of air. His one hand rested behind Jungkook's back protective, constantly running up and down, soothingly, delicately. While the other fingered through his hair, scratching his scalp. Making Jungkook's heart beat quickened with desire.
"So so much, baby." Jin's lips brushed over the sensitive skin below Jungkook ear, causing goosebumps to appear throughout his body.
When they eventually pulled apart, it took all of Jungkook to not lean in and press his lips against Jin's. He breathed heavily with passion and want, eyes fixated on Jin's parted plump lips.
But Jin took his hand and walked him to the couch where they both sat down. Jin's leg hit with the paper bag that Jungkook had come with. Curiously, he picked it up.
"What's this?" Jin asked, peeking into the bag.
"I got it. I heard fruit helps with retentive memories," Jungkook muttered.
Jin grinned. He shook his head. "Thanks, Kookie. I'll eat this with you on my mind." He placed the bag on the ground and turned to Jungkook. "How's school?"
"Fine. Very fine. They found out the person who made the post about me."
"They did? Who is it? Someone you know?"
Jungkook frowned and nodded. "Unfortunately, someone I used to date."
Jin raised a brow. "Yoon Ji?"
"No, not Yoongi. Jimin"
"Wow," Jin said, eyes wide in shock. "I wouldn't have guessed. What was his reason?"
"He didn't say any. Our principal didn't give him a chance to defend himself. By the ways, what's there to defend? The computer guru guy hacked into his system and recovered the fake account he used to make the post." Jungkook finished off with a half shrug.
Jin shook his head, still in disbelief. "That's disgusting, Kook. How could he do this to you?" Jin sighed. "Are you okay?"
Jungkook nodded, and smiled. He crossed his ankles in front of him. "I am. I haven't felt this relieved and at peace, in a very long time."
"That's nice to hear, Kookie. You deserve it, and I'm glad you're finally getting to be happy."
Not fully, Jungkook thought eyeing Jin. "Me too."
"So-"
"How are you?" Jungkook turned to his side and leaned more into the seat. He was facing Jin completely now.
"I'm okay. Better that you're here though."
"Have you been very busy? You don't call me again." Jungkook pouted.
Jin shut his eyes briefly. "You're right. I've been horrible."
"No," Jungkook said defensively. "You're not. Don't call yourself horrible. You're having your exams. You've been busy."
"I've been so busy, Kookie. I haven't even had time for leisure. But it's not an excuse. When someone is important to you, you should make out tine for that person. And you're important to me. So, I'm sorry."
Jungkook shook his head. He swallowed. "It's okay. I understand. It's not too late."
"Oh, certainly. I will call you. I promise," Jin assured.
They sat in silence for a minute, just staring at one another, obviously feeling the same thing within themselves but no one talking about it.
Jin held out his hand.
Jungkook looked down at it. Long, beautiful fingers adorned in silver rings. His eyes darted back up to meet Jin's gaze. He placed his hand in Jin's. Jin wrapped his hand over Jungkook's hand and squeezed it. Stealthily, he brought it to his lips and kissed it. His lips lingered on Jungkook's knuckle like someone struggling to fight for their last breath.
Jungkook watched as Jin's hair fell over his face in his bowed position. He eeas dying inside him with curiosity. What the hell was Jin thinking? What was going through the beautiful mind of this perfect man!?
Jin didn't lift his head up. He instead peeked up at Jungkook, lips still attached to Jungkook's hand. "Kookie..."
"Hyung, I have to tell you something very important."
Jin leaned back up. He nodded.
"Give me a second," Jin said and walked to the door that led from the dorm's living room to the bedrooms. He leaned over, grabbed the handle of the door and pulled it towards him, shutting the door of the inner dorm. It was just the two of them. When he turned back, Jungkook looked nervous.
"Kookie," He called. "Are you okay?"
Hesitantly, Jungkook nodded. "Yes."
"You don't look okay," Jin said worriedly, reaching out to take Jungkook's face in his hand. His eyes searched Jungkook's face in a frenzy search.
Jungkook's stomach plunged uncomfortably.
"Hyung, please, don't say anything." He swallowed hard. "Let me talk."
Jin relaxed. He looked down at Jungkook who was on the couch, but Jungkook wasn't looking at him anymore. Jungkook's shoulders were tensed as he looked between his legs. Jin's heart melted. He could feel the pain emitting from Jungkook, but he didn't understand why. Was it because of Hoseok? Had he figured that they were dating?
"Jungkook, I want to-"
"Hyung, listen..." He let out a heavy breath. "I know you're much older than me and better looking, and more intelligent. And I know I don't even begin to compare to the type of friends you have or the tyoe of people that want to be friends with you. But what am I supposed to do if I begin to feel this way? What do I do if my stupid brain and my stupid heart choose to ignore all those facts? Jin," He shut his eyes. "I can't hide it anymore. My feelings are choking me. And I think about you every second of the day. And no matter how much I deny it, it wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't change the truth. It wouldn't change the fact that I know so badly and I can't unknow, that I love you."
Jungkook bit his lip as he finished speaking. His hands shook. Fear ate him from inside out. He wouldn't be able to take it. Jin's rejection was going to break him down into a milion pieces. If Taehyung's break up had broken his heart, Jin's would crush the pieces into fine powder. He would be irreparable because he had built his trust, happiness and confidence around Jin that getting over him would require a miracle and he wasn't sure how long it would take for that miracle to happen.
So, deep down, inside of him, he prayed that Jin would not reject him. That Jin would look past their age difference and see the truth which was the sincerity of Jungkook's feelings.
"Please, Jin, say something."
The will to refer to Jin with honorific had disappeared. And Jungkook just sat still nervously.
He felt Jin move towards him and take the seat next to him. He sighed long and slowly. He touched Jungkook's back.
"Look at me, Kookie," Jin demanded, softly.
It took a while but eventually, Jungkook gathered the courage to pick up his head and turn to look at Jin.
His hand went to cup Jungkook's face. "You're shaking."
Jungkook began to pull away, but Jin didn't let go. He let his hand remain on Jungkook's face.
"You would have let me say I wanted to say. Maybe then-"
"It doesn't matter what you have to tell me. I'll still feel the same way for you."
Jungkook looked down at his trembling hands. He clenched it to still them, but his fists still vibrated. With his other hand, Jin took Jungkook's hands in his and held them tightly.
"Listen to me.. I can't exactly tell you what you want to hear because I'm in a position where I'm not supposed to. At least, not yet. But, I want you to know that you're not alone on this. I've had lots of sleepless nights. I've almost gone crazy too." He scooted closer towards Jungkook, brushing his thumb on Jungkook's cheek. "Kookie..." Jin shut his eyes tight. How do he tell Jungkook about Hoseok without hurting his feelings?! He was too precious to Jin!
Jungkook's wet eyes darted to Jin's lips. He was irrevocably in love with Jin. He knew Jin had feelings for him too. But he couldn't figure out what the issue was. Jin was struggling to tell him something but he was held back. Jungkook wanted to reassure him that he could tell him anything. Even if it was to reject him. But he hated to see the look of pain plastered on Jin's face. It was worse than hitting his head against the edge of a table.
"Jin," Jungkook breathed, he leaned in towards Jin, covering the space between them. When Jin opened his eyes, Jungkook saw his eyes move to his lips. Hot air left his lips and fanned Jin's face. His sense of reasoning was being overshadowed by his blazing passion to crash his lips on Jin's pinkish ones.
Jin leaned his forehead against Jungkook's. "Kookie... I don't want you to get hurt." His finger ran over Jungkook's wet lips.
Shaking his head, he held his hand to Jin's chest, feeling Jin's heart drum hyper actively under his palm. "Jin, as long as you're with me, there's nothing that can ever hurt me." Without further hesitation, he pushed forward and did what he had been dying to do for months, he pressed his lips against Jin's lips.
Jin didn't wait, he kissed Jungkook back. His heart leaping in a mixture of want and fear of being walked in on. Hoseok was only a few rooms away. But he didn't stop, his desire for kissing Jungkook surpassd his fear of Hoseok seeing them in that compromising position.
He kissed Jungkook with all his emotions poured in. Their lips moved slowly but passionately. Tongues grazing one another, lips sucking on another pair. He explored every inch of Jungkook's pretty soft lips, and mouth. For a long time, he had imagined what it would feel like to taste Jungkook's lips. He had gone to bed with thoughts of the younger boy in his head. And in the moment, Jin had never felt such wave of electrifying pleasure overcome him all through. He needed no soothsayer to tell him he was madly in love with Jungkook, but was that enough reason to give up on the love he and Hoseok had shared?
Jungkook moaned into the kiss, his hand fingering Jin's mop of fine brown hair. Insatiable desires triggered him and prodded him to push Jin on the couch and have his way. For the first time, Jungkook was desperate to reach for Jin's jeans and feel his manliness down there. He was desperate to explore the same thing that had caused him three relationships. With Jin, he was willing to go that far and even beyond. He knew Jin would never hurt him, he was certain that Jin was the right person for him to share his innocence with.
But eventually, Jin pulled away for breath. Their chests rose and fell in sync as they tried to catch their breaths. Both lips were swollen and pink from the kiss.
Jin shut his eyes, throwing his head back with a heavy breath.
"Jin, I love you," Jungkook said again, in case, Jin was feeling regretful. "I really do. Believe me."
Jin nodded. "I know, baby. I know," He said in exasperation. Pain laced his words.
Jungkook opened his mouth to speak, when the door opened and fresh cologne filled the air. Hoseok appeared out of the door. He was dressed up. Jin, instantly, got to his feet.
Jin looked at his roommate. "Are you leaving now?"
"Yeah. I have to catch the bus early," Hoseok said, folding the sleeve of his shirt.
"Okay." He was still struggling with his breathing and Jungkook held back a laugh. "Do you want me to walk you to the bus stop?"
What?! No! Jungkook wanted to say. He glared at Jin for his stupidly nice offer. They had to spend every freaking second together until Jungkook left in the evening. Hoseok leaving was more than a blessing to Jungkook. He and Jin could get to finish what they started.
"No, no. Stay with your guest. I'll be fine." Hoseok waved him off.
Jungkook blushed deeply. His palms sweated. Thoughts of having Jin sweaty, bare body perched atop his filled his head. He didn't feel so afraid of the thought of sex. But he knew how Jin was very protective of his innocence. That, he had to set it straight with Jin. He wasn't a kid, he wasn't as innocent as Jin thought he was. He had gone to sleep numerously touching himself to thoughts of Jin's beautiful Angel face. He had to tell Jin that he was capable of doing what he wanted.
"Okay," Jin said to Hoseok.
Hoseok walked over to him. He pulled Jin to the side, away from where Jungkook was. But curiosity ate Jungkook and he glanced over his shoulder, when he turned Hoseok's lips were pressed against the same set of lips he had just kissed on a few seconds ago.
Jungkook's eyes filled up instantly, his mouth falling open. His heart rocketing into his lungs, making his breathing hitch. "Jin.." He breathed out difficultly.
"I love you, babe," Hoseok said.
No, Jin hyung, please, don't say it back, Jungkook's heart begged. His lips trembled.
"I love you too," He heard Jin whisper.
Not bothered with if Hoseok had left or not, Jungkook buried his face in his hands and cried.
