To Jinnie hyung:
Hyung, why can't they all be like you
Jin's response had come immediately and worriedly. Instead of three vibrations, Coldplay's Hymn For The Weekend started to play. His ringtone.
Jinnie Hyung <3, flashed across the screen.
Jungkook had broke into small sobs, but he still slid his fingers to the right across his screen, connecting the phone.
Slowly, Jungkook raised the phone to his right ear, supporting the device with two hands.
"Hello, Kookie. Are you okay?" Jin's worried voice asked through the phone.
You know that moment when you're trying so hard to be strong thereby holding back your emotions that are hanging by a thread and then someone from nowhere asks you what the problem is and suddenly it all comes loose? Good.
Jungkook's repleting emotions burst and he started to cry loudly, not minding the people that had turned and were not looking at him, wondering why the student was crying.
His tears poured and matched the stream the rain was forming, as his heart shattered into atomic pieces.
"Kookie, are you crying?"
Jungkook tried to stop the tears, to hold it in but his emotions had a mind of its own. His tears went on full gear.
"Student, are you okay?"
"Why are you crying, dear?"
They were nice people around him, worried about why he was crying but Jungkook wasn't ready to answer questions or to start explaining, so with one hand holding onto the strap of his bag so as to limit its bounciness, Jungkook rushed into the rain and took off, pocketing his phone.
He didn't stop running. For 10 minutes, he ran passed people staring at him, he ran until the rain became drizzles, until the drizzles stopped and the roads were once again flooded with people hurrying to their various destinations.
When he finally stopped running, his tears had ceased and he was walking up the steps to his house, his clothes soaking wet. If his mother saw him like that, she would flip but thankfully, she was at the hotel working. She was a housekeeper and worked days or nights on alternative weeks. That week, she was working days.
His father- Jungkook didn't know his father. His father had walked out on them when he had been a few months old, leaving just his mother, his elder brother -namjoon- and himself.
His brother was 19 and also a college student like Jin. He went to school not to far from home and usually came back in the evenings, so most of the time Jungkook was alone.
Jungkook took off his shoes outside the house so it would dry, then got out his keys and opened the door. As soon as he walked in, he felt shivers run up his spine, causing goose bumps to appear on his body.
He shrugged off his clothes in the hallway, leaving just his boxers then went to throw them in the washing machine.
He carried his bag to his room and emptied the contents of it on the floor. His books were wet! Even his assignments! His teachers, especially Miss Sulli, would kill him if his assignments got smeared.
Grabbing his small table fan, he put it before the books to make the drying process faster.
Another shiver ran through his body, hinting he had to bath with hot water and dry his hair, but first he picked his phone and gasped at the number of texts and missed calls from Jin.
Missed call from Jinnie Hyung <3

Did something happen? Call or text me when you can pls.
No one was like Jin. If only Jungkook was 2 or 3 years older, he would have asked Jin to marry him as he was already jealous of the extremely lucky person that would marry him.
Jungkook responded to his texts, just so Jin wouldn't get to worried.
To Jinnie Hyung <3:
Hyung, we broke up.
Jungkook swallowed the hurt, the pain and dropped the phone on the bed before slipping out of his boxers and heading to the bathroom.
10 minutes later, Jungkook had finished his hot water bath and changed into a sweater, skinny jeans and socks.
Normally, he would have gone to the kitchen in search of what his mother had left for his lunch but that day he couldn't be bothered with food. He had no appetite to begin with. His heart was still in aching.
Jungkook spent the rest of his afternoon laying on the living room couch, staring at the images on the TV but not making any sense from them. He was deep in thoughts, occasional streaks of tears would roll down his face as he blamed himself for being the cause of his misery.
If only he wasn't so scared of sex, he'd be in a happy relationship. But instead, he was petrified of it. He dreaded it.
Like teenage boys, he had his moments. He touched himself and during some intimate moments, he had let his ex boyfriends touch him and jerk him off. All of those were fun, especially when Taehyung would have his hand wrapped around him, jerking him off. He enjoyed all of those. But penetration? That was a no. Not even if you prepped or fingered first or used all the Vaselines and lubes in the world and he was as slippery as goo.
Jungkook didn't understand why people couldn't be happy with just making out, blowjobs and handjobs. There mustn't be penetration to prove love, right?
Why did someone as young as he was have to suffer the worry of sex and heartbreaks?
Jungkook didn't move from his position until Namjoon came back from University classes by 6.
The door unlocked from outside and footsteps approached, but Jungkook didn't stir. He was already used to the routine and knew it was his big brother.
"Hey, Jungkook. Did you see the rain? It was crazy. Imagine what I wore to school today; short-sleeved shirt. I thought I was going to freeze in class. I'm never disregarding weather reports."
Namjoon let out a heavy sigh just as he flopped on the single armed chair, letting his bag drop by the side of his chair.
"What's there to eat? I'm craving sushi tonight but I have only a few dollars with me and I'm saving for a new phone. Did you eat?"
Jungkook's gaze had shifted from the TV to the coffee table in the middle of the room.
The couch he was laying on was adjacent to the TV with the coffee table in between, with two arm chairs on either ends of the table, so the chairs and the TV also would surround the table.
Namjoon was sitting on the couch closest to the door which was on the right to Jungkook, so he was only able to see the top of Jungkook's head.
"Hey, are you pretending to be sleeping?" Namjoon's lips lifted into a smile, his dimples appearing, at the thought of his baby brother playing the fond trick on him. "I already saw your eyes open when I walked in. You're watching The Promise? I thought you hated Indian series? Ew, so boring. Change it to ESPN. Let's see who's playing today."
Still getting no response, Namjoon grabbed his hat from his head, his hair falling across his face and throwing it at Jungkook.
Slowly, Jungkook lifted his head to look at Namjoon. He had wiped off his tears, but his eyes were puffy and red.
"What is it?" Namjoon sat out on the chair, observing his brother was not fine.
Jungkook shook his head.
"Are you okay? Did the rain drench you?"
"Y-yes," Jungkook let out a cough as he choked back a sob.
Namjoon got up and approached Jungkook, placing the back of his hand to Jungkook's head.
"Mmmh.. You'll be fine," Namjoon mused, pulling his hand away.
If only he could tell Namjoon he'd rather be sick than heartbroken at that moment. But he couldn't tell Namjoon what he was feeling. Namjoon didn't know about his relationship with Taehyung. He didn't even know Jungkook had started dating. No one in his house knew.
Namjoon sat on the arm of the chair. "Have you had something to eat?"
He swept the hair falling over Jungkook's face.
"Did mum leave anything to eat?"
Jungkook shook his head and relaxed into the chair.
"I didn't check."
"You haven't eaten?" Namjoon stood up. "You shouldn't be starving. I'll go check what is around."
Jungkook let Namjoon go fetch the food. He wasn't hungry, not the least bit but when Namjoon brought food, he forced himself to eat a little.
After eating, he resumed his laying position. His thoughts drifting from Taehyung to going to his room to check his phone because he was certain Jin had tried to reach him and was worried.
Besides his family, Jin was the only person that made him feel relevant- loved. Without Jin these past months, it would have been hard to make it to that point. Jin was like his shield, his pillar, his sanity.
Thinking about Jin made Jungkook start to miss him.
Jungkook sat up on the couch, throwing the duvet from his body.
Namjoon's head snapped to the left - away from the film he was watching on MNet movies- when Jungkook stood up.
"Are you going to bed?"
Jungkook nodded, going to give the duvet to Namjoon. "Good night, hyung."
"Good night. And cover yourself well."
"Okay," Jungkook said and started to leave.
"Turn off the lights," Namjoon said, transferring to the chair Jungkook had just vacated, so as to relax properly on the long couch.
Jungkook turned off the light and walked out of the room, leaving Namjoon to his movie.
Namjoon was going to stay up watching movies until 10, when their mum got back from work.
Once he got to his room, Jungkook grabbed his phone from where it was charging- 100%.
As he unplugged it from the charger, the screen lit up showing his notifications.

The texts from Jin were enough for Jungkook. At that moment it was enough to push Taehyung to the farthest part of Jungkook's thoughts and bring Jin's beautiful face and kind heart as Jungkook tried to imagine Jin in his dorm room as he composed the texts worriedly and sent them to him.
Why was Jin so nice to him? If he didn't know better he would say Jin might be in love with him. But that couldn't be the case. Jin was way hotter, mature, intelligent, nicer and older, he could date whomever he wanted. He was way out of Jungkook's league. He couldn't turn away from all those college boys and fall for him, 16 years old Jungkook.
If anything, Jin probably saw Jungkook as a younger brother that was why when they first met he had always called Jungkook dongsaeng. But as they got to know each other, dongsaeng phased out and it became kookie. Now he alternated between kookie and choco kookie, a fun nick that made Jungkook fluster whenever he called him that.
The thought of Jin probably seeing him as a baby brother made Jungkook's smile fall, so he pushed the thoughts to the back of his head and snuggled into the pillow rereading Jin's caring and reassuring texts until he drifted off to sleep.

A/n: So Jungkook is hurting and heartbroken, and Jin is trying to be there for him. If only there were more Jins in the world 😟
Do you think Jin is in love with Jungkook or he only sees Jungkook as a younger brother? Tell me what you think. ♥️
