A Very Unusual Week (highschool part 2)
Minna! Happy new year! I wish for the best of everyone! :) Comment anything on what u think, alright?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I stopped to look at the bench that was very memorable to me, back then, even if it was long ago, I still remembered it, it makes me sad to think that Natsu pushed me while sitting there and made my ice cream fall to the ground!! Ugh! I spent all my savings on that ice cream, but it was pretty funny, looking back at that.
"Hmm, I wonder if Natsu is still living here....probably not, he's fond of traveling so I suppose he changed." I told myself as I watched the train stop in front of me and I went inside. The doors closed and I was in car #2, noticing the seat beside the door. The rumored Salamander of Fairy High sat, ear pierced and hair all going in different directions. He turned to look up at me, with a questioning look.
Whoa! He's....he's not that scary at all, he's kinda cute actually....wait! What am I saying?? Levy and the others told me to avoid him! So I turned my attention to my front and walked, finding a seat, but I just couldn't stop looking at him from time to time. I'm curious why people have so many things to say about him, both negative and positive.
Today is Monday and I have a whole week of school! Fairy High is messed up, I tell you! I sighed, staring out the window. But it was alright, all my friends were there. Well, at least I got to see all my friends from before...most of the at the very least. My eyes uncontrollably turned again to look at Salamander who had his eyes averted from mine.
I swear I saw a glimpse of his eyes locked on mine....was he looking at me? Or staring? N-no! That's got to be impossible and that idea is just scary.
When it was my stop, I exited the train, I tried to face front and just go out of the room without doing anything, but my eyes suddenly turned to the Salamander, seconds before I passed him. I was surprised as our eyes met with that single second. He opened his mouth to say something, but quickly shut his mouth before he could say anything. I was already outside, standing there, waiting for the doors to close as our eyes fixated on each other until the doors closed and the train went on its way.
I couldn't stop thinking about how our eyes met. It was a bit surprising, but I bet it's nothing at all.
The next day arrived and I walked to the train station and wondered, am I going to meet the Salamander in the train again? I quickly shook my head leaving that thought aside. Why am I even asking myself a question like that?! I looked up and saw the train station a few steps away from me. I smiled and thought of the craziness would happen today. As I waited for the train to arrive, someone called out to me.
"Lucy!" Someone called. SOUNDS LIKE......I turned around to see who it was.
"Levy!" I called out as well. "Good morning." I greeted and she greeted back. And in the nick of time, The train arrived. As I entered, talking with Levy, I saw Salamander again in the same seat in car #2. Our eyes met again, but only for a short second before I averted my eyes away from his, and he probably did it too. I sat down and observed Salamader, having multiple bandages, one on the cheek, his hair a bit ruffled and I noticed an earring on his left ear. I blushed and looked away. Did he get in a fight or something...?
"Hey Lucy! Are you even listening?" Levy asked. Lucy quickly turned to look at Levy, averting her attention to her.
"S-Sorry..." I replied, smiling a bit. I shouldn't look anymore...
I could see Levy's worried face and I couldn't tell if she's worried about the unknown or if she saw me looking at Salamander.
"You know, I heard that Salamander got on a fight again..." She told me, looking down. OH NO....I THINK SHE JUST CAUGHT ME.
"How did you know about that?" I asked, trying to continue the conversation.
"Gajeel told me." She said. "And...He was in the fight to, so...It's kinda--" She giggled, nervously at the thought.
I laughed. "So are you saying he's such a handful?"
"Oh if you only knew, Lucy!" She whined. I laughed again. I like how Levy makes a heavy situation light, even if she's the one bringing it up.
Our stop arrived and we went to school, chatting up with each other and along the way came across with Erza.
"Hey, I heard Gajeel got in a fight yesterday." Erza said in a questioning tone. With that being said Levy grunted in exhaustion of the though.
"H-H...How did you know about that...?" Levy asked, still looking down at the ground as we walked.
"Jellal was in it." She replied quickly, a little embarrassed. That made me think, Does a boyfriend give you these kinds of troubles? Of course, I didn't want to ask them that.
I just sighed for them and entered school with others students walking together. I looked around and my eyes caught a glimpse of pink hair. Why am I always seeing him?? Or rather, why are my eyes always catching him? I just don't get myself...
We all sat down as the bell rang and the teacher entered the room.
"Good morning, everyone." Greeted the teacher, it was hew new teacher, Ms. Bisca Mulan.
Mira, Erza, Lucy and Levy's jaw dropped and so did the others, including Gray and other boys that were in the camp. "Why did it get quiet...?" Salamander asked as he entered the room.
"Hmm...late?" Bisca asked Salamander.
"Probably." He replied. Bisca disregarded that reply and calmly faced the crowd.
"I am a new teacher here. Please to meet you! Since Gildarts isn't coming frequently, zi've decided to fill in his place."
Mira stood up , in shock. "Bisca?? Wow!" She said in amazement. "You look different!"
"Yeah!" Erza agreed, sitting still in her seat.
Bisca laughed it all out and smiled. "Mira, I had to change my appearance. Don't want my daughter thinkin' I'm some kind'da thug."
"D-Daughter??" They all said in unison, except for those who doesn't know her from before. I'm surprised as well, but it's possible. Of course, Bisca-sensei is beautiful. I wonder who's the father though.
She giggled. "Yep, that's right. I have a daughter, but let's stop at that fer' now and continue on homeroom class, shall we?"
"Yes ma'am..." They all said in disappointment. Discussing kindness during homeroom and I noticed that Salamander just looked out the window for almost the whole period. I wonder what he"s thinking about out that window? It's odd how long he stares outside. Then out of the blue, he turns to look at me, a bit hesitant, but still caught me looking at him.
So I quickly turned to face front and sit still, hoping he didn't notice it that
much. Luckily, things wasn't so odd today...Oh! who am I kidding? Today was filled with chaos that none of the teachers decided to stop it. Instead they joined in as well! Like this one time today at homeroom, The guys were being too loud and unruly that Bisca-sensei snapped! And suddenly put out a gun!
"Alright, Y'all! You bet'ah be quiet! Or else y'all be meetin' this lil' friend o'mine!" Her accent was western and it made her look much less of a teacher to the eyes of the others students. She loaded her shot gun and it made a loud click sound from the inside that brought everyone's into shivers. "That's what I'm talkin' 'bout." She said as she nodded in victory, but of course...The boys have too much pride to loose to a woman, even if she was a teacher.
"You may have a gun!" Declared Salamander.
"Oh no...Not again..." Said Mira with a worried look, I turned to Levy and Erza and they had their hands looking like it was stuck to their faces. "F-Facepalms???" I muttered to myself.
"But we won't loose to you!" Salamander continued.
"Oh, is that so?" Her smirk grew wider and her eyes squinted in the most terrifying way we've seen today. "I have an army." She declared.
"Where is you're army?" Salamander shouted.
"Here!" She raised a red pen in the air. "Plus ten in the next test to whoever helps me win!" Then every smart-ass and hopeless suckers that are failing or not stood up and gathered beside Bisca-sensei. The only people sitting down on their chairs were, Me, Mira, Erza, Levy, I few more students and Cana--Oh wait, I think she joined Bisca-sensei's group.
"So what? I have that too!" He raised one hand and, simultaneously, all of the unruly boys in class stood up and glared at the opposing side as if this war is serious enough to end in a life or death kind of thing.
Bisca-sensei chuckled hysterically. "Not just an army, young man." She tapped on the black board and there pops out a little girl holding a brown hand gun.
"You're letting you daughter join?!?" I asked, standing up.
"Now Salamander! Think!" She exclaimed in pure confidence. "I have an army!"
He chuckled and passed his thumb across his face horizontally in a quick pace once. "We....Have...." He looked up. "An Erza!"
"What makes you think I'll join this mess?!?" Erza questions. I'm starting to feel like this place has become a war field....
"We have cake!" Then Erza quickly stood up, running to their side and placed both her arms on her waist, sure to win something useless.
"We have Mira!" Then Mira just diligently stood up and walked in the front. "I can't deny a plus ten." Mira said. Only Levy and me are left...I turned to see what Levy thought, but it was too late! She already left. I looked down, not to see what'll happen next. Then someone grabbed my arm and pulled me out the room.
"Hey! Let go!" I said, struggling free. Then when we were out of the room he let got of me and I looked up to see it was Salamander.
"You stay here where it's safe." He said as he turned his back on me and ran inside shouting. "Damn you!! We're gonna win, old hag!" And suddenly they started the fight, and the whole room was in a mess! In the end Bisca-sensei's team won and they all got plus ten. Why did Mira won? She didn't. So did Erza. The Mira against Erza battle didn't finished. Both of them fought from one place to another. Who know where the are now!
I sighed. And that's just one fourth of my day today. Second one was at Lunch break, Mira and Erza came back with scratched and ruffled hair.
"What happened to you two?" I asked.
"We...went a bit overboard..." They both said in unison. Then when everything was just peaceful....this happened!
"Hey!" Salamander called. "I want a rematch!" He demanded.
"Be my guest." She said again and everything that happened in homeroom happened again!! Mira and Erza went on it again too...
So in the end I sadly ate alone in my seat. Levy was scared as hell when stuff like this happens so I'm, pretty much the only one who's eating in the classroom. I sighed in exhaustion. This time Natsu's side won, and they got plus ten on the second test for the semester. And the last one wasn't so bad. While Mira and Erza told me about how they fought each other and how Levy hide in the library for almost the whole day, My eyes turned to my left, seeing Salamander and the other guys, messing around in the hallways and getting scolded by the teachers.
Either way, my day has been nothing near a school day, but rather a field trip or maybe sports festival....I don't know. The days past and they weren't so different from what happened on each of them. Then it was....Wait? It's already friday already?? Wow! Time really goes fast when your having fun! I laughed the thought out!
And to note out, that I had this itch to prove Erza and the others that Salamander's not that tough of a guy. So I tried to greet him a simple good morning every day, but I managed to say nothing to him all week! Maybe getting just a bit close to him isn't so bad, right? I noticed myself blushing at my own thoughts and shook my head. D-Don't be silly! Of course, He'll just be my friend! I think that's how it'll end up anyway. We're have the same uniform....but is it really weird so say hello?
The day ended with bang from Bisca-sensei, Literally. I don't even want to describe how wild she is on the end of the weeks... And the school song played in the speakers, reminding us it was friday.
It was Friday...I sigh. Finally some brake from the stressful week. I attended a fellowship near my school and after the activities, I noticed it was already late. I went back to school to get my umbrella since it seemed to be a bit cloudy.
As I went walking home from school. I looked around the gate of the school, no one else here? There aren't any students here. How come they went back to school so early? I wonder....Then I saw Levy at the door.
Running to her I asked, "Are you going home yet?" She nodded. "Let's go together." I suggested. She smiled and nodded again. Then she looked up at the sky and noticed it was starting to rain.
"Oh, it's raining." I said, holding my umbrella tightly in my hand. I looked at her, as if to ask if she had an umbrella.
"Don't worry, I have one." She smiled, pulling out her umbrella from her bag.
"Tch." Said a guy from behind me who was scratching his head. It was Salamander, I think he doesn't have an umbrella....I don't know why, but my legs were trembling as I walked closer to him and my hands seemed to tremble.
"Y-You can use this if you want...." I said shyly, not looking at him, maybe even blushing. I couldn't see his expression, but he replied with a soft.
"T-Thank you." His voice made my heart flutter. It wasn't rough. It was soothing in the middle of the heavy rain and gentle but somehow hearable.
Then I ran towards levy, under the umbrella to cover myself from the rain. Both of us were silent for a while, but Levy spoke, ending the quietness.
"Do you...like...Salamander...?" Her tone had a regretful tone and from her starting words, it sounded hesitant. The question mind blocked me for a while, blushing and fidgeting over that one question. I was silent.
"You know," She started again. "I've already warned you about him. He's dangerous, Lucy."
"He doesn't seem dangerous!" I blurted out. I saw her hand clenching the handle of the umbrella. Not from anger, but from restraint.
"Just...Be careful around him, alright?" She smiled at me. I smiled back. "Just don't fall for him. Give chances!" She giggled. "Maybe some other cute guy caught his eyes on you!"
"Shut up." I replied, jokingly and she laughed a loud. I sighed and at the end of the road we separated because she doesn't need to ride a train since her house is just a walking distance from where we stood. I waved goodbye as the concrete wall blocked my sight of her and I went on my way. I used the train and went home, still couldn't get my thoughts straight because of Salamander borrowing my umbrella. I hope that event could give us a good start with each other.
Jumping in my bed, I cuddled my pillow and I felt a bit excited, curious. I wonder how things'll change with that one thing...or maybe things won't change at all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The first day of school ended just as always like the past year, I rested at the bench near the wall, waiting for the train to arrive. Once the train arrived, I ran to the opening doors as the crowd of people came rushing down the stairs to get in the train. I went in car #2 and sat at the seat where I usually am. The seat beside the door. The train moved on and I sighed in exhaustion. This has been a really normal day, hasn't it? I sat there, as calm as I was. It's
The train, then, paused to it's next stop and the doors opened and I instantly saw the new student in our class....Lucy Heartfilia. Her eyes suddenly noticed mine and turned to look at me. With that happening, I instantly looked away, blushing. W-Wait! Blushing?? No way...
I tried my best not to look at her from time to time, and I succeeded, but I can't stay like this. For one time, I suddenly stared at her looking out the window. Her brown eyes glowed from the light reflected from the glass window and her blonde hair was shiny and straight. To my dismay, her stop arrived and she left the train, going home.
I felt like she was looking at me for a few times...no that can't be possible. Unless she knows me. Someone like her isn't looking at someone just because they've exchanged looks for a second, doesn't mean she'll keep looking. I sighed and continue on to go home.
I jumped on my bed and I lied on something that really hurt my back. I sat up and saw a picture frame. Oh...it's this...I threw the picture frame of my childhood away and never looked back at it. I sighed. What kind of hopeless joke am I? It's impossible to run from all of it...especially when I'm here. When she's here too...
I set all of those aside and went to sleep. Finally, at least there was peace to the day. I woke up the next day and I gotta say everything was still completely normal...and I don't know, but I think I'm starting to fall for Lucy again.... I mean, I tried not to, but she just keeps coming back! This is the first time in a long time we've seen each other again, I wanna talk to her again, like old times.
Maybe I'll start with a simple good morning. Yeah! That's a good start.
The next day on my way to the train station, I got in a fight with the guys on the street. Man, they're just too persistent. Luckily I got bandages in my bag, I wouldn't want people to see my wounds. Plus, it looks much more awesome with bandages.
I beat the crap out of them and continued on my way with much more time to spare. Soon after, I got in the train at car #2 and as usual the same seat again, next to the door. The guy next to me is still asleep, as always, nothing really changed everyday. Same 'ol Same 'ol.
Then at 8:07 am, the doors opened and you were there, talking with a friend. I know that I should say good morning, but the words just slipped out of my mouth as I sfroze there staring at her. I looked out the window in my hopelessness of a simple greeting and I can't do it!
Skipping the first period, I got to class in time for homeroom. Walking in the hallway, I could already hear the noise class-A is making. Class A ain't for genuises, but if consider me a genius then it's fine. Bwahahaha! Then I saw someone entered the classroom and everyone suddenly closed their damn mouths. I peeked inside.
"Why did it get quiet...?" I asked, peeking inside to see all of their jaw dropping while they stared at the teacher with long green hair that was straight from the top of her head until her shoulders and the bottom was braided.
"Hmm...Late?" She turned to me with a smile. Oh hey! It's the teacher from camp......She's gotten older.
"Probably." I replied and went inside. She turned to the crown without that freakin' smile not fading from her face.
"I'm your new teacher here. Nice to meet you!" She greeted. I sighed. WOW, SHE'S AWFULLY NICE NOW, WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT WILD COWGIRL FROM BEFORE....?
Mira suddenly stood up with her chair making a loud rattled noise. "Bisca?? Wow! You look different!" Mira exclaimed. Uh..Obviously.
"Yeah!" Said another person.
I heard her giggled at the questions. "Mira, I had to change. Don't want my daughter thinkin' I'm some kind'da thug." She smiled.
"D-Daughter?!?" They all exclaimed the word in sync. Sure, I was surprised. But Bisca's bound to get a guy someday right? She's not some kind grumpy old hag who's super strict. She's awesome!
She laughed. "Yep, that's right. I have a daughter, but let's stop at that fer' now and continue on homeroom class, shall we?"
"Yes ma'am." They all replied. I looked out the window to see a bird feeding it's babies. I wonder what it's like to have mother...I kinda miss them. Then I suddenly saw some guys doing some parkour and with that being done in the whole homeroom time, I couldn't help but watch them do all kinds of awesome stunts! I tried not to smile or laugh, it might blow my cover. She might notice I'm not listening. Then my phone vibrated in my pocket, making me face front to see if anyone noticed. I turned to Lucy and she was still listening to the teacher.
Just how the hell can she listen to the teacher for a long time?!? Today was fun, nothing out of the ordinary thought. Everyone was noisy, making all the fuss and sensei got angry. Putting out a gun, just like in camp. Then Gray handed me a little mouse trap so that when Elfman get's back I'll sneak it quickly before he sat. I did it with stealth of course. Haha. When he sat down, damn! He suddenly shouted and we all couldn't hide our laughters.
"Alright y'all!" She exclaimed, putting one foot on the teacher's table. "You bet'ah be quiet! Or else y'all be meetin' my lil' friend o'mine!" Don't want to be a thug she says...I sighed in irritation. I stared at her silver shot gun as she loaded it and was ready to shoot at any time. Same teacher as always.... All of us went quiet for a moment. She smiled. "That's what I'm talkin' 'bout." She nodded in victory as if she already won which pisses me off so much!
I stood up, smiling. "You may have a gun!" I pointed at her gun with a determine to beat her expression. I could hear some people murmuring at me, but who cares! "But we won't loose to you!"
"Hmm...." She smiled. "Is that so?" She glared at me with her death glare and she smiled sadistically. "I have an army."
"Where's your army?" I shouted.
"Here!" She shouted with her cowgirl accent. I looked at her hand and she was holding a fed ball pen. "Plus ten in the next test to whoever helps me win!" Then every sucker and nerds in the class stood up and joined her.
"Tch," I said under my breathe. "So what? I have that too!" With that being said, my gang stood up and were somehow equal to the other side in based of numbers.
I thought we were equal when she suddenly let out her daughter and let her join. Doesn't want her daughter to think she's a thug she says....hahahaha! Good thing I watched the Avengers last night.
"You may have an army, but we've got an Erza!" I exclaimed.
"What makes you think I'll join this mess?!?" She asked angrily. That question made me think and suddenly something undeniable popped in my mind that even Titania herself couldn't decline.
"We have cake!" Then with her eyes clouded with desire on winning, she stood up running to our side with a burning passion for her beloved cake.
"We have a Mira!!" She shouted back, but I have nothing to fear. Erza is with us! Then she didn't refuse! W-what?? Just like that?? Then I should've picked both! She smiled in fron of the whole class, beside Bisca.
"I can't deny a plus ten." Then I already thought my team was enough. Then I saw the little girl, oh the honor student was running out the door as if there was no tomorrow.
Yes! This time I'm'ma win for sure! Both teams stared intently at each other, waiting for someone to attack first. This is serious, who ever attacks first and fails will loose the whole battle in a blink of an eye. I turned to see Lucy who wasn't on anybody's team. This'll get serious, she might get hurt, I gotta...I slowly walked towards her, grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the room where it's safe.
"You stay here where it's safe..." I said, turning around. I can't believe I freakin' did that!! I felt so badass! Bwahhahahaha! Then I saw Bisca's team, glaring me at the wrong way that made me pissed of for some reason, causing me to shout something offensive.
"Damn you!! We're gonna win, old hag!!" Then suddenly someone threw a blackboard eraser at me and I quickly carried a desk and threw it back at them. "Who threw that?!?!" Then everything started! This just became freakin' sparta!! But at the end she won!! Ugh!!
Then at lunch I couldn't accept my defeat due to my high pride and once I saw her at lunch something triggered.
"Hey!" I called out to Bisca. "I want a rematch!!" I pointed at her with my index finger as everyone turned their attention to both.
With the repeated sadistic smirk again, she said. "Be my guest." Then all of the students chose who's side they'll be in, everything that happened just now in homeroom happened now....except for one thing. Try and guess? Of course we won!! Hahaha!
"Ah, the sweet smell of victory is, finally, in grasp! Hahaha!" I said in victory. "Now, where's that plus ten for the winner." She raised a red pen and gave it to me, telling me to add the plus ten a note and give it to her in proof of beating her.
Then at free time, me and the others tried to prank Elfman again, of course we got permission from Mira and she was alright with it. She even said. "This is what growing boys do anyway." And giggled it out. Do we tried it and we got scolded by a teacher. Specifically Aquarius. And so As I sum up the day, it was just a normal day like last year. Yup, juuuust a normal ordinary day. I sighed on how boring this just has been. I thought this week could be full of cool things happening, but it's as normal as any day.
Then at friday, last period, Homeroom. Bisca shot her gun at the ceiling making it drop in front of her and yeah, nothing out of the ordinary. Then the school song played and the week os finally over! I kinda stayed for a while in school chillin' I don't want to go home just yet...I bet once I get there, Wendy's just going to scold me non-stop for some sudden unknown reason! So, I rather stay here.
Waking up from my sleep, I noticed the sky as I laid in the floor of the roof deck. It's dark. Oh crap! It might rain hard soon, I better get home! I walked down the stairs and as I arrived at the door of the building, the rain suddenly poured heavily down onto the ground.
"Tch." I looked up and it looks like it's going to take a long time before this beats down. I scratched my head, thinking of what to do. I don't bring umbrellas, I mean, before i thought it was useless because it hardly rains here, but now??? Really??
Then I heard steps from the my left and then I heard a soft voice, melodic and my first thought of it was like it was a voice of an angel.
"Y-You can use this if you want." She told me, eyes not looking at me and her face obviously blushing. I was too surprised to speak and blurted out a simple.
"T-Thank you." I replied and she ran to her friend and they shared an umbrella. I stared at her umbrella with a star key chain hung on it. I wish we could get along starting from now on, Lucy Heartfilia....
