*Jay Pov*

I felt her stirring in my arms and thought she would try to untangle herself from me like every time. However, she snuggled more holding me back tightly.

"Good morning!" I whispered, pressing my lips to her cheek and saw her grinning with eyes still closed.

"Good morning!" she mumbled and slowly sat up to make a bun of her hair while I stared at her lazily.

"I took my first leave yesterday." She said sighing.

"And?" I asked, trailing my finger on her back.

"I don't want to go today, but I have to." She replied, turning her head to glance at me.

"Just two more days and it's the weekend." I said, assuring her with grin to which she glared at me.

"Fine! I will go and get ready." She said and was about to move away, but I held her hand and pulled her onto me with a force.

"Today I will drop you both and will pick you up. We will go somewhere." I said, smiling, but she shook her head.

"We will come here soon and no need to go out." She said and I nodded liking her idea more.

"I will get her inside." Saying that Jhanvi moved to get down but I got myself down too.

"I will not run away with your daughter." She said pointedly and I shook my head but smiled hearing her words.

"Of course! Otherwise, I will follow you." I said, shrugging and we three walked to the gate where other kids are coming but I stilled looking at Kalpana and Sudhir.

"He is studying the same school. I forgot to mention about it." Jhanvi said following my gaze.

"Okay!" I said and saw Kalpana walking towards us holding Sudhir's hand while he is reluctant.

"Sudhir!" Lakshmi said, smiling at him and he smiled back at her.

"Jhanvi! I am very happy that everything got settled." Kalpana said, hugging her and then held my hand.

I nodded, but glanced at Sudhir to see him looking elsewhere. I knelt on the ground before him and held his hands.

"I am sorry, Sudhir!" I said and he glanced at me before nodding slowly.

"We will go!" saying that he held Lakshmi's hand and walked away while I stood up.

"Give him some time." Kalpana said with a awkward smile and I nodded before glancing at Jhanvi to see her giving me an encouraging smile.

Later I reached my office after dropping off Jhanvi and saw my manager's worried expression. I gestured him to follow me and sat in my chair.

"What is it?" I asked him frowning.

"Sir! Yesterday evening I have sent my assistant like you asked to in the call. He met the architecture and informed to sell the property to someone else. But she lashed at him, Sir." He replied.

"Why? Didn't he tell her any loss they may receive will be paid by me?" I asked him not understanding.

"He did, Sir! But she was more angry that you are not going to take the place it seems." He replied.

"What nonsense? Connect the call to her." I said and he nodded before doing it while I frowned thinking what could be her problem.

"Hello! I am Jay and I want to talk to you about the house..." before I could finish she started talking cutting me off.

"Mr.Jay! How could you reject the house?" she asked with an anger tone.

"Miss! I am not shifting there and I do not need any house. You can sell it to anyone and I will bear any losses." I replied and she snorted.

"I don't care about that money. You caused me another big loss." She mumbled and I frowned.

"Look, I want you to be here and check the house. Reject it if you don't like it." She said and I sighed.

"I am not going to come to that city and you can discuss the details to the person you met today. Now, if you excuse me, I have work to do." I said and hung up shaking my head.

"Why had we even chosen this lady? Anyway, let your assistant deal and ask him to return after she settles or just come off. Let's deal legally if she causes any problem." I added and the manager nodded before walking away.

"Not bad! You are on time." She said smiling, walking out of the hospital.

"What can I say? I am scared of my wife." I said, shrugging and she scowled before pushing me aside, sat in the passenger seat.

"Crazy woman!" Jhanvi said when I explained her what happened.

"Maybe she fell in love with you and is now with a broken heart that you are not coming there." She added after a few minutes and I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Everyone doesn't fall in love with me, Jhanvi. You are mad to do it." I said and she raised her eyebrow.

"What about my doctor? And all those women?" she asked and I sighed.

"I don't know! And I don't care anymore because I am taken." I replied, shrugging and she looked away, but I got a glimpse of her blush.

"Hi!" I said, looking at Kalpana and Manohar who is waiting for Sudhir and seems like we all reached early.

I glanced at Manohar and cleared my throat saying, "I need to talk to you."

"Sure!" he said, folding his arms, making me roll my eyes.

"Well, it is better if you take over the company soon. We will be leaving the house too. So, when shall I call board of members for the takeover?" I asked and felt Jhanvi holding my hand.

"I actually do not get any of it as I still didn't adopt Sudhir legally and you have Lakshmi legally adopted. So, as per will you get everything." He replied shrugging.

"But I don't want them and do not have any wish to look after them." I said frowning.

"It doesn't matter to me." He said and I frowned at him.

"Look, take it as a payment from her for everything she did." I offered and he sighed.

"If she hadn't done all that then this woman wouldn't have been beside me today. So, I don't want anything else." He said stubbornly.

"Guys! Why don't we stop this discussion and have it today over dinner?" Jhanvi asked and I glanced at her frowning.

"Come to our house and bring Sudhir too." She added before squeezing my hand.

"Fine!" Kalpana said before Manohar can protest.

"What is the need for it?" I asked her the moment we walked inside and broke the silence which was present while driving to the home.

"I will go and prepare food while you sit here to think any other way by which both of you can be satisfied. Do not forget the lives of many people involved with the company." Saying that she walked away.

"Open the door, Jay!" Jhanvi shouted while I was still thinking buttoning my shirt.

"Okay! You are here only and no need to shout." I said, staring at her and walked out of our room to open it.

"Come inside!" I said inviting them and made them sit on the couch.

"Sudhir! Lakshmi is inside her room. Do you want to go there?" I asked him.

"Sure!" he replied after glancing at his Mom and walked off, but I followed him making sure Lakshmi is not playing with some dolls.

"She is really interested in drawing." I said when we saw her drawing on the papers.

"I will teach her. Amrin Aunty taught me a few when I was with them." He said smiling at Lakshmi.

"Amrin Aunty?" I asked him frowning.

"Nipuna Aunty's sister-in-law." He replied and I frowned more.

"Nipuna Aunty?" I asked and he finally glanced at me.

"Mom's cousin!" he replied and I sighed.

"Okay! We will call you both when we will have dinner." I said and he nodded but held my hand.

"Don't make Jhanvi Aunty cry." He said in a whisper.

"Never!" I replied, holding his hand back and he smiled a little while I caressed his hair before he walked off near Lakshmi.

"Before any other discussion, I will say what I think of the situation." I said sitting before the three.

"You are his son and this is his property. So, the rightful heir is you." I stated and he sighed.

"But I don't want to be his son." He pointed out.

"Fine! How about a partnership?" I asked, coming to my other thought.

"With you?" he asked frowning.

"No need to be involved personally. The company needs a proper one and we both can share that. We can share property equally too." I replied and he just sat in silence.

"Fine! But only professional." He added and I shrugged.

"I wish for the advocate to be removed. When you have time, talk to him yourself and we will think about the final decision." I said and he nodded.

"I will go tomorrow." He said and I nodded back, after which silence surrounded all of us.

"Why don't we have dinner?" Jhanvi asked standing up.

"I will help you." Saying that Kalpana followed her.

"I will go and call the kids." I said, standing up but Manohar followed me.

We both stood near the door to see both of playing in silence, but seems like they are having some type of communication too.

"She talks very little." I said pointing her.

"Same with Sudhir." He said and I smiled at them.

"Look, I want Sudhir to be her brother. I know you don't like me and I am fine with it. But, I want as many people as there to be there whenever someone hurts her." I said before glancing at Manohar.

"I am more than fine with it. And I want Sudhir to have someone else as sibling." He said nodding.

"But this is all that I can promise. I will not spare anything you do to hurt any one of them." He added.

"Likewise!" I stated before calling the kids and we all had a pleasant dinner.

"Actually, she was angry because it was her first house. She finally calmed down when her husband reached the office while we were discussing. Everything is settled and she doesn't want any settlement from you." My manager's assistant said the next day evening.

"Okay!" I said, nodding and continued with my work before I got the call of the old lawyer being removed completely.

"On Monday we will have board of meeting and then will form the contract for the partnership." I said when he called to inform about it and he accepted before hanging up.

I leaned back feeling everything settled. Within the next few days, we purchased the new house with Jhanvi's selection and sold the old one when the contract is made.

The board of members is more than happy with the situation as Manohar is well known business man and they are already happy with my new company.

We are connected with only the old one and nothing else. But Lakshmi and Sudhir are really like siblings now within a few days.

"You look happy!" Jhanvi said while I played with her hair and we both were lying on the couch watching a movie.

"I am!" I said pressing a kiss to her forehead before hugging her more tightly and continued to watch the movie with a smile of content.
