*Jhanvi Pov*

"Hey! The meeting took too long. Just give me two minutes to freshen up." He said after walking inside the house.

"It's okay!" I said, smiling and continued to feed Lakshmi.

"Where are my clothes, Jhanvi?" he asked after a few minutes and I glanced up to see him frowning with confusion.

"We decided to shift to a single room and I thought it was better to be beside Lakshmi's room if she needs anything for a few weeks at least. So, I shifted your clothes to my room." I replied smiling.

"Okay! Then I will use your washroom only." He said shrugging and walked inside my room and I shook my head before removing Lakshmi's plate while she cleaned her mouth.

"Sleepy?" I asked, staring at her and she nodded yawning.

I smiled, thinking the way she kept on helping me today with each and every work I was doing. After all that if she is not tired then it would have been a surprise.

"She slept off?" I heard his voice the moment I walked out of her room and nodded before we both walked to the dining room.

"How was the meeting?" I asked him and he calmly explained everything.

"You got a new lawyer?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yes! And the shareholders seems to like him too. I just want that previous one to leave and hope Manohar comes soon and remove him." He replied shaking his head.

"Manohar?" I asked him frowning.

"Yeah! According to my father's will, who will have a child first will get that company and all properties along with this house. That was why my mother played all that." He replied shrugging.

"But you worked for that company all these years right?" I asked him and he smiled.

"It's not that big thing. That is the reason I started the new one with my own money and will be a caretaker for the old one until he comes and takeover." He replied smiling.

"And you are the one who got a child first, right?" I asked him more confused but immediately regretted seeing his expression.

"I am sorry!" I added, but he shook his head.

"It's fine! I actually accepted her terms to give away all my rights on Sudhir before he was born. I am sure Manohar adopted him, which makes him the first person to have a child." He explained.

"But if he didn't, then you got a child adopted right?" I asked while clearing the dishes and returned to see him leaving the dining area to reach my... our room.

"Well?" I asked entering it to see him standing near the window and I walked near to him.

"I didn't do any of it for all this." He said turning around and I gave him a surprised look.

"I didn't say that." I said, smiling, but he circled his arms around me before pulling me to him with a serious expression.

"I... I hate all of this. I hated this house all these days, but now I am feeling good. However, it is not because of the house, but because of you both. It will be better at some other place. So, I will try my best to lose all these but will not do anything to keep them to myself." He stressed and I smiled more.

"I never thought of that. I mean, who does something like getting a kid for property?" I asked and snorted while he gave a smile but I can see his disturbed look.

"Now, I want to say something to you." I said changing the topic.

"You were really helpful yesterday. I would have broken down if you were not there near me." I added in a serious tone.

"I still think you should have kept him with us." He said, frowning pulling me more to him not leaving ay space.

"I wish! But if he stays, then I will be in a jail along with you. Then who will look after Lakshmi?" I asked and he frowned more.

"I don't get it! You are his mother and if he stays with you then what will happen?" he asked and I sighed, placing my head on my heartbeat not wishing to think about it but slowly explained.

"I already explained the rules of that kingdom, right? It is also a rule that the kid should stay with the father and if it is royal family then it is for sure. Still, I fought to take Harsha with me and the kingdom council heard my words. However, they wanted to make sure I am not taking my kid away from his wishes. So, Harsha was brought before him to say with whom he would wish to stay. I was so confident he would choose me. I mean he knows me so much more than a person he knows for a few weeks, right? But he chose Ali and the council gave the rights away to Ali. Once they give an order, it is like written on the stone. And the main person is Ali's father so made sure no loopholes were there. He made sure Ali and I know everything if anything happens against all that. Now, if you don't want to spend nine years in jail then he has to be there. He likes it too, and that is the only matter that is giving me some peace." I explained completely.

"Had to go through so much, right?" he asked, pressing a kiss to my head and I smiled.

"You know why nine years? Because he will be major by that time and he can stay anywhere he wishes to." I replied and he chuckled.

"Have to wait for holidays and summer then." He said and I nodded, moving my head away to stare at him.

"Yeah!" I said, giving a sad smile.

"Don't be sad! Lakshmi is here and... I am here." He said moving his fingers over my cheek.

"I know!" I mumbled moving my head to kiss his fingers.

"I don't want to lose you both ever." He said suddenly holding my face with a serious expression.

"Okay!" I simply said, circling my hands around his neck and pressed my lips to his.

"Okay!" he repeated and I smiled over his lips.

I was about to move away, but he placed his hand behind my neck and kissed me more. I clutched to him when he continued to pester kisses along my jaw and neck.

"Jhanvi!" he whispered on my throat.

"Hmm!" I mumbled, but felt drowsy.

"Are we moving fast?" he asked, lifting my kurtha up still trailing his lips on my skin.

"I don't know! What do you think?" I asked back and he chuckled, moving a little to remove it completely.

"I too don't know." He replied, staring at me and I gave a nervous smile before moving to lift his shirt and removed it.

"Then, let us assume." I mumbled and he immediately lifted me up before walking to the bed.

"I just... I just don't want you to have any regrets or any awkwardness between us." He said laying over me.

"I will not!" I said, assuring me and he smiled before kissing me while I held him to myself.

"I think, I should start looking for job." I suddenly said and his fingers stopped caressing my back.

"Why?" he asked and I lifted my head from his chest to see his frowning face.

"I am feeling bored and it is good to take care of people, right?" I asked back.

"I don't want you to work too much and get tired. And I have seen you not taking enough rest too." He replied still frowning.

"That can be changed. Lakshmi needs to start pre-school and she is already late. So, now that the schools are opening, we will join her and I will try to get work during that time only." I said, smiling, but if it possible for him to frown more then he is doing that.

"Why do you both need to leave the house at all?" he asked like he couldn't understand.

"My dear husband, please remove that fear that we are leaving you. This is life and it goes like this." I replied, moving to sit on him while he continued with his worried expression.

"And she will talk more if she sees other kids her age doing it." I added and he sighed pushing my hair behind my ear.

"Fine! Then in the evening I want you both in the house. And if there is anything about transport let me know." And he continued so much.

"You are a good father. Do you know that?" I asked, holding his face.

"Really?" he asked, smiling and I nodded before laying over him with a smile.

Who would have thought that I will feel this happy again? Not me! But seems like anything is possible.

Even thought reluctantly, he found a very nice school for her. And seems like I got a very good luck, because I got the job and too at the timings I wish for.

"How much time will you take?" Jay asked, standing near the door.

"Well, you just came and demanded we will go out. I just got her ready and getting ready myself." I replied, shrugging before arranging the Saree I bought a few days back.

After he told me he likes them, I started buying them in between even thought I don't wear them regularly, but during these special occasions I am wearing them.

"Ready!" I said and turned around only to see his hands drop from his chest.

"Why don't we stay back?" he asked and I rolled my eyes walking near to him.

"You will break Lakshmi's heart?" I asked with a shocked expression.

"I will see about you after returning." He replied in a warning tone, but I shrugged and walked out to call Lakshmi.

"I am feeling sleepy." I said the moment we both entered the room after Lakshmi slept off.

I turned back to see his shocked expression while I tried to control my laugh. He finally narrowed his eyes understanding that I am joking and then smirked.

I glanced at him warily and he innocently asked, "Why don't I get you ready for bed?"

"Okay!" I said, shrugging and he laughed, pulling me to him.

I smiled, walking along the corridors, but suddenly hit someone. I cursed myself in my head for being this lost thinking about yesterday.

"I am so sorry!" I said, picking up the file with a smile and glanced up only to freeze.

"Jhanvi? Jhanvi?" She continued to say and then hugged me.

"Oh my god! You are here in India? Why didn't you call me Idiot? And what are you doing here?" she asked moving back.

"You?" I asked back.

"Sudhir got a slight fever and Manohar brought down the whole house. So, we brought him to the hospital and it turns out to be normal fever. Anyway, you know how he is always going to extremes." She replied shaking her head.

"I know I am babbling. But what can I do? This Manohar doesn't talk much and I got this habit of talking too much." She added and I remembered something.

Jay talks too much to be normal too. Does he do that because I don't talk much generally? I thought, frowning, but glanced to my side when another nurse asked me to come face as a doctor is asking for us.

"I will talk to you later, Kalpana." I said, giving a smile and rushed off.

I know I should have talked to you and I missed doing it. But now with every word, I have to blurt out Jay and I know you will hate me if you get to know about everything.

I thought like this when I just married him, but now I just couldn't bear to hear anything else bad. And also anyone saying I made a mistake when I feel it is not.

Oh no! I am getting late. I rushed out of the hospital when there are just a few minutes for Lakshmi's school to finish.

"Jhanvi!" I heard a voice and glanced to my right to see Manohar, Kalpana and Sudhir.

"Oh!" I mumbled and glanced at watch.

"You are in a hurry?" Kalpana asked frowning.

"Yes! They will leave children within a few minutes." I replied and she immediately dragged me to their car.

"We will take you." She said but I was shaking my head.

"No! I can go there." I said, but she is already opening the door and made me sit inside.

"What are you still doing here?" I calmly asked.

"Do you really think I will leave from here after finally meeting you, Jhanvi? I missed you and even Pallavi. Even Manohar missed you." She replied and he gave a smile to me.

"But Sudhir is ill and you should have taken him home." I said giving him a hug.

"Which school?" Manohar asked and I gave to which they gave a surprised look.

"Even Sudhir is studying there." Kalpana replied.

"But he was not feeling well, so he didn't start. He will be more happy now to have Harsha with him in school." She added while I slumped in my place feeling lost.

We all got down and I looked around with a frown, but finally smiled, looking at Lakshmi standing near the guard like I asked her to if I get late.

"Where is Harsha?" Kalpana asked frowning.

"One second!" I mumbled and walked near to Lakshmi.

She immediately walked near to me and I lifted her up kissing her cheek before walking back towards three shocking faces.

"Meet my daughter Lakshmi." I said, smiling at them.

"Where is Harsha?" Kalpana asked with a frown, but smiled at Lakshmi caressing her cheek.

"She is so cute." She added when Lakshmi hid her face in my neck.

"There is a long story." I said, giving an awkward smile.

"We have long time." She said with a frown understanding I am hiding too much.

"Kalpana!" Manohar said, placing his hand on her shoulder.

"You don't talk, Manohar. I thought she was not calling me because she was some place where it is difficult and is busy. But then she is here and showing a little girl as her daughter with Harsha no where to be seen and where the hell is that stupid person?" she asked and I hugged Lakshmi tightly.

"Don't shout before her." I said in a serious tone and she gave a surprised look making me close my eyes.

"I need to go." I added moving, but but she held my hand.

"We will drop you." She said in a stern tone and again got me inside their car again.

"Give me the address." Manohar asked in a calm tone.

However, I just made him drive while saying 'left' or 'right' but not direct address and I can see both of them tensing when we reached the same line and they stilled when I asked them to stop before the house.

"I will park and come." He said while I got down along with Kalpana and Sudhir.

"Why are you here? Did Ali buy this house?" she asked and I ignored her walking inside with them following me.

What should I do? I thought wringing my hands, but sighed in relief thinking he will not be here for a few hours.

He said there is a meeting with the shareholders and it may drag too much as they always have some problem with him and he has to explain everything.

"You all sit and I will just get her a little freshen up. She always feels irritated if she stays in her school dress." I said and walked inside Lakshmi's room after they three sat.

"Here!" I said, returning and brought water for three of them.

"Will you drink tea or coffee?" I asked, giving them a smile while Sudhir slept off on his mom's lap.

"How about where is Harsha?" Kalpana asked.

"He is with Ali." I replied.

"Where is Ali?" Kalpana asked sighing.

"Not here!" I offered and she gave a frustrated sigh.

"Jhanvi! I am getting more scared for you. What happened?" she asked in a pleading tone.

I was about to open my mouth, but then the bell rang. My eyes widened while they both stared at me.

"Open the door." Manohar said with a frown.

"Right!" I mumbled and walked towards the door, praying it is not Jay.

But seems like my recent luck went for a holiday because the moment I opened the door it is Jay with a frown.

"Where is the maid?" he asked frowning.

"I gave her leave today as she asked for it." I replied in a whisper.

"That explains the locked door. If she is not here, you lock the door like this only." He said and I nodded after which he smiled.

"You are early." I pointed out again in whisper.

"Do you know how happy I am today? They were so happy with the company." He said, stepping in and I stepped back.

"Where is Lakshmi?" he asked still stepping near to me.

"In her room!" I replied and was about to turn around to show him the guests we have today.

"You are my lucky charm, Jhanvi." He said suddenly pulling me to him and gave a long kiss but we both broke off hearing a gasp.

"You said she is in her room." He mumbled releasing me with a frown and turned towards the place from where we heard the gasp only to freeze still holding me while I wish I can hide myself hugging him to miss the coming up confrontations.
