*Jay Pov*

"Thank you!" I said, shaking his hand and he nodded, smiling before I walked out of their office.

"Sir! The board members are waiting for you." My manager said the moment I walked inside my office room.

"You know, I think you deserve a raise." I said, taking out the file I need.

"But sir..." he trailed off in shock.

"I didn't even appoint a PA and you are doing all the work. I am sure I was able to do all this because of you." I said smiling at him.

"Thank you, Sir!" he said with a happy tone and I smiled feeling happy myself.

"Now, let's meet those wolves." I said, making him laugh and we both walked towards the board room.

"Gentlemen!" I said, nodding at all of them before taking my place.

"Mr.Jay! We are really happy with the progress of the company. Even though it started on a rocky ground, we can see a great potential in the future." One of them started while I felt shock inside but plastered a blank look.

"However, it came to our notice that there was a small glitch." Another said making me groan inside.

"And that is?" I asked, leaning back.

"We found out that there is no pre-nuptial agreement with your wife. That is not a good sense of a business man." He replied and I glanced at my lawyer to see him nodding at them.

"I know, it is important to have that. But you see my wife is a very nice person and she would never take advantage. However, we have our own agreement which we haven't thought important to show to the company advocate." I said glancing at the lawyer to see him stiffen.

"And I am glad we met today because I have a few changes to present. I have decided to change my company's advocate." I added and immediately many showed their opposition for it.

"It is my decision and it should be unless there are any problems with the new one. I feel I should be comfortable with my advocate and trust him. Now, as I can't do it, I have a right. And his contract even finished last week itself." I said standing up.

"Fine! We hope you know what you are doing." An old man said and I nodded smiling.

"By the way, I would like to share that I am officially a father of my little girl with final clearance. So, please accept my treat." I said and they all congratulated before I called for the snacks.

"Mr.Jay! Why are you removing me?" my lawyer asked following me out of the board room.

"You should ask yourself before reaching them regarding anything without talking to me. They are board of members, but this is my company. You shouldn't have forgotten it. You can continue for the older company along with my new one if you wish until Mr.Manohar comes and takes it." I replied walking away along with my manager.

"That was a nice one, Sir." He said and I smiled at him.

"I was in a good mood from the morning and he spoiled it. Anyway, now that wolves got calmed down. Let's finish today's work as I have to go home." I said and stilled holding the handle of my cabin door.

Home? When was the last time I thought that place like that? Never! After Kalpana leaving that place, I never thought about it that much, but after the truth, I felt bad about that place. Now, it is home again? I thought, feeling nice and walked inside the cabin.

"Jhanvi! Jhanvi!" I continued to shout entering inside the home holding the covers in my hand.

"Will you stop it? What earthquake came for you to shout like that?" Jhanvi asked, walking out of the kitchen holding the spatula while Lakshmi walked beside her holding her old doll.

"Well, it is kind of like that." I said grinning at them.

"What is it, Jay?" she asked with a bored expression.

"Fine! If you are feeling that bored, then I will share it with my daughter." I said, calling Lakshmi near to me and she walked smiling.

I knelt before her smiling and hugged her before moving back. She smiled, but squinted her eyes in confusion mumbling, 'Paa!'.

"Today onwards no one can take you away from us. You are completely ours without any rules." I said and immediately heard Jhanvi shout, 'What?'.

"What earthquake came for you to shout like that?" I threw the words at her back while she rushed towards us.

"Are you serious? They gave clearance?" she asked, grinning and I nodded before taking out the letter.

"Oh my god!" she said in a whisper reading it before kneeling beside me to hug Lakshmi tightly.

I sniffed and asked, "What is burning?"

"Oh no!" she whispered in horror standing up before rushing to the kitchen while I walked behind her lifting up Lakshmi in my arms.

"It's ruined! Now, I have to cook again." She said, placing the bowl aside.

"It's okay!" I said, placing a hand on her shoulder, but she turned back with a glare.

"This is because of you." She said, shaking her head.

"Really? Fine! Why don't I fix it, then?" I asked smiling.

"You will cook?" she asked and I shook my head in negative.

"We can go out and it was postponed for long I guess." I replied, pointing out our planned outing all those weeks back but had to cancel for her to meet Ali and Harsha.

"Yeah!" she mumbled and gave a guilty look, but I smiled kissing her forehead.

"Go and get ready, both of you." I said and we three walked out of the kitchen making me realize the covers.

"Hey! I bought something for both of you." I said, walking to the covers and opened them before giving Jhanvi one while opening one for Lakshmi.

"Liked it?" I asked showing the dress and she nodded smiling.

"Like it!" she replied and kissed my cheek.

"Saree?" Jhanvi asked, opening hers.

"Yeah! I mean, I know you wear normal dresses, but only white saree for work. So, I thought you may like this." I replied scratching my neck.

"I am not that used to wearing them except for work. So, thank you!" she said, smiling and I smiled gesturing my cheek.

She narrowed her eyes, but moved near before pressing her lips to my cheek and was about to move away, but I passed my hand behind her neck holding it and pulled her pressing my lips to hers.

"You said cheek." She said, giving a slight push but I shrugged grinning.

"Go and get ready, but don't take too much time." I said in a warning tone, but they both just smiled before walking away.

I smiled at their backs and climbed the stairs to reach my room so that even I can get ready. I couldn't remove the smile from my face from the past few days when she said to give this marriage a chance.

"Sure!" I said, smiling at Lakshmi.

"You are spoiling her." Jhanvi said, staring at me and I stared back smiling.

She is looking amazing in that Saree and I just couldn't tell her that when I climbed down to see both of them ready with stern expressions saying I was late.

"That is my job." I said, shrugging while she rolled her eyes.

"Even you can have ice cream. I will not stop you." I offered and she gave a thoughtful expression before nodding with a cheeky grin.

"So, how was it? Enjoyed?" I asked her when she walked out of Lakshmi's room when she finally slept off.

"Completely! I am so happy that there is no threat of her being taken away." She replied walking near to me and hugged me.

"I know! Even I was worried because I never had any experience of taking care of a kid." I said and she tightened her grip before stepping away.

"Good night!" she whispered, kissing my cheek and started walking away, but I circled my hand around her waist before pulling her back to me holding her from behind.

"By the way, you are looking beautiful." I whispered in her ear.

"Very fast, Jay!" she said in a mocking tone, but gave a jerk of her head feeling my breath.

"What can I say? I got dumbstruck looking at you and it took this much time to get the words out." I said in an honest tone and she pushed her elbow to my abdomen and I released her.

She continued to walk towards her room and I followed her smiling. She stopped near the door frame before turning around with a thoughtful expression.

"Maybe because it is your selection." She said shrugging.

"Really?" I asked her with a thoughtful expression copying her.

"Then let's find out." I suddenly said and she frowned at me.

"What?" she asked while I gave her a smirk.

"Let's find out whether it is because of the saree or not." I replied, stepping near to her while she stepped back.

"How?" she asked, but gave a nervous look.

"Let's remove it!" I replied, shrugging and her eyes widened before moving away with a screech but I rushed behind her.

"Jay! Don't do this." She said laughing, but I shook my head and we ended up running around the bed before I finally caught her after getting on the bed from the other side.

"Jay!" she screamed when I pulled her onto the bed, but we both fell down on it with her over me.

"Ow!" I screamed when her head hit my chin and her elbows on my stomach.

"You deserve it!" she said, laughing and I laughed along with her before holding her with my arms around her.

We both just laid there staring at the ceiling in silence while I caressed her bare waist with her saree moving away.

"Jay!" she whispered, but I pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"Are you attracted to me physically?" she asked and I felt shock hearing her question.

"What do you think?" I asked squeezing her waist making her gasp.

"But... but I read about you in gossip columns. The women you were with are all models and all." She replied in a calm tone and I immediately turned her around to make her look at me.

"I didn't sleep with all the women that were shown, Jhanvi. Yes! I was shown as a typical man whore but I was not that worse. Yes! I had mistresses, but that is my one of the regret. Because I know I disrespected them by having something with them without feeling anything. That is the worst thing any man can do and I wish I can go and apologize no matter how some were and their intentions. I regret that life and I know I can't hide behind saying I was hurt and it was my reaction and all. However, I promised myself that I will never touch another woman unless I feel to with my whole heart. I even promised to myself that I will not let any lust involve in it." I said staring at her without blinking.

"You want me with your whole heart?" she asked and I smiled.

"You don't know how much." I replied and made her head fall back before closing my eyes.

"Then why are you sleeping?" she asked and I opened my eyes to see her frowning at me.

"We just started our life and I know you need time." I replied and she smiled, moving her near to me before pressing her lips to mine.

But I didn't let that be a normal pecks we are sharing these days and nibbled her lips making her open them before thrusting my tongue into her mouth, but then stilled thinking she doesn't want it but she kissed back making me continue it.

"Can I?" I whispered, still kissing placing my hand on the safety pin near her shoulder.

"Hmm!" she made a sound, but nodded and I immediately removed it before tugging the saree.

I moved back a little and lifted my head supporting with my hand to stare at her while she is still lost with our kiss.

"I was right! Without the saree you are more beautiful." Hearing my words, her eyes widened and she immediately hit my shoulder but I laughed pulling her to my arms.

After a few minutes, she drifted off into sleep and I followed her with a smile on my face feeling the happiness inside which is growing more and more with each day.

"Jay!" Jhanvi whispered and I opened my eyes to see her staring at me.

"What?" I asked moving my hand only to feel it struck making me realize her head is lying on it.

"You will get late for office." She replied and I immediately looked around to see it is her room.

I opened my mouth but she immediately covered it with her hand shaking her head. She calmly whispered, "Don't say sorry! It is not a big deal."

"Even better, why don't we shift to one room." She added while I glanced at her with wide eyes.

"What?" I asked and she nodded smiling.

"Yeah! We are working on it, then why this separate rooms." She replied.

"Sometimes, you really surprise me, Jhanvi." I said and she shrugged.

"Fine!" I added and we both moved away to start the day, but I couldn't help but stare at her while she is making a knot of her hair.

"You know, you are looking more beautiful now." I said and she shook her head.

"Go and get ready, husband." She said, waving me off and I laughed walking away.

"Yes?" I said, lifting my phone when I was checking the file.

"Jay! Ali just called me and said they are here in the city for the last time as from next week Harsha's school starts." She replied in a sad tone.

"Go and meet them, Jhanvi." I said, feeling sad for her.

"You don't mind?" she asked in a surprised tone.

"No! But don't be sad." I replied and she accepted before hanging up.

"Shh... don't cry!" I said, holding her while she cried.

"They are leaving tomorrow morning." She said crying more.

"He said he will come for holidays, right? Why don't you keep him with you? What is the need for him to go?" I suddenly asked.

"I will explain to you when I will feel better." She replied and I nodded rubbing her back.

"Go to the airport tomorrow." I advised.

"You too come." She requested and I nodded.

"Bye, Uncle!" Harsha suddenly said, walking near to me and forwarded his hand.

"Bye! Take care of yourself and don't forget you can always come here." I said and he nodded with a small smile.

"Take care of Mom and Lakshmi." He said and I nodded back.

After some time when Jhanvi was finally about to break out in tears, they moved away to get into their private plane. I held her with my arm around her shoulder while Lakshmi is crying who is in my arms.
