Sadness and Pain

Third Person P. O.V.

Sadness.

Pain.

Kakashi Hatake kept his heart closed off from those around him, seeming as if he had never felt anything at all; he had. He had feelings once, when he was very young, which seemed like an eternity ago.

He ripped out every emotion he had that would get him killed, or make him end up like his father; it was the shinobi thing to do.

He could barely remember what his mom looked like, but he could always hear her voice in the back of his mind, telling him she loved him.

His father had committed suicide when he was younger as well, forcing him to close off feelings that would only hurt him more than it did good.

Kakashi lived alone and closed out from the world of emotions, trying to avoid anything that would spark emotions stronger than hate. Hate was the one thing that would push him to achieve more, to become a great shinobi.

He was reluctant to join Minato's team when he saw Obito would be there, and the Uchiha boy wanted to get to Kakashi. Not in a bad way, but in a way that showed he wanted friendship. Rin respected Kakashi's space and did not bother as much.

When Menma showed up, he could feel his emotions stir as they once did long ago when he found his father on the floor, bleeding, and dead.

"What is this feeling?" Kakashi asked as he sat on his bed.

He could remember how Menma leaned closer to him just to say his parents died as well. There was Sadness and sincerity in his words, as well as empathy.

His teammates were scared a bit when a lone tear dripped onto his cheek as he ran from them. Nobody knew what Menma said to him to cause such a strong emotion, and nobody dared to ask just yet.

All the Hatake could think was why that man would say such a thing, and how did he even know that Kakashi's parents died? Could this man know more then he should? Kakashi gritted his teeth as he thought of the fact that an invasion could happen because of the boy.

Then again Menma must understand what it is like to not have parents in his life.

"You made me feel" Kakashi said aloud, bluntly.

He thought of the little emotion that flickered in his heart. It was an emotion he hadn't felt since his father had been alive, and not even then. It was the emotion of compassion.

Kakashi shook off the thought of having compassion for Menma.

The silver haired boy got up from his bed and walked over to his fridge. He needed something to take his mind off of that stupid Menma.

Kakashi opened up the fridge and searched for a small snack to get his mind off of his thoughts. An apple caught his attention and he grabbed it. His mind wandered back to his emotions. Emotions that had ruined his life by taking his father away from him. Emotions that killed those who didn't deserve to die.

Emotions killed.

"Such emotions will get me killed, you know this" Kakashi reminded himself, scolding himself as well.

His father was deemed scum for caring for his teammates enough that he threw the mission for them. Hatred sparked in him that his father would be stupid enough to risk the mission for the sake of his comrades.

A true shinobi would carry on his mission and leave his teammates to die. It was necessary for the mission to be successful.

Kakashi finished off his apple as he thought of the Menma. He would need to tell Hiruzen about how Menma told him about his parents. He would get Menma out of this village before he causes trouble and destroys the thing his father wanted to protect.

A small heat started to fill his heart, and Kakashi couldn't help but wonder if that was coming from Menma. No, he harbored no feelings for him. He had no feelings for anyone that was more than feelings for a comrade, and not even then.

"I hate you!" Kakashi yelled, both at Menma and his Father. He grabbed his kunai pouch and rushed for his door. He needed to get this man off of his mind.

He wondered how the hell he had known this man for less than 5 hours and he had already got messed up because of it. The wind whipped around him as he jumped from roof to roof. He could see his comrades from the academy, some even tried to talk to him as they had heard about Menma from Rin and Obito.

This angered him that others knew he had shown some type of emotion because of Menma that was bipolar and weird. Even Rin tried to catch his attention from wherever he was going. He had ignored her, and even got angry as Obito joined in.

He finally snapped on them and yelled for them so he could be alone.

"I just need to clear my head..." he whispered

"Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, who is the most handsomest of them all?" Kakashi asked as he tried to wiggle his eyebrows in a seductive way.

Naruto could only laugh at how Kakashi was trying to pose in such a Gai matter. It would be horrifying if he had on that terrible green jumpsuit, and that wide smile.

Naruto smacked Kakashi playfully on the arm as they were both at a park under Sakura trees. Kakashi laughed it off as he pulled in his blond for a quick kiss, his hands wrapping around Naruto's waist.

Soft pink lips pressed against Kakashi's bare lips, the mask gone so it wasn't in the way. People walked passed the couple, admiring how brave they were to show their love in public knowing that people would reject them. Although it was hard to hate them since they were , indeed, the ideal couple.

"Well my dear Kakashi, I am the most handsomest of them all" Naruto said playfully against Kakashi's lips. Well he wasn't truly lying because he was in fact one of the most handsome men in Konoha, seeing as ,he too, had a fan club.

It was rather annoying when his friends teased him about being more loved than Sasuke by the village, or when they told Kakashi he better watch out or someone might steal Naruto.

Kakashi pulled away from the kiss and grabbed Naruto's wrist to lead him to a special place. Naruto asked where they were going, seeing that he had loved the view of the Sakura petals. But Kakashi would reply with the same "You'll see", which ticked him off. He wanted it to be a surprise, but Naruto hated surprises now that he was much older.

"Here, take off your clothes, but keep on your boxers" Kakashi instructed once they were away from the eyes of the village.

They were near trees that had petals of many colors, and no one was around. Naruto started to slide down his pants slowly, taking his time so he could tease Kakashi. Kakashi was already ahead of the game as he too decided to rip off his pants, not caring that they were destroyed.

Naruto blushed a little as he stared at the crotch of his lover, but it did not bother him. The blond began to lift up his shirt, exposing his 6 pack. Kakashi licked his lips in a hungry way as he too took off his shirt. When they were down to their boxers, Kakashi did not stop there.

"W-what are you doing!?!" Naruto asked as he watched Kakashi pull down his boxers.

When Naruto reached for his own, Kakashi swatted at his hands and told him no. The blond looked around the are, searching for any sign of someone coming. They were in public practically naked in the open area. Kakashi had confidence in whatever they were doing as he pulled Naruto towards an open area.

Water could be heard from ahead of them, and when Naruto looked up from Kakashi's ass he noticed it. It was a waterfall and many colors of flowers decorated the view, along with animals that ran around the waterfall. The water collected in a river below it.

"Do you like it?" Kakashi asked.

Naruto could only stare at the sight that was absolutely gorgeous. Kakashi smiled at his lover as they walked towards the river. The older male tugged at his boyfriend to get closer to the river. He had been there before to make sure it was safe to swim in.

No creatures coming to kill them, or any fishes to bother them. Naruto could only gasp even more as he saw birds chirping as the past by him. It was honestly so amazing that it made him forget the fact that his lover was butt naked and standing next to him. He also forgot he was naked as well.

Everything slipped his mind as he looked around at the place Kakashi had brought him to. Kakashi took this as an opportunity to shove him into the river water.

"Damn you Kakashi!" Naruto yelled as he barely caught himself on the surface of the water. Naruto stood on the surface and glared at his boyfriend for scaring him like that, and to think he thought Kakashi looked sexy.

Kakashi, however, loved the fact that Naruto looked even more sexy with the water covering his body. The silver haired male watched as Naruto seemed to mumble words to himself about Kakashi being an ass.

He laughed it off as he jumped into the water, diving beneath Naruto so he could pull him down into the water. Naruto screamed in surprise as hands pulled him down a bit, making him use Kakashi to hold onto.

"Thank you my knight in shining armor" Naruto said in a dramatic way. Kakashi smiled at Naruto and pulled him in for another kiss.

Naruto wrapped his hands around Kakashi's neck, bringing him in closer while trying to stay afloat. The older male wrapped his arms around Naruto's waist, pulling him closer to his naked body. And that is what made Naruto squirm as he felt the member rub against his own. Arousal sparked within the blond as he let out a low moan and rubbed his own member against Kakashi's aching one. Kakashi nipped at Naruto's bottom lip when he saw what Naruto was trying to do.

"Naruto, before we do this, just know that I will love you no matter what. You must understand that" Kakashi said in a low tone. Naruto nodded his head, trying to understand why Kakashi would say such a thing. Of course Naruto loved him as well, but it seemed as if Kakashi was going away for a while. So Naruto shrugged it off as he brought in his lover for a kiss on the lips, and worked on his boxers to get them off. Hands wrapped around the blond to keep him steady as the kiss was deepened.

"I will love you forever, Kakashi Hatake"

Naruto watched as Kakashi seemed to train as if he was actually fighting an enemy. He had been sitting in a tree not too far away from the little boy, and he was enjoying what he saw. Kakashi was clearly pissed at what Naruto had said, and it really did affect them.

Kakashi was yelling out Menma's name, cursing him and saying other heinous things. It did hurt Naruto a bit to see that Kakashi was once young and was this kid he was seeing in front of him.

A kid that was hurt and should have never experienced what Kakashi had, but this was how the village worked. Those that could hold a kunai were expected to fight in these wars that would cost them their lives. Naruto let out a low growl at the thought of the war he fought in. He looked up to the sky for a bit, noticing that the sun was setting. It was getting late, yet Kakashi still went on.

"Damn you, father!" Kakashi yelled as he called upon what seemed to be his starting out chidori. It was pathetic compared to what his Kakashi could do. Small chirps came from him as he slammed his fist into the dummy, burning it slightly.

Naruto narrowed his eyes at Kakashi, wondering what was going on in the mind of young Kakashi. Naruto thought back to when Kakashi had offered to teach chidori to him.

Lightning wasn't Naruto's nature affinity, but he still wanted to learn it, and he did. Although he did not like to use it unless it was absolutely necessary, seeing as he could destroy anything within a 5 mile radius. It was not a lot, but it did too much damage to him and everything around him.

Naruto looked down at his hands as he thought of how the lightning would scratch his skin sometimes.

"What are you doing Menma?" a voice asked him. Naruto snapped his head to look at where the voice came from. It was none other than his father, Minato Namikaze.

He looked back to Kakashi, wondering if Minato thought he was a pedophile. He wasn't seeing as he was only 16 and Kakashi was only 13. He shrugged his shoulders as he watched Kakashi use the chidori once more, this time doing more damage.

If he remembered correctly, Kakashi could only use it 2-3 times when he was younger. Or was it one? The memory of Sasuke using it and himself probably got his information wrong.

"Kakashi, I am such a terrible spouse for forgetting such information" Naruto thought as he tried to recall the information.

"I am watching your student, he has caught my curiosity, and it seems we have some things in common"Naruto replied as he watched Kakashi. He was in fact curious about what the boy does on his free time.

Like if he read Icha Icha at a young age, or if he was a closet pervert. Kakashi hadn't got to answer many questions seeing as they were not dating for too long, and were very busy with missions.

"What do you have in common with Kakashi?" Minato asked, curiosity and suspicion lacing his question.

Menma looked at his father, remembering that Minato was a genius. Of course his father would be looking for answers to suggest Menma was not right in the head, or he was a threat. So Naruto thought of everything he had in common with young Kakashi.

Dead parents, check.

Closed off some emotions, check.

Has chidori, check.

Experiences the tendencies of hearing voices, check. That one had been told to him by Kakashi himself.

"I see the pain in his eyes when he looks at parents, so I assume he has lost one or both of his. And if so I can relate seeing as my parents died when I was born. To make matters worse I was treated as a monster because of my power, yet was called a hero in the end" Naruto regret what he had said seeing as he had given too much information by even saying anything to his father.

Minato thought about how Menma picked up on Kakashi, but it was all bull shit. Kakashi had not looked at a parent today, and he knew so for a fact. But what Menma said was the truth, about Kakashi's parents and himself. He could tell.

"Well then Menma, I hope you don't creep my student out by watching him. It might be too late already" Minato said as he seemed to vanish.

Naruto looked back to where Kakashi was training, only to find him gone. It hit him like a ton of bricks: Minato never hid his presence. Naruto remembered to do so, but Minato never did which alerted Kakashi that he was there.

Naruto face palmed as his eyes searched for the small version of his lover. Panic filled him when he could not seem to sense the boy, and resorted to using sage mode to find him.

"Well why are you watching me, Menma?" A voice that was as cold as ice, asked him.

Something cool like metal pressed against Naruto's exposed neck, and he knew where Kakashi was. The young Hatake had sensed chakra coming from this location, and checked it out only to find Menma.

Menma, Menma, Menma. That was all he could seem to think about. Naruto looked up at the moon, ignoring the blade pressed to his throat. He could not recall Kakashi being this violent when he was with him, but this Kakashi was different. He was heartless and broken, and Naruto would repair him.

"I know your pain. My father died protecting me when I was born, and my mother died protecting him. The power I was cursed with caused others to hate me, but that did not stop me. I made friends and had a great life, until war broke out and killed everyone I loved. Even the person I considered my lover. So I know pain, and I know your pain." Naruto spoke to the boy behind him. A small tear fell onto Kakashi's mask as he thought of his pain he tried to hide. Naruto smiled as he turned his head to look Kakashi into the eyes.

"We can get through this pain, together. Okay Kakashi Hatake?" Naruto asked the boy. Kakashi felt another spark of fire ignite in his heart. It was undeniable. He had sparked the emotion of love.

The younger boy lowered his Kunai as he stared at the Menma. Before Kakashi could question him, or threaten him, Menma disappeared in a cloud of smoke, revealing it was a shadow clone.

"Damn you, Menma..." Kakashi whispered, a slight snarl on his face, hidden by his mask.

Naruto watched Kakashi from a new location, making sure he was well hidden, especially his chakra. He looked up at the moon, wishing that he could change Kakashi and Obito for the best. He wanted to come home to Kakashi, and not in a dream world. A world where everything is real...

I've been procrastinating on editing these chapters (they were/are REALLY cringy) and I've been so addicted to wincest (fight me e.e) so yeah, sorry. Hopefully I can get as many chapters done as possible before the month ends.
