I felt like humiliated. I feel used and taken advantage of. I couldn't believe it. He just dated me for a check. My heart felt as if it was bleeding like actually bleeding.

Everyone was looking at me. It was embarrassing.

"Get everyone out of my house." I told my mother and Iggy. I went upstairs to my room.

It all came full circle in a way. Why would he date me let alone talk to me in the first place. Why didn't I really question him and his intentions. He never spoken nor paid me no mind before we started to talk. It was to out of the blue.

Plus to make thing even worse. I'm fat and he's a totally fit person why would he ever be with me willingly.

"Baby." I hear my dad.

I also felt betrayed by my dad. Why would he do that. I shook my head at him as more tears started to come out.

"I'm so sorry." He says.

"Why dad?" I say.

"I just wanted you to be happy with the guy you wanted. I can tell how much you liked him and I thought I make you have him. I thought i was doing good by making you happy but later came to realize I did more harm than good." He says sitting down to me.

"Dad I hate that you did that." I say crying. "I'm a joke."

"You are not a joke." My dad says sternly. "I'm so sorry."

"I can't be here anymore." I tell him.

Being in this town felt like I was suffocating. I couldn't do it. I could not face the people see then laugh at me.

I needed to get away and never come back.

"You want to leave." He says. And I nodded. "Okay."

"Thanks." I say.

There was a knock on the door.

"Honey, Ryder wants to talk to you." Says my mother sadly. I shook my head. What more is there to talk about?

"I think it's for the best." Says my mom. "Just hear him out and once you have then you can make any decisions."

She's right. I want to hear his side. But I do promise one thing to myself. No matter what he says it won't change a thing.

"Let him in." I say. My father and mom nod and walk out. In less than a minute Ryder is inside the room. My heart hurts to see him. All I can think about is how selfish he is.

A user.

"Cleo I love you." He says.

I shook my head.

"No you don't." I say. "Because if you did you would have came clean and told me."

"I know but I was scared to lose you. I was afraid of the consequences." He says. "I didn't take you father's money. After what I felt for you I couldn't do it."

"You shouldn't have even taken him up on his offer in the first place." I say.

"I know but I wasn't thinking about that. I wanted to help my father with his debt. It was selfish of me." He came closer to me. "But I fell for you. I love how amazing a sweet you are. Being with you make my life better. I can't lose you. I don't want to. I just want to know that what I did was a huge and fucked up mistake. But please give me a chance."

I stared into his eyes. My heart is broken. His eyes held hope.

"I can't be with you." I say.

Not everything can be repaired.

"Why?"

"Because I know myself. I know even if I did try and works things out with your in the back of my mind I would have distrust in you and I would always go back to this. And I do not want that in a relationship." I say. "Please just leave."

He shook his head.

"No Cleo. I love you and I mean it." He says.

"Give that love to someone else." With that I walked out of room. And told the security to escort him out.

The next day I was helping my maids pack up all things. I was moving to New York into my dads penthouse suite. I will been having going to a elite private school and finishing my studies.

I felt okay with the fact that I was leaving. It was for the best. This town and the people here are total assholes and I'm over it.

It took a few hours. My mother told me the car was waiting to me to take me to the airport.

"Honey you cleared out everything." Says my mom looking around my room.

"I did." I say picking up my backpack and my phone.

"Everything except those." She says pointing at my pictures of Ryder and I. I didn't want them coming with me.

"I do not want that." I say.

With that I walked out of my room and to the car.

"Well your father and I will be in New York in around two months. We have some business to attend here. You'll have Malcomb take you anywhere you need. And leticia will be there to."

I nodded.

"See you then mom." I say quickly getting in the car. And drove off. I was relieved when we went away. Because I was Ryder pulling up to the house.

This hurts but I will prevail.

Two years later...

I sat at the restuarant waiting for my friend to get here. As I look at the menu.

"Girl!" Yelled Danica.

I smiled at her. She was one of the friends that I met in private school.

"Hey." I smiled.

"You look amazing. Girl those curves." She says.

I blushed.

"Thanks girl." I says sitting down. "So how is your husband?"

"He's great. I'm so in love it's insane."

I am so happy for her.

"Girl we have all day to go shopping for tonight." She says.

Oh yes tonight. I felt nervous. I couldn't believe I agreed to this but I did.

"My brother is going feel so lucky." She says. "I'm so happy you are going to be my sister in law."

I'm engaged to one of the richest men in the world. Our families think this would expand our empires and would benefit all of us.

Just so happens to be that Danica's brother is a mysterious man, he doesn't really say much. Very intimidating in a way. Very but very handsome.

Tonight is our engagement party and I have nothing to wear. Not to mention I have wedding dress shopping next week.

Life is insane at times.
