"Anakin, I can't okay. I just can't," Ahsoka said, looking down and away from Anakin.

When she did this, Anakin realized for the first time that she wasn't wearing her usual combat uniform, but a skirt and tank top, with sandals. He had no clue where she would've gotten it. Couldn't have been from the Order, they only give out robes and combat uniforms, nothing as informal as this. He had never seen her shop before, or seen any clothes other than her robes, parka and combat uniform in her closet. He didn't think it plausible that she had bought it herself, as she shouldn't have had any credits, as the Order doesn't give a stipend. He was so confused, but it finally dawned on him... he looked at Lux, and saw how he was gazing upon his former padawan. He smiled, as he now understood why Ahsoka said she couldn't come back even if she wanted to. He knew that she harbored feelings for him, but never thought she would act on them. I guess all that really stood in her way was the Order, and once she left she finally went for it, he thought. He chuckled at the fact that he hadn't sensed this through their bond.

Ahsoka noticed him laughing, and looked up at him with a puzzled look on her face. "What? Do you find it funny everything that's happening to me huh? I thought you were upset that I left, but I guess it was just an act" Ahsoka said a mix of anger and hurt could be heard in her voice, and more tears threatened to fall down her face.

Anakin just kept laughing even harder at this, which only served to infuriate her even more. Lux also began to become angry with Anakin. How could he just play with her feelings like this? However, before either Lux or Ahsoka could say anything, Anakin spoke.

"No, no that's not it Snips. I miss you more than words can describe. There is a piece of me missing without you. That is all true, I promise you. I'll never stop missing you until the day you come back. I'm laughing at myself."

At this Lux and Ahsoka both shot each other confused glances, both thinking the same thing: Anakin Skywalker had gone insane.

As if reading their minds, Anakin spoke, "No dimwits, I'm not going crazy, at least I don't think so," he said with a smirk and a wink, "No, I'm laughing at how it took me this long to realize."

This only served to confuse Ahsoka and Lux further. Ahsoka broke the silence as the next to speak, "Realize what?" Ahsoka asked puzzled.

Anakin raised an eyebrow, "Don't play dumb with me little one, I feel everything you feel, just as you feel everything I feel."

"Anakin I truly don't understand–" she stopped mid-sentence as she mentally facepalmed for the third time today, he obviously meant what was going on between her and Lux. She decided to mess with him a bit though, for old times sake.

"Oh so you think what's happening between you and Padme is happening between me and Lux?" Ahsoka asked smirking.

Anakin had no clue how to respond, he was not expecting this. He thought no one knew about him and Padme, neither of them had told anyone, so how did she figure it out? He tried to speak, but was unable to get anything out, just incoherent pieces of words.

Now it was her turn to "read" his mind, and answer the questions he couldn't seem to. "I've seen how you two act around each other. I've suspected for a while that something was happening between you two, you never really concealed your emotions too well. I could sense how you felt about her, and you just confirmed my suspicions," Ahsoka was now full on laughing at how embarrassed Anakin was. She had never seen him at a loss for words like this. This was a day of firsts for her seeing different sides of Anakin.

Anakin was finally able to compose himself, and think of a retort, "If you think that's so funny Snips, might I ask Lux how he thought you looked in that outfit?" 

It was now Ahsoka's turn–and Lux's for that matter–to be embarrassed, but instead of standing there like a stammering fool like Anakin, she calmly walked over to Lux, her eyes on Anakin the whole time. Once she reached Lux, she kissed him passionately. She broke the kiss and smirked at Anakin.

Anakin put his hands up in mock defeat. "Alright well that backfired, you bested me this time Snips."

"This isn't the first time Skyguy," she retorted, smiling at him. Anakin smiled back. Lux just continued to sit there dumbfounded at what had just occurred. 

"Looks like it didn't completely backfire," Anakin said pointing to Lux and laughing.

Ahsoka turned to Lux and burst out laughing after seeing the look on Lux's face. This only served to make him even more embarrassed, and blush even harder. 

"Awww. He looks so cute when he blushes," Ahsoka said and leaned in to kiss him again. This time Lux kissed back, and all the embarrassment melted away. 

Anakin looked upon the two and smiled. He finally realized how happy Ahsoka was with Lux, and he was happy for her. He knew it was selfish to try to convince her to come back. He just wished she was able to have both, like him and Padme, but he knew it wouldn't work. Hell it barely worked with he and Padme, they rarely got to see each other, as Anakin was always off leading battles, and he didn't want that for Ahsoka and Lux. As long as Ahsoka was happy, he was happy.

Anakin sighed. "Ahsoka... as much as I want you back, we all want you back, I see how happy you are with Lux. I'm honestly kind of jealous, that Padme and I can't have something like this, just don't make any rash choices," he said smirking at her, trying to get one more rise out of her. It worked a bit, as Lux blushed, and even though he couldn't physically see Ahsoka blush, he could feel that she was through their both. "All jokes aside, Ahsoka if you're happy, then I'm happy."

Ahsoka had smiled from ear to ear upon hearing this. Even though she didn't necessarily need it, a weight was lifted off of her shoulders when Anakin gave her his blessing. She ran up to him and pulled him into another hug. "Thanks Skyguy," she said smiling up at him, a tear forming in her eye, but this time, it was a tear of joy.

Anakin smiled back down at her. "Of course Snips. If you ever need anything, or just need to talk, you can always come talk to me or Padme, or I'm sure even Obi-Wan would be happy to help with anything you need."

No more words were said, as they both held onto each other, not wanting to let go, as they knew once they did, they would officially no longer be master and padawan.

"Anakin... I'm scared," Ahsoka whispered.

"I know Ahsoka, I am too," he muttered, "Who's gonna watch my back when I do something stupid now?" Anakin was trying to lighten the mood, trying to stay strong for her, but he knew deep down that he was scared and worried too. His joke had the desired affect though, as Ahsoka let out a small laugh.

Anakin reluctantly pulled out of the hug. Ahsoka looked down and frowned, which caused Anakin to frown as well. He gently held Ahsoka's face and pulled it up to meet his eyes. He saw more tears in her eyes.

"Anakin, I'm going to miss you," she said sadly, trying to stay strong and hold back the tears that were threatening to fall again.

"Me too Snips, but remeber, I'll always be with you."

Anakin then reached into one of the pockets of his robe and pulled something out. At first Ahsoka didn't realize what it was, but upon getting a better look at it, she immediately knew what it was. It was her padawan silka beads, but they were made into a bracelet with a blue jewel in the middle. 

Anakin handed it to her, "Just something to remeber me by," he said, "it's a symbol of the bond that we share." Anakin could feel the tears welling up in his eyes, as he turned around and walked out of the apartment.

Ahsoka just stood in silence, looking at the bracelet in her hand. Lux got up from the couch and walked over to her and put his hands on her shoulders. Ahsoka looked up and him and they locked eyes. Ahsoka finally let the tears fall, as Lux brought her in and held her close. She cried into his shirt as he kissed her lekku.
