Chapter 12

Ahsoka was released from the Halls of Healing the next day, and just in time too. Tomorrow her and Lux would be leaving for their week stay at L' Expédiant D'Amor in Naboo. To say she was excited would be an understatement. She would get the entire week to just spend with Lux, nothing to interrupt them.

"Come on Lux! I need to pack!" Ahsoka said giddily, pulling Lux toward the speeder.

"Calm down Soka, you've got the whole day to pack. We don't leave until tomorrow."

"I know, but I'm just so excited," Ahsoka was now smiling from ear to ear. It had been a long time since Lux had seen her this giddy, and that made him happy.

They reached the speeder, but Lux didn't start it. Instead he turned to Ahsoka. "I was thinking that tonight, after you've packed, we can go out to eat. Our first real date," Lux said smiling down at her.

Her eyes went wide in excitement. "Really?"

"Really."

"Oh thank you thank you thank you Lux!" she said as she planted multiple kisses on his cheeks.

"Stop teasing me," Lux pouted. Ahsoka smirked, and leaned in to kiss him, but pulled away laughing. Lux just continued to pout like a little kid.

"Oh stop your pouting," Ahsoka said playfully booping his nose.

Lux turned away from her, still pouting. He was determined to get what he wanted, and he knew Ahsoka couldn't resist much longer.

"Oh come here you big baby," she said wrapping her arms around him and pulling him in, not stopping this time. Pulling away, they smiled at each other. "Happy now?" Ahsoka asked.

"Yes," Lux replied, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

Lux started the speeder, and they made their way back to the apartment.

"So," Ahsoka started, "where are we going for dinner tonight?" Her eyes were full of wonder and excitement.

"It's a surprise d'bhem" Lux replied with a wink.

Now it was Ahsoka's turn to pout, and Lux just gave out a laugh and continued driving.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Are we there yet?" Ahsoka asked for the umpteenth time. She had a blindfold on, and Lux was leading her down the streets of Coruscant towards their destination.

Lux sighed, "No, and if you ask again, we're going to go home." This threat caused Ahsoka to go quiet.

After what seemed like an eternity for Ahsoka (in reality it was about 10 minutes), Ahsoka heard a door open. She soon felt stairs in front of her, and made her way up them. She then felt another door open, and the breeze of the open air.

"We're here. You can take your blindfold off."

Ahsoka opened her eyes and was astonished. They were standing atop a skyscraper in the middle of Coruscant. The view was beautiful, the lights of the city were amazing. Lux grabbed her hand and led her around a corner. When they passed the corner, Ahsoka saw a table that was set for two.

"Is that... for us?" Ahsoka asked with stars in her eyes. Lux nodded, and Ahsoka threw herself around him.

"Come m'lady," Lux said grabbing her hand and leading her to the table. He pulled out her chair for her, and then went to sit in his own chair.

"Lux this is amazing, how did you manage all of this?"

"Well... it wasn't without some help," he said sheepishly.

At that moment, Ahsoka heard a muffled robotic voice and a series of beeps. Soon none other than R2-D2 and C-3PO came around the same corner Lux and Ahsoka just had.

"No R2, I told you that I would carry it. I do have hands," Ahsoka heard 3PO say this, which R2 responded to with a couple angry beeps. Ahsoka stifled a laugh. The two droids were always bickering.

She could now see that C-3PO was holding a tray, which she assumed was their food, and what she assumed he and R2 were bickering about.

"Good evening Mistress Ahsoka and Master Bonteri."

"Good evening 3PO," Ahsoka and Lux greeted in unison.

R2 rolled up to Ahsoka, beeping happily. "Good to see you too artooie," she said as she gave him a pat on the head.

C-3PO placed the tray on the table between Ahsoka and Lux, and lifted the lid. The aroma was magnificent. On the tray was an assortment of meats, roasted porg, deep-fried nuna legs, and, her favorite, grilled thimiar. There was also some bread and various cooked vegetables.

Ahsoka's mouth watered. "Lux this looks amazing, thank you."

Lux put his hands up. "I didn't make this," he admitted, "all I did was tell the chef what I knew you'd want, and he did the rest."

"Well then my compliments to the chef," Ahsoka paused. She realized she had no clue who the chef was. They weren't at a restaurant, so who could've cooked it?

Suddenly, she heard a door open. A figure walked towards them, he was wearing a white chefs hat and apron and had a mustache that could clearly be seen as fake. The man was also holding a bottle of champagne. She immediately knew who then man was, and she burst out laughing.

"Anakin, you look ridiculous," she said wiping a tear from her eye. "I've got to get a picture to show Master Kenobi," she pulled out her holocamera and snapped a picture of an embarrassed Anakin.

"Yea, yea I know. Remind me not to mess with either of you again," Anakin replied shooting a glance at Lux.

"Lux you made him do this?"

"Yup, this is what he gets for breaking up our kiss earlier," Lux said giving a wink to Ahsoka.

Giving a slight scowl, Anakin changed the subject. "Here, have some champagne and we'll see who's looking ridiculous." Anakin poured Ahsoka and Lux each a glass. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to change out of this and get back to the Temple," and with that, he was gone.

Ahsoka grabbed her glass of champagne and raised it. Lux followed suit and did the same. "To us, and a prosperous future," Ahsoka toasted.

Their glasses touched and they both took a sip. Putting their glasses back on the table, they began to eat.

This is just the beginning of the best week of my life, Ahsoka thought as she basked in the moment she and Lux were sharing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahsoka awoke the next morning with a slight headache. She had probably drank a bit too much champagne last night, but she didn't really care. It had been the first time her and Lux had done something like that together.

She rolled out of bed and changed into her clothes. Walking into the kitchen she heard Lux on the phone. She snuck up behind him and planted a kiss on his cheek before heading to the fridge to look for some breakfast.

Lux hung up the phone shortly thereafter, and turned to Ahsoka. "So are you all packed and ready to go?"

"Yup, I packed for both of us last night, remember?"

Lux gave a small chuckle, "Yes, I do. Thanks again," he said striding over to her and planting a quick on her lips. "Now hurry up and finish breakfast, we'll leave as soon as you're ready."

Ahsoka nodded and quickly finished her cereal. She was eager to leave and get to Naboo.

After finishing her cereal, she double checked and made sure she had packed everything. Enough clothes? Probably too many. Toothbrush? Check. Makeup? Check. Lightsabers? Oh... wait. She sighed as she remembered that she no longer had them. Doing one last sweep of the room to make sure she didn't forget anything, she saw something sticking out of her drawer. She smirked upon seeing it, and walked over to the drawer to grab it and stuffed it in her suitcase.

Walking out of her room, she saw Lux sitting on the couch reading a book. Once he saw her enter the room, he marked his page in the book and set it down.

"I'm ready to go," Ahsoka chirped.

"Alright then let's go," Lux replied walking over to her. "May I?" he said reaching for her bag, just as he had when they first met on Raxus.

"I can handle it," she replied this time with a smile, instead of the cold scowl she had sported on Raxus.

Lux returned the smile and they walked to the speeder. They sat in silence for most of the ride, just taking in the scenery around them. Upon reaching the landing pad where the ship was waiting, Ahsoka could see two figures standing by it, but couldn't make out who it was.

Her and Lux exited the speeder, and made their way to the ship. As the neared, the pair could clearly make out the two figures standing in front of the ship as Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala.

Ahsoka rushed up to them excitedly. "What are you guys doing here? You're not trying to ruin our alone time by tagging along are you?" Ahsoka asked, playfully pouting.

"No, of course not Snips," Anakin replied, "but I am here to set some ground rules. First of all, no drugs. Second, no alcohol. And, lastly, absolutely NO sexual interactions. I don't need to become an uncle yet."

Ahsoka just rolled her eyes and Lux's face flushed with embarrassment. "Uh.. of course not s-sir... we would never," Lux stammered out.

"Ahsoka, can I speak with you for a second?" Padme asked motioning Ahsoka away from Lux and Anakin.

"What's up Padme?" Ahsoka asked curiously. Padme slipped a baggie of pills into Ahsoka's hand.

"Just incase," Padme said with a wink. "Anakin is right that we don't need any little Ahsok's running around, but you're teenagers, it's natural. Just be safe."

Ahsoka gave Padme a smile. "Thank you Padme," she said bringing the woman into a tight embrace.

While Ahsoka and Padme were talking, Anakin and Lux were also having a... "talk".

Lux was still uncomfortable and embarrassed from what Anakin had said. Anakin sighed and placed a hand on the kids shoulder, causing Lux to look up at him. "Lux, I've seen the way she looks at you, and the way you look at her. I can tell how much you both truly care for each other. It's just," Anakin paused for a second, "she's like the only family I have left, and I just can't bear the thought that she's growing up, that she's not that young girl that was assigned to be my padawan. She's a strong, independent woman, capable of making her own decisions now, and I'm still trying to come to terms with it.

"Now, despite that, if you harm her in any way, physically or emotionally, she will be the least of your worries. If you so much as touch her in a way she doesn't want to be, I will see to it that you never touch anything  again. Overall, just take care of her please. I know I won't always be there to protect her, but I think I can trust you to when I'm not around."

Lux took in everything Anakin had said. Had he had any thoughts about doing anything with Ahsoka that she didn't want, what Anakin said would've been enough of a deterrent for him to not do it. But, he had no intentions of anything like that. He wouldn't do anything that she wasn't comfortable with.

"Master Skywalker, you know I would never do anything to harm her. I love Ahsoka with all my heart, and I would never dream of hurting her."

This seemed to make Anakin happy, as he smiled and extended his hand. Lux took Anakin's outstretched hand and shook it. At that moment, Ahsoka and Padme returned.

"Ahsoka," Anakin started, "I have one last thing for you."

He held out the wooden box that he had been holding. Ahsoka looked at it quizzically, not knowing what was inside. She grabbed the lid of the box and opened it, and when she did, she gasped. Inside were both of her old lightsabers. She was speechless, how he had gotten them, she didn't know. Tears of joy started to form in her eyes.

"I took care of the, they're good as new."

Ahsoka took one in each of her hands and ignited them. Instead of the normal green and yellow-green of her sabers, they were now blue, just like his. Ahsoka raised her eyebrow and gave Anakin a quizzical look.

"Alright, maybe a little better," he said with a smirk to which Ahsoka just rolled her eyes.

She deactivated the sabers and surprised Anakin with a hug. Her former master gladly returned it.

"Thank you Skyguy," she whispered into his robes.

They separated from the hug, and Ahsoka grabbed Lux's hand and raced onto the ship.
