Chapter 11

Just as Lux had left the Halls of Healing, he felt his comm vibrate.

"Lux! Lux! She's waking up!" He heard Anakin's voice shout.

Of course she woke up just as I left, Lux thought giving a chuckle and shaking his head. "I'm on my way Master Skywalker!" Lux replied excitedly. She had only been in the coma for just over a day, but he felt like it had been eternities. From this experience he learned one thing: he never wanted to be without Ahsoka.

Lux entered the room in time to see Ahsoka attempt to sit out, but fall right back down, wincing in pain.

"Ahsoka!" Lux shouted, rushing to her side. He brought her into a tight embrace. "Oh Ahsoka... I-I thought... I thought that I had lost you..." Lux whispered out.

"Lux," Ahsoka started, "it's okay, I'm not going anywhere for a long time."

Lux backed out of the hug and they began to close the space between their faces.

Anakin, who had been sitting there quietly the entire time, saw this, and decided to mess with them a bit. "Good to see ya awake Snips," he said as their faces were mere centimeters apart.

The couple quickly jumped away from each other embarrassed, trying to hide their faces.

"Kriff Anakin, you scared the bantha dung outta me," Ahsoka said.

Anakin just laughed, "That was the point," he responded smirking.

"Don't think I'll forget about this. I'll get you back for it."

Anakin's smirk faded, he knew he had just opened a can of worms that he shouldn't have.

"So Ahsoka," Lux's voice spoke, "what happened exactly? One minute you were asleep beside me, and the next you were on the floor, shaking and screaming."

Ahsoka knew the question was coming, but also knew that she shouldn't, or couldn't, reveal the contents of her dreams or visions or whatever they were with Anakin around, because they so directly involved him, and she did not want to worry him. However, another part of her wanted to tell him, so that she could help him. She took a deep breath, and made her decision, "I really don't know. I remember falling asleep next to you, Lux, and then I had a nightmare. After that, everything went dark, and I woke up here."

"What was the nightmare about? It must've been pretty bad to force you into a coma," Anakin interjected.

"I don't really remember, only bits and pieces are coming to me," she lied.

Lux brought her into another hug. "Well all that's important is that you're here with me again, and in good health. Just never scare me like that again, okay?"

"I promise," she replied. She looked at Lux's pleading eyes and smiled, "You look so cute when you're worried."

"Well then I'd rather not look cute because I don't like worrying about you," he huffed.

Ahsoka just giggled and broke the distance between them. He cupped her face in his hands, and they gently kissed. They knew Anakin was right there, but they didn't care who saw, they just wanted each other.

Suddenly, Obi-Wan walked into the room. "Ahsoka, Anakin told me–" he stopped as he saw Lux and Ahsoka's lips doing the tango. The two jumped apart quickly, embarrassed (so much for not caring who saw huh?). "Oh my, I'm sorry. I didn't realize this was the Honeymoon Suite."

This comment caused Anakin and Obi-Wan to burst out laughing, and Ahsoka and Lux to become even more embarrassed. Ahsoka's lekku began to heat up, as it only did when she was really embarrassed.

Ahsoka soon recomposed herself. "Hello Master Kenobi. It's good to see you."

"Likewise Ahsoka. We were all very worried about you."

"Is 'we' just you three?" Ahsoka asked with a raised eyebrow.

Obi-Wan knew what she was getting at. "Well... they were worried to an extent I guess. They wanted to know what kind of nightmare you had had that would put you into a coma."

"What a surprise!" she said, her voice full of sarcasm.

Before Obi-Wan could ask, Anakin answered. "She doesn't remember the dream," he said, a hint of disbelief in his voice. Obi-Wan knew very well what was in the dream, or at least he had a good idea.

In that moment, Anakin's comm buzzed. He looked at it and grunted, "the Council is summoning me. That's great," he sighed, the other three stifled a laugh. "I'll see you three later. And Ahsoka, try to take it easy."

"I'll try Skyguy." And with that, Anakin left.

Obi-Wan decided that with Anakin gone, he would take the opportunity to talk to Ahsoka about her dream. "Ahsoka, may I speak to you," he glanced at Lux, "in private?"

Lux took her hand and scooted closer to Ahsoka. "Whatever you have to say to her, you can say to me too."

Obi-Wan looked at Ahsoka, trying to see her thoughts on the situation. She knew what he wanted to talk about, and decided that Lux ought to hear it too, because her decision would affect his life eventually. She nodded at Obi-Wan, signaling that it was okay to do this with Lux present.

Obi-Wan sat in the chair that Anakin had previously been sitting in. "So, what exactly happened in your dream?"

"She said she doesn't remember," Lux said irritated.

"Yes, I did say that Lux," Ahsoka started, "but that was a lie. I remember exactly what happened."

"Then why didn't you say so before?" Lux asked.

"Because it has to do with Anakin, and I don't want to worry him."

Lux just nodded, remaining silent for the time being. Ahsoka turned to Obi-Wan, "I'll start with the nightmare I had," Ahsoka said, and began to recount the nightmare. The voice calling her name, the mysterious "Order 66", Rex and the 501st attacking her, the mention of Fives, she spared no detail.

Obi-Wan sat still, listening and stroking his beard. Lux, however, was quite the opposite. He was worried for the young togruta and her friends. He was worried that all of these dreams would come true, and that he'd lose her. He couldn't bear to think what he'd do without her.

Once Ahsoka finally finished, Obi-Wan spoke, "This is most troubling. It is imperative we figure out what this 'Order 66' is. I've never heard of it before, but maybe what happened to Fives is a clue?" Obi-Wan could see that Ahsoka looked uncomfortable, and seemed to have more she wanted to say. "Is there something else bothering you Ahsoka?"

She looked up at him. "Obi-Wan... do you remember Mortis?" Ahsoka asked hesitantly.

Obi-Wan's face darkened. "I thought we agreed to never talk of that again."

"Well things change."

"What's Mortis?" Lux asked completely confused. Why did they not want to talk about it?

Ahsoka sighed. "Mortis is a... place–not really a planet, to be honest, we're still not sure what it was–that was very strong in the force. It was ruled over by three beings: the Father, the Daughter, and the Son. The Daughter was the embodiment of the Light Side of the force, while the Son was the embodiment of the Dark Side, and the Father kept them balanced. Long story short, the Father was dying and thought Anakin could take over for him; however, the Son wanted Anakin to turn to the Dark and rule the galaxy with him. We escaped and haven't spoke of it since."

"That's right, and we agreed to never speak of it again," Obi-Wan said glaring at Ahsoka.

"Yes, and I told you things change," Ahsoka shot back at Obi-Wan. "The Daughter contacted me while I was in the coma."

Obi-Wan looked dumbfounded. Lux was just plain confused, even though Ahsoka had given Lux a rundown of what happened, he still had no clue what was going on.

After a moment of silent disbelief, Obi-Wan finally found himself able to speak. "But Ahsoka, the Daughter is dead. The Son killed her remember?"

"Yes, but what you and Anakin neglected to tell me is that the Daughter's life force was transferred into me after the Son killed me."

"We uhhh... Anakin uhhh... I... uhhh" Obi-Wan had no response. The only explanation for her knowing is that the Daughter had  talked to her.

It took a second to register with Lux what Ahsoka had said, but when he realized what Ahsoka had said, he was exasperated. "Wait you DIED?!? Are you even the real Ahsoka? Are you a ghost? What is happening?"

Obi-Wan just gave Lux a look that could only be mean, you cannot be serious, while Ahsoka attempted not to burst out laughing, to no avail.

"Lux, honey, I'm fine. I'm still me," she said wiping a tear from her eye.

"Anyways, if we could get back on track," Obi-Wan started giving Lux on last glance, "what did she tell you?"

"Well, she came to me and told me of what happened, how I was possessed by her brother, and died and she gave her remaining life for me, all that stuff. She told me that when her life force was instilled in me, that some of her powers were too.

"She then told me that there was a darkness that had begun to descend over the galaxy, and the Jedi and Senate were oblivious to it. She told me all the Jedi would be killed, and the Senate and Republic as a whole destroyed, and that I would be left with a choice: she said I could either run away with Lux, and live the rest of our lives together, or  I stand up, and help protect and restore order to the galaxy. She told me I didn't have to make my decision yet, but I would soon."

Lux didn't hear the last part, he was fixed on what she had said prior. He knew which one he wanted her to choose, but knew which one she ultimately would choose. He wanted to run away and spend the rest of his life with her, but he knew that would be selfish of both of them, and he knew Ahsoka wouldn't just stand idly by when she knew she could do something to help. That was part of what he loved about her, her selfishness and willingness to help anyone no matter what.

"Lux? Luuuuux? Is anyone home?" Ahsoka said waving her hand in front of his face.

This snapped Lux out of his thoughts, "Yes love?"

"I asked what you thought I should do."

Lux sighed, "Ahsoka, this is your choice, your path. I know what I want you to choose, but I know which option I want you to choose, and I know which option you should  choose. Whichever you choose, I will be with you every step of the way. I would follow you to the edges of the galaxy Ahsoka. I love you too much to let you do what I know you're going to do by yourself."

"Oh Lux, I love you," she said shedding a tear of happiness and crashing her lips against Lux's. This kiss was more full of passion than any of their previous ones. The love that they shared for each other was clearly evident.

Obi-Wan just watched the two, and smiled. Ahsoka had grown into such a wonderful young woman in the last three years since he'd met her, but deep down, there was a pang of jealousy. He couldn't help but think what could've been between him and a certain mandalorian.
