I looked towards the door when I heard knocking. "Who is it?" I called. The door opened to reveal Ozpin. "Professor! It's good to see you!"

"A please to see you as well, Lily. How are you?" He asked. "Great! Shadow's been really good, and hasn't hurt anybody! Told ya he was harmless!" I informed. 

"That's good to hear. Where's Mr. Hyde?" Ozpin wondered. "Eating lunch with Team RWBY. And probably being interrogated by Yang,"  I giggled. "Did you need him for something?"

"No, not at the moment. In fact, I wanted to have a moment alone with you." 

"Sure, what's up?"

"Well, were you always fearless to run blindly into danger?" 

"What?"

 Ozpin took out his scroll and projected a video of me playing with the Deathstalker's tail. "Oh, that's what you mean. Hehe... I just did it because I thought it would be fun." I admitted.

"It was also very dangerous and reckless. That Grimm could've attacked you or worse. But it didn't." Ozpin said. 

"Maybe because I didn't provoke it in any way? I think that's what you guys are missing. As long as you don't attack the Grimm, they won't have any reason to attack you." I assumed. 

"Grimm will attack regardless if you attack it or not." He argued. "If you say so," I said, shrugging my shoulders. 

"Do you think there's anyone else who can tame Grimm like me? Maybe they can be my teacher or something,"

Ozpin suddenly went quiet. "Um, Professor? Are you okay?" I asked. He didn't say anything as he just stared at me. "Professor?"

"Hmm? Oh, I'm sorry, Lily."

"You went all quiet for a sec there. Like a cat got your tongue."

"Sorry, I... I just remembered I had something to take care of. Excuse me." 

He left the room while closing the door behind him. "Well, that was weird. Wonder what that was all about? What do you think, Shadow?" I asked, looking at him. 

Shadow shook his head as if he was answering. "Come on, let's take you for a walk." I grabbed his leash and we headed to Emerald Forest. 

I really wish I could take Shadow to the fairgrounds of the festival. But everyone would freak out, no doubt. Then, the Atlesian knights would activate and kill him. 

"So not fair." I said aloud. Once we've reached the middle of the forest, I undid Shadow's leash and let him roam free for a bit. 

While he was enjoying his freedom, I sat down and played with the grass between my fingers, humming to myself. 

SNAP!

"Hmm?" I turned my head when I heard a twig snap behind me. "Hello? Ian, is that you?" I called while standing up and facing the source of the sound. 

There was no reply. Shadow walked up next to me, slightly growling at the bushes. "Maybe it was a squirrel or something, right?" 

The bushes rustled and a beautiful, young woman stepped out. She had black hair, amber eyes, and wore tan-ish combat outfit.

She looks familiar. Have I seen her somewhere before? I thought. Wait, I have. She was with that guy I bumped into in the hallway. She's one of the exchange students to fight in the tournament. 

"Oh, it's you! Hello there." I greeted. "Hello," She greeted back, smirking. "Now I understand why Grimm fascinate you so much," 

I looked at Shadow in alarm, then back at the woman. I protectively hugged my Beowolf and frowned at her, fearing she was going to kill him. 

"Don't be afraid. I have no intention of hurting you or your Beowolf." She assured. But I didn't trust her words. "Are you armed?" I asked. 

She hesitated before answering, "Yes,"

The woman took out a pair of swords, making Shadow's growling grow louder. She dropped the weapons in front of her and kicked them to the side. 

"I don't believe we've been properly introduced. My name is Cinder," She said, extending her hand out to me. "I understand you're Ruby's Rose's twin sister. It's nice to make your acquaintance." 

I narrowed my eyes at her before slowly letting go of Shadow. "I'm Lily," I introduced. "So... You're really not going to kill my Beowolf?"

"No." She answered, calmly. "And you won't tell anyone about him?" I asked. "No." She repeated. 

"Um... Aren't you scared of Shadow?"

"Can't be afraid of something that can be easily killed,"

I didn't know how to respond to that. "Can I pet him?"

"Say what?!" I was shocked when she said that. She wants to pet my Beowolf?! A Grimm?! Someone slap me, I must be dreaming!

"Y-You want to pet him?!" I repeated. "I do." Cinder confirmed. 

"Sure! I-I mean, of course you can! Sorry if I'm yelling. I just... Well... I mean... You might be the first person who actually wants to pet Shadow and and not want to harm him." I explained. 

"People want to kill your Beowolf?" Cinder asked. "I don't see why. So far, this Grimm hasn't attacked me."

"Exactly! That's what I'm trying to explain to the professor, but he doesn't get it!"

Cinder chuckled. "Quite an adorable little girl you are, Lily." She said. I blushed with a shy smile.

"Oh! Uh... How are you enjoying the festival so far? You said you and your team were visiting from Haven, right?" I mentioned. 

"That's right," Cinder clarified. "So far, I have to say that we're having a very fun time."

"That's great!" I smiled. My scroll rang, so I answered it. "Hello? Hi, Ian. He does? Right now? Okay. Shadow and I are on our way." I informed, then hung up. 

"Sounds like you have to go." Cinder mentioned. "Yeah." I agreed, and climbed onto Shadow's back. "Lily." Cinder called. 

"Yes?"

"Would you mind... meeting me here tomorrow? There are some things I'd like to discuss with you. You can even bring your Beowolf."

"Really?! You mean it?!"

"Of course. I'd like to talk with you some more."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "I... I would love that!" I cheered. "Oh, and Lily?" Cinder mentioned. "Yes?" I answered. 

"Be sure not to tell anyone about our little arrangement."

"Of course! As long as you don't tell anyone about Shadow, okay?"

"Trust me. It'll be our little secret." 

I smiled at her again, then went back to the city with Shadow.
