Chapter 1

The first day of the course hhad me always on my nerves. It was my first year at Fukurodani High School and luckily that year I would live in the school residence thus having some privacy. The director had told us that the rooms in the residence were arranged according to the club you have registered for, so my apartment would be reserved for athletes, which apparently was the top floor of said building. Why are elevators a thing if those on the top floor train almost every day? They probably didn't think about the fact that on the first day people brought suitcases with them.

"Shall I help you bring things up, darling?"

My father helped me so I would not have to take a thousand trips and get rid of suffering 100 times going down stairs and make a fool of myself. After the brief and hard tour we reached the fifth floor. Just up the last step, you could see a series of sofas and chairs around several tables inside a glass dome (rather a glass acting as a wall) and a TV in each of those rooms. In between these, a somewhat small corridor reached the other part of the floor. Both to the left and right were corridors with bedrooms, and at the same time there were two more corridors at the other side of the room. Apparently, each hall was for each one or two teams and each 'glass room' was property for the closest hall.

"The truth is, this looks impressive," my father was hallucinating and he was not the only one. "Although something tells me that you are not going to have a television in the room." And surely it would be true. Each floor landing had a common area and apparently each one was designated and decorated according to the people's clubs, and the only ones that also had soundproof glass were the music clubs.

In the corridors you could see first-years entering suitcases and boxes, and people who were reuniting with old friends. Following the previous indications, we crossed the passageway and in the other part there were also some stairs that led to the terrace of the place, where many went to feel a bit of air from time to time. Turning right we finally reached our destination.

-"5 A1, 5 A1.."

And after walking room 5 A1 was at the end of the hall. Empty desks on both sides on the right wall waiting to be sorted out separated the window that let in a tremendous amount of light into the room. To the left, the bunk bed was taped to the far wall, and next to it was one of the two built-in wardrobes in the room, the other located on the wall to the left side of the door. The place was still empty, so for now I would not meet my roommate.

"Do you think you will be able to place it all by yourself?"

"Dad, how old do you think I am?"

He just laughed and kissed me on the forehead, saying goodbye to me after another recital of 'call me once in a while', 'behave yourself' and so on. Finally alone I decided to take out the clothes and put them in the next-door wardrobe and leave the rest for a few moments later after deciding which bed or desk I would have and my room mate would have. Luckily, the registrations had already been done and the club's entrance exams too, so I had already seen my team and only three new girls (including myself) had entered the team although not too many people showed up either. In that high school the most famous sport and in which the women's teams triumphed the most was athletics and basketball, while the men's soccer and volleyball team were the best, which is why not many people sought to join the women's club.

I was a little nervous since that night the team had decided to have dinner together and go to a welcome party that was held every year by the sports clubs and in which the entire residence was invited and enjoyed. In addition it was rumoured that there was an initiation rite in some of the clubs during that party and it was not exactly what I wanted (and even less in front of a lot of people). Deciding that the best thing would be to have a little air, it would be a good time to see the terrace, not knowing that when I would open the door I would see that task frustrated.

"Akaashi! I missed our room!" The black-haired man could not help but sigh at the energy of his partner. Since his freshman year, he has had a room with the captain of his team and he thought that at least he would have a quiet afternoon on the first day. What a fool.

"Bokuto-san you're going to scare the newcomers." Hearing those words, Bokuto turned only to see a brown-haired girl watching him curiously and who ran off three seconds later.

So this is my first time writing a Haikyuu fanfic and writing this whole thing in ENglish (im not native) so sorry for the disaster this may be.
