we walked down the steps together, my eyes locked with harry's as i forgot everything around me for a moment.

i walked up to him as he took my hand.

"you look beautiful" he said, smiling.

"thanks, not to bad yourself" i replied with a smirk.

"nice dress ron looking truly gorgeous, especially with your lovely long locks" astrid smirked towards ron.

"ha ha astrid, very funny" he replied seriously, an unimpressed look on his face which made us snort with laughter.

"now now don't look so glum chum" i commented and then everyone laughed, except our brother.

"good luck" astrid smiled at hermione and i, winking with a small smirk before walking through the doors.

we went and stood with the other champions and their dates.

as everyone filed in, we stood in the front with hermione and viktor just behind me as she whispered "good luck" 

"you too" i replied

we walked in with the other champions and i saw ron and astrid whispering. 

"i don't know how to dance" harry hissed, frantically

"just relax and follow my lead" i whispered, grabbing his hand as we took our places

i started to dance around the center of the room as i felt harry relax and dance with me

"see, you're getting the hang of it" i whispered, grinning

"yeah, i am" he replied, also smiling as the song ended.

as the song ended we joined by seamus and astrid, all of us dancing to the wild sisters together.

i looked up to see ron with padma, looking bored which made me and astrid laugh.

"i'm thirsty" astrid said.

"i'll go grab us a drink" seamus said.

"i'll join you" krum replied while hermione, harry, astrid and i walked over to ron.

"hot isn't it? viktor and seamus's gone to get drinks. care to join us?" Hermione asked him.

i could tell by the look in hermione's eyes that she'd wanted to go with ron tonight but he was too dumb to realise it as i shared a glance with astrid

"no, we'd NOT care to join you and viktor" ron snapped back.

"what's got your wand in a knot?" astrid said, folding her arms over her chest.

"he's a durmstrang. you're fraternising with the enemy" he replied making me scoff.

"the enemy? who was it wanting his autograph?" i asked.

"besides, the whole point of the tournament is international magical cooperation, to make friends" hermione informed, hurt by his words.

"hrmph, I think he's got a bit more than friendship on his mind" on commented.

hermione gave him a glare before walking off and out the door.

"ronald weasley you fucking idiot!" astrid snapped, glaring daggers at him and following her out the door.

"you asshole!" i added, close behind her as we walked out of the hall to see Hermione sitting on the stairs in tears.

"oh hermione, don't listen to him. my brother is a thick-headed idiot" astrid said, sitting on one side of her while i took the other.

"he's just jealous because of how beautiful you look and is too dumb to realize it" i smiled.

"t-tha-nk y-ou" she sniffled, still crying.

"oh come here" astrid said, her and i embracing hermione in a friendly group hug.

i don't know how long we were sat there looking after hermione but a few other people left.

we looked up when the doors opened to see ron approaching us.

"he's using you" ron said, looking at hermione.

"how dare you! besides i can take care of myself" she replied furiously.

"doubt it. he's way too old" ron retorted.

"what? what? that's what you think?"

"yeah that is what I think" he replied.

"you know the solution then don't you?" hermione asked angrily.

"go on"

"next time there's a ball pluck up the courage and ask me before somebody else does, and not as a last resort" she snapped.

"well that's completely off the point. Harry..."

then harry and seamus came up to us.

"where have you been? nevermind! off to bed the three of you" hermione instructed, looking at harry then seamus.

i sent a sympathetic smile towards harry, nodding that i would explain later. he smiled and nodded back before walking off to the gryffindor common room with seamus and ron.

"they get scary when they get older" my brother muttered.

"ron you spoil everything!" hermione cried, throwing her shoe at him.

"i swear ronald, if you utter one more word-" i started but hermione cut me off by shaking her head

when they left she started crying again.

"oh I'm so going to kill him" astrid growled, standing up.

"n-no-t n-ow" hermione croaked out and i begrudgingly nodded.

"fine, tomorrow" she replied.

"c'mon, we should get you back to the room" i said, all of us standing up

*in the common room* 

we waited until hermione was in bed, sound asleep, before stomping downstairs to the common room where Harry and Ron were.

"you absolute fucking idiot!" astrid snapped, hitting his arm hard.

"what is your fucking problem?!" i asked furiously.

"ow what are you on about?!" he replied, running his arm, a red hand mark appearing in his freckled skin.

"what are you on about?!" astrid mocked. "what do you think you bloody git!"

"hermione's been crying for hours because if you, you moron!" Indi answered.

"whatever" he shrugged making astrid and i scoff.

"your joking right? you really don't care that she's been crying?" i asked.

"c'mon ron we aren't dumb, i know you care so you better bloody apologize when you next see her or I swear to god i'll kill you in your sleep" astrid threatened.

"no you won't" he replied to which me and astrid both shot him 'do you really wanna test me' look that he was scared of. 

"fine, whatever, can you guys go away now."

i mouthed "10 mins, the tower" to harry, him nodding as astrid and i headed back up to our room to see hermione still asleep 

"when will he learn?" i asked astrid, exasperated 

"i dont know, honestly" she replied, shrugging her shoulders

"well im gonna go talk to harry" i said, making her wriggle her eyebrows

i rolled my eyes as she said "ooh, well im going to go on a walk"

"alright, then. see you in the morning" i smiled as both of us threw on some comfortable clothes and parted ways from our room

"see ya" she replied

i made my way over to harry in the common room, watching astrid and ron say something before her walking out the portrait-hole.

"shall we?" harry asked

"yes, we shall" i replied as we sneakily made our way throuh one of the windows onto a low roof of the castle, overlooking the grounds, a place me and harry discovered last year.

"what was that all about?" he asked

"oh, just ronald being stupid" i replied and he nodded 

"its really beautiful up here" i admired, looking up at the stars

"it really is" he said, looking at me and then at the stars as i laid my head on his shoulder.

"i could get used to this" i said smiling as we drifted off to sleep
