Too late

We were almost home before Kian spoke up again.

"Andrea is really sorry. She said she only said that because she felt we weren't getting enough alone time as a couple." I snorted. What a freaking lie.

"I honestly don't know what you see in her, other than her looks." I said snottily, sneaking a glance in his direction to see his reaction. He was grinning.

"What? Are you jealous, Rickster?" He laughed, parking the car in the garage. I smirked.

"Oh yeah, definitely. You have so much going for you Kian." I said sarcastically, making kissy faces towards him. He laughed before getting out of the car. I didn't notice how cold it was until now, after being in the heated car. I probably was going to catch a cold. Kian grabbed the door knob and jerked it violently.

"It's locked." He said, his face looking grave. I shrugged.

"So? Use your key? Hurry up, it's freezing out here." He turned around with an ashamed face on.

"I was in such a rush to find you I never bothered to stop back and get my key. Plus all the other boys are out looking for you." He said. He shivered noticeably and walked over to me.

"Well at least Trevor knows you found me so he won't be long. Right?" Kian nodded.

"Hopefully, but you're still drenched so you'll be a popcicle in a matter of minutes. Here." He said, peeling his jacket off and holding it out to me. I shook my head.

"You're cold too, I saw you shiver. Keep it, I'll be fine if we get back in your car." He shoved the jacket at me.

"Ricky, wear it anyway. Come on." He said, starting towards the car before I could try to protest. I put it on and had to admit I was glad he offered it to me. It smelled just like his cologne and was so warm. He gave a half smile when he saw me hugging the sweater to myself and gestured for me to get in the car. He opened the garage door so we didn't smoke ourselves out and then leaned back in his seat.

"You know the worst part about this entire ordeal?" He laughed in a strange tone. I raised an eyebrow and looked over at him.

"What Kian? What's the absolute worst part?" I snickered, actually interested in what he thought the worst part was. He sighed.

"I'd planned on asking her to marry me soon. Like really soon. I already have the ring bought and everything. And now, now I just don't know what to do." He sounded near tears. Kian never cried.

"Kian, I don't know what to say." I sputtered, desperately trying to think of a way to comfort him before he started crying. He bit his lip and looked the other way. Too late.
