Sylph's POV

Sie sind das Essen und Wir sind die Jaegar!

Very slowly, I opened my eyes at the sound of my alarm clock going off. I felt the bedside table for my glasses, only to remember that they'd been crushed the day before and sighed.

I kicked of my covers and sat up straight, rubbing the sleep out of my tired eyes. I yawned and grabbed the clock, squinting to get a better view of the letters written on it.

"Eight-thirty am." I mumbled, throwing away the clock and climbing back into bed. I pulled the covers back over my body and was about to fall asleep before realizing what the time was.

I screamed.

I panted heavily as I continued to run to school.

I honestly hate myself for waking up so late.

My perfect attendance record will be ruined!

"Why?" I asked nobody in particular, taking a bite out of the chocolate bar I held in my hand.

I rounded the corner and came face-to-face with the giant gates of my school only to discover that they're locked.

I squinted, maybe this isn't the school

"Sylph?" Someone asked from behind me.

I turned around and almost squealed when I saw Armin standing there. Yes, I know it's him, I can recognize that beautiful yellow hair anytime.

"Hi, Armin." I greeted with a shy waved as he walked towards me.

"Why are you here?" He asked me. I blinked, what does he mean by that?

"What do you mean, it's a school day, right?"

Armin snickered when I spoke which made me wonder what it was I had said that's so funny.

"It's Saturday."

I would've face-palmed right then and there if not for the fact that I was completely frozen in shock and could only utter one word.

"Eh?"

Armin started snickering again, I don't blame him, I've never been idiotic enough to do this. Just as Armin was about to say something, I cut him off because realization had suddenly dawned on me.

"Armin, if you're here, doesn't that mean you thought it was a school day too?" I asked, smirking slightly.
Armin gulped, knowing there was no way of getting out of this and simply held up his arms.

"Fine, I did think it was a school day. But you only have yourself to blame for that."

"What do you mean?"

"The only reason I thought it was a school day because I wanted to see you again and didn't take time to check whether or not it was Saturday."

I didn't need a mirror to know that the color of my cheeks could rival that of a tomato. Armin was no better, after realizing what he had said, he was blushing just as hard as I was, maybe even harder.

We stood in silence, blushing uncontrollably before Armin cleared his throat. "Sylph, I-I wanted to ask if you w-wanted to maybe g-get something to e-eat?" He stuttered, unable to look at me as he did so.

If it was possible, my blush worsened when he asked and of course there was no way I could decline.

Apparently, Armin and I had been holding hands the entire way without knowing it. Of course, we stayed that way, enjoying the feel of our palms against each other.

"Should we go in?" I asked to which Armin nodded and helped me walk inside without bumping into anything. When we entered, we were greeted by Sasha and Conny.

"HEY!" Sasha shrieked running up to us, Conny close behind. They caught sight of our hands and Sasha started screaming something about a ship.

What do ships have to do with anything?

Hange literally appeared from nowhere does and started screaming about a ship as well.

By now, all eyes were on Armin and I, as a result, we left before anyone could protest.

I sighed as we reached my house and Armin pulled away his arm.

"What's wrong?" Armin asked to which I simply shook my head.

"It's nothing important." I replied, accompanied by a small smile. That was all Armin needed to know I was probably telling the truth, I never smiled for anyone but him.

"Bye, Sylph." Armin said, waving as he walked away. I waved back and watched as he disappeared before muttering something to myself and walking inside.

"I'll only smile for you, Armin."

As you may have guessed, I'll probably change the title to something smile-related. That is all!
