He is the child of a priestess, his father had disappeared when he was 4. On his way home from school he passed a small fox doing flips, for some reason no one noticed it but him, he watched it and awed at it which made it stop, look at him and panic, it ran away. Seishin decided it was probably best to just go home, unaware that the fox had decided to follow and figure out how he saw it. When he got home his mother had asked him to go look for a broom in the storage. When looking he stumbled upon a box with a symbol similar to a speaker and a wisp, he opened it and found a form of belt, a arm band, several cartridges that looked like they could be inserted into the arm band, and a cartridge that had a symbol similar to a Talisman. He grabbed the broom, and the box inside, taking the box to his room. The fox from before had seen what Seishin had grabbed, and realised how he had seen it. The next day, Saturday, Seishin had stayed home with his mother, concerned because she seemed almost sickly weak.
The fox soon breaks in and runs to Seishin's room, to which Seishin tries to remove it, but is quickly surprised when the fox suddenly poofs and becomes a small girl with fox ears and tail. The sudden transformation of the fox released a wave of yokai energy, which alerted something that was attempting to devour Seishin's mom's spirit.
