RoseGarden- Ruby Rose x Oscar Pine - RWBY

For the longest time, I didn't ship Ruby with anyone, she is just too oblivious and innocent to even think about relationships. And then Oscar was introduced.

I don't remember if I started shipping them right away or not, but I do really love them. 

Ruby has grown a lot throughout the series. And she is more open about herself and her emotions around others. In my opinion, you really see that with Oscar. Our sweet farm boi, who is new to the hero thing, has a lot of worries and anxiety about what they are doing, if he's good enough, etc. The first person he voices these worries to are Ruby, and she is very open with him about her own worries and how she keeps her chin up.

In volume 7, Oscar was kind of shoved to the side, but I enjoyed a lot of his moments with Ruby. Like the one in the gif above, they were all so sweet while staying true to the awkwardness of both of their characters.

I think they were both each other's first love, and that is why they are so awkward around each other, they have no idea how to handle their feelings. (yes, i know you can argue that Ruby's first love was Crescent Rose, but that doesn't count.) Which adds a whole other layer of adorable wholesomeness to their relationship. 

Summery: I ship it because it is proof of Ruby's character growth and because it's really wholesome and relatable.
