Arkos - Jaune Arc x Pyrrha Nikos - RWBY

As far as I know, there are very few people in the RWBY FNDM who don't ship Arkos. It's just so sweet!

Usually, I give my opinions on the character as individuals, because that may influence what I think of the ship itself. So, here that goes.

Pyrrha, in my mind, is the mom friend. I think she's super cool and all, but we didn't know her long enough for me to really get attached. (I watched vols 1-3 in one weekend because I was introduced to the show right as they started releasing volume 4) That being said, I still really like her and cried a lot when she died.

Jaune, on the other hand, is probably my favorite member of Team JNPR. He's really relatable and average. When he's surrounded by talented people, he stands out for being like the everyday crowd. For a while, he is treated like comedy relief, but I'm glad that we got to see him grow. Especially after Pyrrha died. 

Now, for what I think about the ship itself:

Even though I don't really care about Pyrrha that much, I ADORE THIS SHIP. Especially after Pyrrha died, I never ship Jaune with anyone else. He's such an innocent boi, he would hold on to her memory forever. (I'm sure Pyrrha would want him to move on, but we all know that he didn't really listen to her that much...)

The pining, Pyrrha's longing for a boy most people would think is way below her, that she can do better; I love it. It is basically saying that we don't find love in any social classes based on wealth or skill or talent. 

Also, Pyrrha kissed him and he freaked, cause he realized just how much she actually cared and he felt like an idiot and realized that maybe he likes her back, even just a little? It's all so complicated and impossible to say that this is exactly what everyone is feeling. Emotions are complicated, and this ship definitely shows it. 

And the way Jaune wears her gear, trains with her video, remembers her, you can tell that he won't forget her, ever. Even if he missed his chance, he cares. And the scene at her statue, I cried. 

Summery: I ship it, am sad that Pyrrha died. In my opinion, Juane probably won't move on.
