Disclaimer: My opinion is probably outdated since I haven't read the Webtoon in MONTHS!  I stopped sometime soon after Arlo got beat up by John, Sera got kidnapped, and pink-haired girl started a super hero group.

Also, should I be saying what fandoms these are...?  This one is the comic UnOrdinary (that's the creator writes it, right?)

So when it comes to his friends John certainly seems to be... obsessive?  Like he wants to preserve Sera's image of him, he felt so betrayed by Bridget or whatever his old friend's name was, and he almost murdered some kids since they were working with Arlo and they ambushed him.  Back to the preserving image thing though, I for some reason like the idea of a murderer or something trying to make himself seem weak and non-murderer-y so someone will like them.  Plus, they have a good backstory and definitely seems to like each other's company and have each other's backs.  I spent a lot of my reading time hoping they would get closer, so... yeah!

I think there will definitely be some drama though if Sera ever finds out what he's done and that he has powers, although that might have already happened by now!
