2 years later

Today is Willow 2nd birthday. It is amazing how much she's grown up. Peeta and I are throwing a party for her. All of the gang is coming. We stuck together through college luckily.

In the past two years things have changed a lot. Mr. and Mrs. Mellark got divorced because she still abused Peeta when he worked at the bakery. He married Johanna's mom. So now Johanna and Peeta are more like siblings than before. After we got married, Peeta took over his father's bakery, which is now the most famous in Panem. Annie and Finnick got married a month after us and Finn turned 2 three months ago. Cato and Clove and Marvel and Glimmer had a double wedding a year later. Clove and Cato have a nine month old baby named Sophie. Marvel and Glimmer have a three month old baby named Ruby. Johanna broke up with Blight a month after my wedding, but she has a 1 year old son named Byron. Nobody but her knows whose the father. Although, he looks awfully familiar. I don't think even the father knows.

Suddenly the doorbell rings and Willow jumps excitedly. Peeta opens the do to reveal Finnick, Annie, Clove, Cato, Finn and Sophie.

"Come on in guys!" Peeta exclaims cheerily.

"Finn!" Willow shirks excitedly.

"Will!" Finn responds on the same tone. They run towards each other and hug.

"You know, Peety, we should already start saving for their wedding." Finnick says jokingly.

"I think that might be a good idea." Peeta laughs. We all laugh too while Willow, Finn and Sophie just look at us confused.

"Why don't you guys go play outside?" I tell Willow.

She smiles and takes Finn's and Sophie's hand and start walking outside.

Soon Glimmer and Marvel come with Ruby.

"I swear, Willow and Finn are my new OTP." She says as she sees Finn give Willow a lily. We all just laugh at her excited as she rock little Ruby, who is already a fashionista like her mother even though she's only 3 months. 

Soon after, Johanna arrives with Byron.

"Jeez, you're late." I tell Johanna after she escorts Byron outside to play with the other kids.

"Well, Brainless, I don't really have a lover boy to help with Byron like you do." She says smiling sadly.

"Talking about Byron's father, who is he? I think it's time you tell us. After all, we are your best friend since kindergarten." Cato says.

"I'll tell you. If y'all promise not to get mad at me. Especially you, Brainless. " Johanna says.

"We won't, Jo." I assure her. If I were to get mad I'd be mad to whoever left Johanna and Byron.

"Ok. First, you need to know that I was really drunk and I wasn't over Blight just yet. Plus, you were all getting married and leaving me alone. I know you didn't do it purposely, though. So one night, a friend of mine threw a party and I went. I was drinking at the bar when this guy, who we all thought was bad and vicious, sat next to me and we started talking. Turns out he is actually really sweet and nice. He even apologized for everything he did to us and it seemed genuine. We got drunk. One thing led to another, and next thing I know, we wake up naked on the same bed. I lost my virginity and my phone that night. We agreed to never talk about what happened because, in a way, I was supposed to hate him. He apologized once more for all he did to us with that stupid blonde who had a crush on Peeta and said he was just a stupid high school boy then but had changed. We decided to be friends secretly. We even became best friends. A month later I found myself pregnant. I knew it was his. I had never had sex with anyone else. I completely cut out our communication. I even changed my phone number. Afraid of what he might think. 'Till this day, he still doesn't know about Byron, who looks like him more everyday. Byron's father is ... Gale." She says with a single tear running down her cheek, but she quickly wipes it. Everyone is silent. "I'm sorry."

"Oh, Jo. You have nothing to be sorry for." I say giving her a hug. I could never be mad at her. It's clear that Gale has changed.

"You should tell him. Like, right now. You can use our phone. Tell him to come over." Peeta says.

"I don't think...." She starts but cut her off.

"Yes. Do it now. We are all here for you." I tell her and the group nods.

"Ok." She says.

Johanna's POV

I walk to the phone and fail the phone number of the guy who was my best friend and is the father of my son.

"Hello?" He answers.

"Hi, Gale. It's Johanna."

"Jo! Oh my God! It's been so long! How are you?! Is this your new number?" He says excitedly.

"Yeah, it's been a while. No, I'm calling from Katniss's and Peeta's house phone. I've been ok. Yourself?" I try to sound the same but miserably fail.

"I've been good. Why were you avoiding me, though? I thought we were best friends."

"We are. It's just.... *sigh* I have a son. He's yours." I decide to just say it. There is no point in sugar coating it.

"Oh. Are you sure he's mine?"

"Yes, Gale! I never had sex with anyone else!" I yell.

"How old is he?"

"He just turned one."

"Why are you telling me this just now?"

"I was afraid you wouldn't want to see me anymore." I whisper.

"So you made the decision for me?!" He yells angrily.

"I'm sorry okay! I was scared! I didn't know what to do!" I tell back crying.

"I'm sorry. Can I meet him?"

"You have nothing to be sorry for. If you want to meet him you can come to Katniss and Peeta's house. They said it was ok."

"I shouldn't have yelled at you. Are you sure they're ok with me coming?"

"Yes. They actually encouraged me to call you."

"Ok. I'll be there in ten." He hangs up.

"Is everything alright, Jo." Katniss asks from the doorway.

"Yes. He's coming to meet Byron." I say.

"Come on. Let's get you some water." She says.

Ten minutes later, Gale arrives. Peeta opens the door and comes back talking to Gale like they were old friends. When Gale and I see each other, we collapse in an embrace that feels like we were both longing for it.

"I'll go get Byron." Katniss says and leaves the room. Peeta follows suit and goes to the kitchen with everyone else to eavesdrop. Even though we're adults now, we still act like teenagers.

"What does he look like?" Gale asks.

"Just like you, actually." I say. Just then Kat walks in with Byron. She put him on the floor and goes to the kitchen with the Victors.

"Momma!" Byron squeals and runs to my arm. I lift him on my lap. "Who this?" He says pointing at Gale.

"That's your daddy, pumpkin. Gale this is Byron. Your son." I introduce them.

"Dada!" Byron exclaims and launched himself  at Gale hugging him tightly.

"Hello, buddy." Gale says and hugs Byron.

"Why don't you go back out and play with Finn, Willow and Sophie? Mommy and daddy need to talk." I say what they release.

"Okay." He says and runs out.

"He has a friendly personality." Gale says.

"Yeah." I say smiling at my child.

"I wonder where he got that from?"

"Well, he spends a lot of time with Peeta. We're step-siblings now." I say.

"Makes sense." He says chuckling. "Johanna, I really want to be a part of Byron's life. Only if you'd let me of course." He says after a moment of silence.

"Of course!" I say.

"Jo?"

"Hm?"

"Would you be my girlfriend?" He says looking in my eyes.

"Is this just because of of Byron?"

"No! I really like you." He says.

"Then I would love to."I say and we kiss.

Katniss's POV

We are all huddled against the wall trying to listen to what Jo and Gale are saying.

"I can't hear anything!" Glimmer whisper shouts.

"Maybe we should leave them be." Marvel says.

"Yeah. They'll tell us soon enough." Peeta says and we all sit and chat.

Seconds later Johanna and Gale come in holding hands.

"When did that happen?" Finnick asks teasingly.

"Oh, don't act like you weren't eavesdropping!" She says.

"Yeas but we couldn't hear. Good thing this walls are thick. I can't imagine the things poor Willow would have to listen to if they weren't." Finnick says and I choke on my water, Peeta turns bright and the rest just laugh.

Later on, there's only Annie and Finnick left here when Willow and fin come in with puppy dog eyes.

"Daddy, mommy, can Willow come home and sleepover?" Finn asks and him and Willow pout up to Finnick.

"If Kat and Peeta say it's ok then yes." Annie says.

"Daddy, can I? Pweaseeeee?" Willow asks Peeta with a voice and face she knows he can't deny anything to him. Peeta and I look at each other and see we're both ok.

"Sure honey." Peeta says.

Soon after they all leave and Peeta and I head upstairs.

"You know, it's been a while since we had fun." He says kissing up my neck.

"We should fix that." I say turning around and kissing him full on the lips. The rest of the night is a blur.
